When I started looking at these retractable air hoses I was surprised by how much they cost. I found this one and thought I might as well try it, if it didn't work I could return it. I am very impressed, it is a piece of cake to mount with the included screws and the hose pulls out and retracts very well. The case is high quality. I just have a small home shop and won't be putting too much strain on it but for the price it's perfect for me. The only thing I could fault it for is the process of winding the hose in, if you don't feed the hose in from side to side it can jam up but it's pretty easy to get it to feed back in correctly. I am very impressed with this unit and recommend it to others.

My hose reel seems to be well made and was easy to install. The 50 foot hose is a plus compared to the 20 foof I hde before. I'm satisfied with it and would recomended this product as a good buy.

I have had this hose reel for 4 years now and today I had to take it down because the hose split where it connects to the reel. This reel works great in the warmer weather but every winter the PVC hose becomes stiff and will not retract. I have to push the hose back in.

I am trying to get it apart and will replace the PVC hose with rubber hose.

Of course I went thru the installation before I aired the thing up thinking everything would be ok....wrong...after listening closely I found it had an internal air leak that I could not fix, so I exchanged it for another one (which Amazon handles EXPERTLY!!) and so far so good with the second one. I got so tired of see the dang air hose laying around. Hopefully this lasts a few years (fingers crossed).
