I bought this sandblaster for a few weekend projects. It is very easy to use, and works fantastic! I used it to sandblast engine cases on my 1960 Harley. I purchased a grit called "Starblast" on the recomendation of my local supplier. This stuff worked great in the Cambell Hausfeld, and gave me professional looking results.

Purchased this to help restore a fire hydrant, It worked well. I used reqular play sand which I screened to get small rocks out. The blaster worked well even with this and no special sand.

For under $50.00 I was very skeptical if this was going to work or not. It works DAMN well for the price. My only problems were with the sand. There were some larger pebbles that would jam up in the nozzle. A quick twist and they were gone but it was an inconvenience. I ended up sifting the sand with a screen and the reliability was perfect. I was using medium grit... I suspect that fine grit would have been less difficult to blast with. This sand blaster was used to clean the frame of my Jeep Wrangler. I just took a hammer to knock off the heavy stuff and cleaned it up with the blaster. GET GOGGLES... not glasses. I'm still plucking sand from my eyes.

Works great small jobs, but I wouldn't try to do anything bigger than a few odds and ends. Very straight forward set up and assembly. I just poured in some play sand directly from the bag and it worked great with no clogs. Definitely need goggles and need to work in area that you don't mind looking like a beach when you're done.

I guess since I didn't pay much for it I shouldn't expect much. You have to hold the tip less than 2" from what you are working with. You need to shake canister often so material will come out after level is down to 1/4. I tried using sand but it didn't work and had to use black beauty for the job.
