I have been looking for a decent replacement for my inflator as well as a compressor that could do a little more. This refurbed Rockworth is a gem. It came looking totally new, with accessories and hose. The hose is basic and low capacity so I upgraded to a Goodyear 46501 3/8 inch. Directions were good. The size and power of this small, portable tool blows away many other choices. I have seen comparable units for 3 or 4 times the $$. The pressure gauges are accurate and the unit holds it's pressure for hours! I plan to use it for a nail gun, sprayer as well as easily airing my tires and toys. Great buy!I wanted to upgrade to a better compressor from my cheap 1 gallon pancake compressor. I chose this compressor based on its size, price, portability, and reviews. First off, this thing arrived lightning quick! I had it on my porch within two days of ordering, far faster than the usual 7-10 days with standard (free) shipping from Amazon. It came in a big box with triple-thick cardboard padding. The listing says "Factory Reconditioned" but man, you would never know it to look at it! It looks brand new! The paint even smells fresh! Unlike other "reconditioned" units, you would never know that this was a used product. My hat is off to the rebuild team at Rockworth! The user manual, however, looked like it had been dropped on a gravel road and run over a few times. The listing also states that there are no accessories included. This is incorrect. My unit came with 25' of (cheap) coil hose, rated 200 PSI; two male nipples (steel); two female nipples (Steel); one brass quick disconnect; one brass tire chuck, and both a male and female union; two inflation needles; a blow gun with four nozzles; a (cheap) plastic tire gauge; and a roll of (cheap) teflon tape. Not the best kit in the world, but far more than I was expecting, and certainly more than enough to get the unit working right out of the box.
The unit is compact and not too noisy, if you know what a compressor is supposed to sound like. If you don't, then it doesn't matter what compressor you buy, you will still be surprised by how loud they are. It is not too heavy and it is well-balanced and easy to carry. The big rubber feet are nice and stable, and the rubber hand grip is a nice touch. The drain valve is nice, especially when you live in a humid climate. The pressure relief valve is big and lets a lot of air out quickly. The unit has two gauges, not one I don't think that's specified in the listing but it would be nicer if both gauges were on the front of the unit.
I would have given it five stars but for the manual looking like it was chewed by a dog, and for the one time it over-inflated and blew out the relief valve for some reason. Still, if that's the only thing I have to watch out for on this compressor, then I believe I have made a great deal!

I purchased this compressor because of the reviews it received from other Amazon patrons. So far, they were right on the money! I used this unit a few times for various projects and it performed as expected. What else can I say?I wanted a compressor that filled tires quickly, was fairly quiet and compact. I had owned other compressors in the past...some smaller, some larger. This one is just right for my small garage. It filled my truck tires at 50+lbs in quick time, regenerated the tank adequately and fast, and is pretty lightweight. The only disappointment is that it is not as quiet as I would like it to be; although it is quieter than my last compressor that was priced lower (a joke of a compressor and sold it). Since I was impressed with the quick fill rate, I would recommend this compressor as a step up from the under $100 compressors. Great price good compressor.
