New Air Pressure Regulator 100 CFM 1/2" w/ Free Gauge & Free Shipping

My portable Hitachi compressor used a 1/4 inch regulator. When using high flow tools, there was a 10-15 psi drop across the regulator. Not acceptable.

The 1/2 regulator rated at 100 CFM (far more than I use, or the compressor can product) has a drop of 2-4 psi. Impact wrench much happier and works harder.

Only down side is the body is reinforced fiber. You do need to be cautions of not tightening your fittings too much...

Would recommend purchase.

Flexeel 1/4" x 15 Polyurethane Coil Hose

Flexeel 1/4' x 15 Polyurethane Coil Hose
  • 15 feet of hose
  • Made from polyurethane
  • Rated at -40 degrees to +165 degrees Fahrenheit with a working pressure of 200 PSI
  • Fittings not included
  • The 1/4" diameter hose retains its flexibility even in the coldest of conditions

This unit is just about perfectly thought through and the material fantastic. It is strong, flexible whenever, and while it feels a little strange greasy, sticky, soft, it handles very well. The slight length difference on each end is smartly designed, and the diameter of the "permanent" curl is perfect.

Amcor AF8000E 8,000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner

Amcor AF8000E 8,000-BTU Portable Air ConditionerI can't say I've had as good an experience as others reported here...the main problem I've discovered is that the compressor only cycles on for about seven minutes at a time, followed by fifteen minutes during which the machine simply operates as a fan and blows in hot air from outside. Company info on their web site indicates that this is being done to prevent the compressor from overheating--unfortunately, this results in the compressor remaining cool while my small studio apartment (only 200 sq feet) remains too hot. I don't know if other units have similar limitations, but I would hesitate to recommend this product on the basis of my own experience. Hope this is helpful to anyone looking to make a buying decision...

Overall I am very satisfied with this portable air conditioner.

The Good:

-Shipping was extremely fast (2 days for standard shipping).

-Installation was a breeze.

-The air that comes out is actually cold, and powerful. The fan produces a terrific draft of cool air.

-It cools the room quickly.

-The evaporative draining system is great... no emptying buckets of water constantly!

The Bad:

-It does make some noise (no more than a normal window air conditioner would). But I would say the relief from a hot, humid day is well worth the buzzing noise.

-The exhaust hose was larger than I expected. Which means if you don't place the air conditioner strategically, it can be a huge eye sore in the room.

However, it does do its job well and I would recommend this unit to anyone needing to cool a room/dorm/small apartment. Enjoy!

I purchased this unit out of desperation in the midst of a heat-wave. I read a lot of reviews and settled on this guy, and I'm not disappointed. My living room isn't huge (approx. 12'x16'), but it cools it down effectively.

The Pros:

My girlfriend loves the remote. You can change the mode, target temperature, fan speed, and turn it on and off without moving off the couch.

I like that it shows you the temperature. I also like that it automatically kicks the compressor on and off as needed.

No buckets to empty.

The Cons:

When the other reviews talk about the exhaust tube being big, they're lying. It's FREAKIN' HUGE. Think dryer hose.

There's no way (that I've found, at least) to set it to turn off when it hits the target temperature. I still panic over high energy bills, so it's scary to leave it running all the time. I'd like it a lot more if it would not only kill the compressor, but shut down the whole unit when the room becomes cool enough.

It's fairly noisy. I don't have a lot of experience with air conditioners, but it's louder than the few units I've been around before. It's not terrible, though, so this is only a half-con. More of a concern, I guess.

It's not an Energy Star appliance. That was my biggest hesitation point before I ultimately bought this unit.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I might come back and change my tune after I've seen a couple months of energy bills, but last month's only went up marginally. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Much better than my old window units. Because of the portability you can make the most of the 8000 BTUs by directing the air at the right location and level. I also live in the Northeast so there are many days I can just roll it into a closet until the next heat wave. No ugly window unit just sitting there all summer. You may have to cut a piece of plastic if you want a custom window fit but I simply make up the gap of several inches with a small white rag that blends right in -easy to move to windows of different sizes. Highly recommend this Amcor model!!! Be careful if you select other units as this is a newer technology at these price points so a brand name may not mean much. I never heard of Amcor but the great reviews on this unit swayed me and it has been rock solid. No water to drain. I suspect as you go to higher BTUs with any brand you run the risk of it being more unreliable.

This unit has been a life saver as I live in a very old home with no central air and only one bedroom window that I hated to block out the light with a regular window unit. The attaching of the hose and window kit was so simple. I put it together after working a twelve hour shift and went to bed for a good night's sleep, finally. I like the way I can roll it into a closet when cooler days are here although the unit is not huge or ugly. The casters were a good idea as well as the nano-mist dispersion of condensation water. One reviewer spoke of it's noisiness. True it is louder than my quiet fan, but since the sound is relatively consistant, I find it helpful to lull me to sleep as I work nights alot and the daily neighborhood noises (traffic, playing children, construction, and lawn mowers) have been a problem in the past. I priced many similar units in stores and on line. This one is priced affordably, looks good and does the job. Get it.

Legacy Manufacturing L8310 Levelwind Retractable Air Hose Reel with 3/8-Inch ID, 100-Foot Hose

Legacy Manufacturing L8310 Levelwind Retractable Air Hose Reel with 3/8-Inch ID, 100-Foot Hose

  • Adjustable hose stopper, seven position locking bracket
  • Latching mode switch, extra large 3/4-inch swivel
  • Free standing base, durable UV stabilized polypropylene construction

Well engineered, a little more plastic than I would have expected but it works as described. The levelwind is a plus just pull back on the hose and walk it in.

The reel work great and for the price with 100' of hose, you can't beat it.

Love the 100' hose length. The reason I ordered it. I was disappointed in the spring tension when rewinding it. Although it is adjustable, the instructions recommend only tightening 1 turn past its factory setting. I had to go 3 turns past that just to get it to rewind the hose all the way! Seems OK otherwise, considering it is plastic. Just with the reviews I read, it would be a little "sturdier".

If you live in a cold climate you will probably want to replace the air hose with an all rubber hose. Also, either the length of the 100ft of hose or the restriction of the hose connection at the reel, or both, gives a noticeable drop in air supply compared to a 50ft hose connected directly to the compressor. When airing up tires it is no problem but does cut back on your impact wrench power. I'm not marking the reel down for these conditions because those concerns are just physics issues and for $120 it is still a good buy. The reel part, the swivel, the mounting, and the quality are all fine. Update: I replaced the 100ft hard plastic hose with a rubber hose. The air pressure/volume returned and the rubber hose is much nicer to work with. The OD of the rubber hose is much larger than the plastic hose. A 75ft rubber hose might be a snug fit inside the reel. Legacy had to use the plastic hose to get 100ft to fit. Also, the spring tension was way tighter than I like it from the factory so I followed the instructions to lessen the pull by several turns. Now it pulls out easily and still returns on its own gracefully.

I started with a pretty sour taste for this product. The first one that I received did not retract no matter what. Luckily Amazon was great about taking it back and shipping me another -all on their expense. The second works great. It's kind of cheaply built and I wonder how long it will last, but since this is just for my work shop it should last long while. I would definitely not buy this if you were going to use it all day, every day.

I've had it for two months now and it's still working just fine after being used a good amount. I do like the way it winds the hose as it retracts and even when it's out 80' or more it still has enough power to pull it in.

SORRY TO SAY "IT IS NOT THE "BRASS"" CHECK VALVE THAT I ORDERED, SEVERAL PLACES ON THE PART PLAINLY INDICATE THAT IT IS NOT BRASS, BUT A PLATING. IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME THROUGH AND THROUGH AS THE """"POT METAL"""" (NOT "BRASS") CHECK VALVE THAT FAILED/BROKE ON MY COMPRESSOR PREVIOUSLY.

THE CASTING IS RELATIVE CRUDE & THIN TO THE POINT THAT HOLES ARE PRESENT INSIDE BETWEEN THE THREADS OF THE CAP/CLOSURE AND THE ENTERING AIR CAVITY TO THE POINT, SO IT LEAVES THAT POINT OF THE CASTING WITHOUT SUFFICIENT STRENGTH AND ALMOST NO SUPPORT IN THE THREADS FOR THE MAIN HOUSING. IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN RELATIVELY SAFE IF THE CASTING THICKNESS WERE MORE SUBSTANTIAL THROUGHOUT. IT REMINDS ME OF THE RELATIVELY LOW QUALITY PARTS SEEN IN THE 1950'S & 1960'S FROM THAT AREA OF THE WORLD. it is "NOT BRASS"

Ampro A6034 Low Volume Low Pressure LVLP Spray Gun Set, 3-Piece

Ampro A6034 Low Volume Low Pressure LVLP Spray Gun Set, 3-Piece
  • Low volume, low pressure, uses a lower volume of air with operating pressure of 15 - 45 PSI
  • Spray pattern 7-to-11-inches
  • Precision machined air cap set
  • Color coded needle and nozzle for easy identification
  • Both guns feature 1 liter aluminum paint cup

I researched many HVLP and LVLP sprayers before buying this because I have a small air compressor with only 1.5 Gallon storage capacity and 3CFM at 40psi. Many discussion groups simply tell you that with such a small compressor and low CFM, you can not hope to get good atomization and spray results with any type of gun. But having used this LVLP 1.3mm gun (I have yet to use the 1.7mm nozzle), I was really amazed at the quality of the spray at just 20 PSI setting at the gun inlet with trigger fully pulled and spray pattern set to circular (but 65 PSI setting at compressor). It needs about 25 PSI if you adjust the spray pattern to fan-shaped because some air has to be diverted to shape the spray beam through the nozzle horns. The design of the gun gives you very fine control of the air volume, paint density and spray patterns. If you compare this design with some of the most expensive IWATA guns (e.g. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=ast-39570) , they are similarespecially the location of the air-volume control knob. Somehow, I feel that an in-line adjustment creates less turbulence in the internal air stream than the transverse type of adjustment (e.g. http://www.spraygunworld.com/products/Titan/19200.htm). By playing around with the 4 parameters of a: Pressure at Compressor, b: Pressure at Gun inlet, c: Paint density, d: Air volumeyou can get good atomization and spray results. BUT something has to giveat the fine atomization needed, the amount of materials sprayed is less than that from a higher CFM gun. I guess this is plain physics of balancing the amount of air and paint whilst maintaining atomized droplet sizeless air means less paint. For the occasional projects around the house, I feel this reduction in speed of coverage is amply compensated by the nice professional results that you can get out of these LVLP guns. Compared to brushes, the results are much better and the paint covers 3 times more area approx. The guns are well made with chrome all round.

A6034 is priced low but still provides good quality spray like more expensive units. Sprayer nozziles are 1.3 mm and 1.7 mm, which can produce good quality paint.

It sprays polyurathane, stains, and all types of oil-based finish materials without having any trouble. The output quality is fairly good.

I used 1.3mm nozzle to spray urethane for bookcase finish. I could spray the stain easily and achive the very consistent output. Also I sprayed the final finish and its surface is silky smooth. That is the point I'm happy for the purchase of this gun set.

The entire finish process for bookcase was much faster than brush painting, took less than 1/10 of time. Also it uses very small amout of paint. Due to lvlp, it saves a lot of materials.

Clean up was easy too. Just pour mineral spirit a little in the cup, rinse it, and spray through the gun. It cleans up real easy. I've used this gun more than 10 times now, so far have no problem using this way.

But I've had ample problem on spraying latex paint. I dilued latex paint with water and tried floetrol also. Neither way was working well, it just spatters because latex paint needs bigger nozzle, at least 2.0mm.

I tried to contact this company and found the web site, but all facilities are in China and Taiwan. Sent emails twice to inquire about purchasing bigger nozzles, but haven't received any response from the company or their CS over a month.

So I decided to buy PC PSH1 with 2.2mm nozzle kit to spray latex paint.

Overall Ampro quality is good enough as long as you spray oil-based finishes. Also the gun set is not for automotive type fine finish. If you need that fine finish, you have get a gun, which has nozzle size less than 1.0mm.

I've been holding off purchase of an HVLP spray set up for two reasons. Fisrt, the gravity systems have required 8 to 12 CFM airflow to operate properly and two, the turbine systems are yet another item to store in an already overcrowded garage / workshop.

These guns operate nicely on 3 to 4 cfm at 30psi and they works great with my 3 gal shop compressor, even on larger furniture. I've been spraying two coats of General Finishes Milk Paint followed by wipe on Glaze with two or three coats of Water Based Poly (General Finishes). The 1.7mm tip provides a well atomized, easy to control coat with these products. I had one older can of paint that required a little thinning but otherwise I've sprayed right out of the can. These are very nice finishes and readily available.

Cleaning is easy, especially if you go buy the disposable gravity cups from Harbor Freight ($6.99 for several). I just dump out excess paint, flush out with a spray of water and take it to the sink. I've been removing the front fan piece and spray head so that I can run a brush through it but I'm not sure you have to. It only takes a minute or two so I do it.

Overall very pleased with these for much less money than I expected to pay. My only reason for the four star review is that the adjustment knobs could be smoother and of higher quality, minor issue overall.
