I was in the market for a new spray gun with a 1.3 mm tip. I had a gift card for Amazon and was searching their site for paint guns. I stumbled across this one, took a chance, and I'm glad I did. I had never heard of Neiko Tools before, but this gun looked nice in the picture, so I ordered it. I was looking for a gun for under $100. The problem with most budget guns is that they all seem to be made by the same cheap Chinese factory. This one is different. The construction seems top notch, the feel is nice, and it really lays down the paint nice. I bought this strictly for clear coat. I've only used it a few times but I'm very pleased. It is also more efficient with the paint than my other hvlp guns. I put the amount that I normally would have used in my old gun into this one. When my project was done I had quite a bit left. The only gripe that I have, and it's small, is the weight. It's a little heavier than all my other guns. I could see where someones arm might get tired if they were painting something big. All in all, for the price, It's a great paint gun.

I basically bought this for spraying primer coats, but it shoots a well patterned spray that I'm sure would work for the finest of base/clear coats. Actually going to order another for backup!

It does not say who made it but the material is all sub-quality MIM or pot metal. Looks nice & breaks easily. Get a different one if you can.

I bought this based on the reviews here. First off, this gun is NOT hvlp. It took many more pounds PSI to spray than what what is stated, both in the description and in the instructions. For that amount of pressure, you are much better off with a traditional siphon sprayer. The tip is too small to spray primer, and would not spray a three part acrylic enamel, without major orange peel. A major disappointment. I returned mine.

I purchased the Neiko 1.3 mm HVLP as a stand in while I replace parts on my regular gun. The gun was not a disappointment. It performed better than I expected, I used it for both base and clear coat applications and it laid down both very well. My only complaints would be the low quality (cheap) gauge and plastic top.
