After the storm, I decided to stock up on supplies and to keep a good supply of kerosene and other fuels in the house. The Midwest Can 5 gallon can was just what I wanted: blue (so I don't confuse it with gasoline), easy to pour and with a fairly sturdy auto-shutoff. A pair of these and my two kerosene heaters can probably keep my house from freezing for at least a day or two in an emergency.
Otherwise, what can you say about a kerosene can? It's rugged enough plastic and looks like it will last a long time. Glad to have it, as they are difficult to find locally and almost impossible in a storm.
Only issue is that the shipper was a bit slow about three weeks from order to delivery.
