It worked well. Trigger got stuck sometimes.... Overall, it did the job at a cheap price. If you're a DIYer, you need to make sure you have a compressor, compressor lines and fittings and pressure regulator. This doesn't come with instructions. All it comes with is the gun, hopper, and some fittings for the spray pattern. They have a diagram for you to order parts as well.

The texture gun pictured was not the same one we received. There was no hose included, the gun & the hopper were all different than pictured. My husband revamped the gun & put on a shut off valve, which really helped! It did a nice job of texturing & was easy to use. Shipping was very fast. After we "modified" the gun with the shut off valve, we are very happy with it. I just think it would be more professional to actually send the unit that is pictured.

After using this tool twice it has a serious flaw defect,the trigger sticks which results in a stuck trigger that ends all operation. First positive review was after only limited use. Now the same thing happens on the bench and after numerous attemps to repair, it just doesn't work. Sorry.

The plastic bowl is sturdy and locks positively. Removes moisture enough for the tools i use (no paint or sandblast.) Without the auto drain its rather annoying to drain the bowl. When the system is pressurized it takes a lot of force to push in that drain. Without any pressure the collected liquid comes out rather slowly. I just end up taking out the bowl and dumping it out.

I bought a series of these regulators and moisture traps, in less than a year, two of the inline filters bleeder valves went bad and one regulator came apart inside the housing and could not be fixed. these where not mistreated items they where kept out of the sun under cover, placed a long distance off the compressor to keep them cool, and the lines where bled at the end of every day. I paid extra for these items wich should have been a premium grade setup and have been very disappointed in there life span. When I contacted Ingersoll Rand they refused any replacement or reimbursement for every item that went bad and would not honor the warranty that came with the regulator or moisture traps.

This is a very well made product that functions exactly as it should. It's used daily and protects my downstream air tools from any ick that may move through the airlines.

The lock/release button makes this unit MUCH easier to open than other types. Very easy to operate. Make sure you order the model with the correct inlet/outlet thread size for your application. Would be nice if it had a mounting bracket, but since I mounted next to the pressure regulator, it wasn't necessary. Also, this unit will not trap ALL moisture if mounted close to the compressor -as the air temperature drops downstream more moisture will condense out and you may still need another trap at the air tool.

It may earn 5 stars after I have had it awhile, but this review is based on just having recieved and installed it today.

Seems well-made and solid. Bowl appears to be a better design than the Miltons water separators I have been using.
