This spout is awful, I used it exactly twice before it broke apart trying to get it unstuck from my Subaru. I was lucky the tank wasn't full otherwise I wouldn't have been able to stop the flow of gas.

The spout construction is terrible. It is impossible to pour without spilling. The mechanism is clunky, and the o-ring at the spout does not seal well. The hard plastic spout makes transportation and storage hard, and I am ever afraid of braking it. The cap is also useless. It is made of hard plastic with no seal. Its hook connects to the spout at location which obstructs the pouring. I tried to find the can with the flexible tube that slides inside it and is pulled out when pouring, but nobody sells those locally. I could only find this terrible type. This piece of crap is hard to use and outright dangerous. Good intention implemented in a very wrong way. I am sure it was created in order to satisfy some legislation, and I am writing this review in hope that the design gets reviewed and a replacement is implemented.

This little container is just the perfect size for carrying and pouring petrol for the generator for our Travel Trailer. I don't know why others say it leaks, maybe I accidently did something right and lucked out for a change. Haven't the foggest what that might be though, all I did was follow the directions. Anyway, it's light, fits in strange storage places is easy to pour and handle.

1 gal is too small, 4 & 5 gals is too heavy for me. This one would be Goldilocks dream petrol container.

The only reason I am not giving one star is that I assume some machinery will push the spring loaded spout back correctly. However, when putting in my generator, it does not. I am left trying to pour and also pull back on the spout. I am trying to keep it in the mouth while pulling back -unless you have amazing skill you are going to spill -fire hazard. AVOID unless you are sure the usage you have will automatically push it back.

This gas can is good for the price but I don't care for the spout. I changed it to my old flexible spout that fits this can. It's much easier to use. I guess the way the spout works is alright but I prefer the much simpler flexible spout. Had to cut an air vent which I plug with a rubber stopper.

After 15 years of hard use my IR 2131 impact wrench finally broke, the corners of the anvil rounded off. Got the rebuild kit, installed it in about 10 minutes. Worked great, the only problem was my fault, I failed to pre-lube the anvil where the hammers hit. After several minutes of use it started jamming up. A quick disassemble and thick coat of IR grease and she was back up and running great. I expect another 15 vyears or more out of it! BTW, the kit picyured is a generic kit from IR's website, the 2131-THK1 kit fits the IR2131 with normal length anvil and is different from the picture.
