Rockford CAT1040 10 Gallon Air Compressor
  • Reliable, long-lasting pump
  • Ideal for heavy-duty home or garage use
  • Three-horsepower motor

  • 4.1 CFM at 90 PSI

it was very easy to set up, and works good for a small shop compressor. It's a little loud in small shop.

Product arrived in only a few days, well packaged and in good condition. Only a few bolts and nuts to install wheels. The unit has been working flawlessly. So far it's only been used for pumping up car tires and the grandkids basketballs, footballs, etc..

I bought this for my garage on Amazon. When I opened the box, I noticed the oil that came with it had spilled all over inside the box, but that is not the reason for the poor review. I also noticed that the finishing over the housing on the motor was not machined well. It was good enought that it sealed and surprisingly the oil didn't leak around the gasket. After a few weeks of use, the plastic fan cracked. I emailed rockford to get a part and there was no response. Since the motor could no longer stay cool, it didn't take long for the motor to overheat. So that was that. A waste of $200.00 Do yourself a favor and get an oil free air compressor. And if you are going to buy one, buy one locally, where you can take it back if you have problems. This motor draws around 1800 watts when running, and when starting around 3600 watts. Don't try to run this off a 10 amp breaker as it will trip. 110 volts x 10 amps =1100 watts. Not enough.

Iron Horse IHCT-05 5-Gallon 150 PSI Max Portable Air Tank

Iron Horse IHCT-05 5-Gallon 150 PSI Max Portable Air Tank
  • Portable Air tank
  • 150 PSI capacity
  • Maximum performance
  • Great for any shop farm or home
  • hand carry portable

Nothing in particular wrong with it. I opened it when i got it to make sure was no debris(like drill or tapping chips) and all i found was a bit of silica crystals for absorbing moisture. Converted with regulator and use it as a portable airbrush tank. Last about 1.5 hours from full for me(filled to 140 psi, airbrush @15-25 psi or so), so nice and portable and easy to refill. Got the 5 gallon so would be light enough to be convenient for my wife to use as well. Would be best to reassemble with Teflon tape, as its just got the thread paint on it stock.

I purchased this tank because of its higher 150psi rating. The tank arrived in good condition (no dents/damage), but after further inspection I noticed the tank contained all kinds of debris internally. I had to disassemble the valve body and then spend hours fishing metal slag and chips, some so big in size they would not fit through the 3/4" threaded opening (I had to break-up some to remove). I would strongly suggest using an in-line filter if using this with an airbrush, tool, etc. Besides that, it was a reasonable price for portable air.

The tank doesn't hold presure for over 2 days. The presure release releases at 120, not 150psi. I won't recoment this unit to anybody.

I love my 2 tanks but you have to put in love to get them perfect.

I would recomend these tanks if you need more air and don't want you'r compressor turning ON/OFF and waiting for rebuilding pressure.

i had been looking for one for a few weeks. walmart has them alot higher. this one works just as good and alot cheaper
