When I received the compressor and opened the box, the compressor housing appeared to be cracked and broken in a couple places and the compressor/motor assembly was loose on the tank. After inspecting the item it looked like the black plastic housing was indeed damaged. I called the company and gave them information and they said they would send a new housing, which did arrive about 10 days later. When I went to replace the housing assembly which required removing the compressor/motor assembly from the tank, I discovered that the cast aluminum frame of the assembly was broken off at the corners. This unit was obviously dropped on its top either before it left the warehouse or in transit. I have since been in contact with Campbell Hausfeld customer service at least 3 times now by way of email or by phone call and to one person in particular. This is becoming a classic case of "I'll get back to you later today" and they have not except for the first response. The customer service representative has said she needs to "check with her boss" about this. I frankly don't see what the hold up is. I sent her pictures of the broken assembly, and have asked that they send me a new one, since it is a part that is clearly shown on their parts diagram of the compressor. Campbell Hausfeld needs to make this right. I have tried to be patient in waiting for their action, but its going on a week now since I made the call.

This is a simple review the unit was delivered with metal brackets broken off inside the plastic houseing called the local dealer and was told it was the shippers problem.to get the unit out had to cut the box off and was unabie to return.

Still working well so far. Keeps good pressure and doesn't lag too much even when using a large blowgun with it. Great for a homeowner's occasional use.

Does exactly what I need it for, the occaisional ball or wheel fill and can handle any house or shop project requiring an air sprayer or nail gun. Uses less space due to the upright orientation, and I love the brass drain fitting that won't be caked with rust in a year or two. Oil-free for easy intermittant usage, about as quiet as an air compressor can be. I read a few reviews about shipping damage or arriving in poor shape, but I watched and noted everyting (I uploaded photos about the packaging). It arrived with some of the internal foam chewed up but after vacuuming up the krinkles in the box, I pulled it out, put in 4 screws for the handle, and attached the two wheels, fired it up and it ran to full pressure and cut off with no leakage or issues. Slick little unit with enough oomph for slightly larger jobs but small enough to tuck away in the garage. I also like the really big Rubber Bumpers on the rest to keep it from rattling or moving when running.

Bought this at Lowes floor person had no idea what he was talking about but bought it in spite of him. Easy set up f or 1 person works as promised. Don't miss instructions on break in. Takes a lot of power cant have lights on in garage or it doesn't run right. Overall I would recommend.
