Let me start off by saying that the best price i found on this item is not on amazon but rather at home depot ($279), which makes this set a really great deal.

The compressor is likely the weakest link in this set. It is relatively noisy, although still much quieter than my 2.5hp 33gal craftsman, and there definitely are better options in this size.

Both nailers and the stapler are all superb. They're quiet and reliable. I am using cheap harbor freight nails and have not got a single jam in a few weeks of use. The depth adjustment is tool free and works very well on all three tools.

Overall, this is one of the best deals out there for a high quality nailer combo with a decent compressor.

This is a nice combo pack for the weekend user or hobbyist. The compressor requires no maintenance... a definite consideration when buying. Everything is easily accessible for adjustments and connections. The unit is compact, fairly light and packs up well for mobility. Compressor is a bit loud but I can live with that for the price. There is no air nozzle included, you'll need to buy that separately.

I hadn't as much as touched a nail gun prior to this purchase so I was a bit apprehensive at first. I was doing a remodel project and opted to do my own custom trim so I needed something for fast and clean nailing and finish nailing. This combo package was absolutely perfect for my project. Very easy to use and short learning curve. Quick-connect locking works great for switching from tool to tool very quickly. I liked the carrying case that it came with, makes for great storage of the guns and extra nails when not in use. The kit included most of what I needed I only added some accessories for some of the other cool things you can do once you haver a compressor in your home! I have had no issues at all and this has been a great decision for me. Based on some estimates I had done prior to my purchase this item paid for itself by the time I finished doing the trim in my second room. Based on my usage so far I am pretty sure the quality of this Porter Cable product will stand the test of time at the least, long enough for me to finish my project.

I'm very happy with my purchase of this kit. My dad does remodeling for a living and I've had alot of experience helping him out and using his expensive and professional tools so in general I'm difficult to please when it comes to tools, but I'm very happy with this purchase. I really like the fact that everything you need is included. I don't like having to go buy pieces in order to fit everything together. The only thing someone might need to go buy for this kit is a longer and maybe more durable air hose (this one works fine and is 25' long but stays curled up and doesn't actually stretch out to a full 25', probably more like a little under 20'.

When you are looking for a compressor, probably the number one complaint you are going to hear is that some of them are very loud. Well, I've used about ten on different job sites and at peoples houses helping them out and all of them have been loud. Some maybe slightly louder than others, but that just comes with the territory. An oil-less style compressor is always very loud. It doesn't bother me, but if I'm using a loud tool for an all day project I do like to wear ear plugs, and highly recommend it to others.

The compressor was easy to set up, worked just fine, has plenty of power, the controls are easy to use and shouldn't pose a problem to someone that hasn't used one before if they just read the manual quickly and is surprisingly light-weight. It fills up with air pretty quick too, so any of the guns it comes with you'll be able to do continuous work with without having to pause because the compressor is running out of air too fast. You might have this problem (as I've had before with other compressors) if you try to run a framing nail gun with this compressor. It could use up alot more air and you might have to wait to let it fill up, but it should have the power to shoot a framing nail gun with no trouble, which is something I like.

I have used all of the nail guns multiple times and they have performed flawlessly. I always shoot two or three practice nails into spare wood, adjust the depth on the gun to make sure it will get the nail or staple all the way sunk into the wood, and then I get to work. I've never had any of the guns jam and I've used probably 10000 nails on the 16 gauge gun and probably half as many on the brad nailer (judging by the number of boxes of nails I've purchased and used). I haven't had to do any maintenance on them or anything like that. I just blow them off before picking them up when I'm done with them. They don't feel quite as sturdy in my hand as some of the other brands that I've used but when I'm actually working with them, their performance is very good. The one problem I do have is that the little rubber tips on all of the guns are easy to knock off. If you don't store them carefully and are careful with them when using them you could easily knock them off. I don't like this because often I am using them for trim work, and that plastic is the only thing stopping the gun from putting dings in the trim as I'm putting it in. I've been able to keep track of mine so far, and have had to superglue one of them back on, but in my opinion, that's a small complaint for such an affordable set, and to be fair, it's a common problem. Probably the majority of the nail guns I've used over the years have had their rubber or plastic tips removed. With a little bit of care it's not that hard to keep track of them though, and I might be a little bit more picky about that than most.

In summary, I've owned the package for a year and a half and have been very happy with it. For a DIY type person this is more than enough power and doesn't break the bank, and I really like that. If I were in construction and used this kit every single day, I might would suggest a more heavy duty set, but I think this kit is an amazing deal for someone that is doing small home jobs or if you are like me and renovating your house.

I bought this combo pack in 2008 at a box store. I used it for various home-improvement projects, and found it a pleasure to work with... and then the compressor began to continuously leak air. (The three air tools all seem to be fine, including a heavily used stapler).

Seems ok quality for a few projects, but based on my experience, and other negative reviews here and on the compressor's page, don't expect the compressor to last.

1 star for the crummy compressor, 4 stars for the tools. The combo kit is still a good value for starting out.
