Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect

Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect
  • Aids in removal of water from water lines
  • Quick connect attaches to air compressor quick connect hose
  • Plug screws into RV's city water inlet
  • Patented
  • Completely clear your water lines

Assuming the RV is level and the water pump is off and has been either cleaned out of water, or RV antifreeze has been added already. Simply screw this blow-out into the outside "community water port" (the port has an internal pressure valve that should be relieved of its pressure by opening a faucet and pushing on the plastic valve behind the hose seal screen (like on the female end of a hose) and attach a compressor (max 25 lbs pressure) AFTER opening a sink faucet first.

Turn on compressor AFTER opening a cold sink faucet, then open the hot side, close cold side, go to second sink, open cold, close hot on first sink, on second sink open hot and close cold (do all sinks blowing out water from each hot and cold line, not developing pressure always keep a side open) turn on the inside shower cold side, turn off sink hot side, back to shower open hot, close cold, flush toilet and keep open until water is out and mainly air comes out, same if you have a wand then close them, leave shower on/open and go to the outside shower and open cold, go back to inside shower and close hot, then go back outside and turn hot on then cold off. The key is to keep air pressure flowing through one faucet all the time and to air-out each and every faucet or place where water may freeze, and not develope pressure in the lines that could blow a seal and cause a future leak. Turn off the compressor and be sure all faucets are closed. Add RV antifreeze to all P-traps and some into gray and black water tanks. Maybe a total of 4 gallons will be used, so have 5 handy.

You can Google-search for free RV-winterizing instructions on the internet, buy a thorough RV winterizing book or e-book on Amazon, or check with your RV dealer. The internet and book has info on other things to winterize (batteries, hinges, etc., the RV place may have classes, and simplified devices such as a pump bypass kit, and RV Antifreeze, or check with K-Mart, Home Depot, Shopko, Target, Sears, Hardware stores, etc. Most any store, including Amazon, has RV Antifreeze in the fall which IS different from car antifreeze, ans a great selection of RV Parts; look for -50 degree formula, pink RV antifreeze.

This air-hose blow-out and the tire-stem type work the same, I have one of each, just depends on the compressor line-end you use. Both types are highly recommend and I recommend Amazon ans Prime. DO NOT ADD RV ANTIFREEZE TO THE HEATER OR EMPTY FRESH WATER TANK (waste of liquid, money, time, and it's hard to dilute and flush out in the spring); just be sure they are drained as best you can, and closed. Best to buy a pump diverter kit as it makes the process simple and saves you a lot of antifreeze. Antifreeze should be in all P-traps, shower drain, and some in both septic tanks; let a little antifreeze drain through the septic gate-valves to protect them from pockets of water. Hope this helps. What you miss can mess up RV time next year.

I think this product speaks for itself. It's the nearly the same price as the plastic blow out plugs with two major advantages. 1. It's Brass. It's going to last for a long time and your not going to break it. Your dog isn't going to chew it up either. 2. Your air hose attaches directly to it.

This is great for blowing out hose type garden sprinkler systems. Nice for blowing out hoses before winter storage. I did need to drill out the orifice larger to get more air flow..no big deal though

We have had campers since the 70's and winterizing each year was always an event. I have used adapters that you had you had to hold in place and even made some of my own creations. This is a soild brass adapter that screws on to the hose connection on the camper. It is not one of those plastic use once and throw away plastic adapters. It doesn't leak and lets your compressor hose lock on to it letting you go into the camper and open up each faucet until there is only air coming out. I think this brass adapter is well worth the money.

I bought this to blow out my sprinkler system for winter. I needed an appliance water hose to connect it to my spigot (female-female) since RV connections are reversed. The blow hole through the center is a little small and per advice of another reviewer I drilled it out. Took about 2 minutes. It may have worked fine that way for an RV, but I need to push 80 PSI to my sprinklers. I'm very happy with it. The threads are nice and sharp and it's one solid piece of metal.

Porter-Cable FN250C 1-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch 16-Gauge Finish Nailer

Porter-Cable FN250C 1-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch 16-Gauge Finish Nailer
  • Maintenance-free motor designed to deliver long life
  • Internal piston catch for consistent max power on every shot
  • Tool-free depth-of-drive adjustment with detents for proper setting of nail heads
  • Drives 16 ga. FN style finish nails from 1-inch to 2-1/2-inch length;Tool-free jam release mechanism for easy nail removal
  • Included with nailer: 1,000 16-guage 2-inch finish nails, 1/4-inch fitting, safety glasses, and carrying case

I love this nailer! I have several other P-C nailers that require a "drop of oil" each time it's used. This one is oil-less and I like that.

Very powerful and easy to use. Easy to adjust the nail head-height. I use it with a small Senco 1 Gal. Hot Dog compressor and works extremely well. I have larger compressors, but it works well with the small, quiet one.

Simple to insert and remove nails. Easy to see how many nails remain. No adjustment for different size nails. Nice Case.

I bought this FN250c as part of the 3 gun kit from Home Depot.

I followed the directions in terms of set up, use, and minding the temperature (I used it indoors).

After a quick volley of 4 nails into pine 2x4s, the trigger seal started to leak. I had shot no more than 125 nails through it. Perhaps it needs a break in period but there is no mention of it in the manual.

As of now, the tool is still functional and the leak is very minor but I worry about it getting worse.

Otherwise, I like the way it handles, it is light. I don't like the way it loads. The plastic slide grips the nails until they are halfway up the slide and you have to push them into position. It is awkward in comparison to their older 16g nailer with the metal slide which had a spring mechanism that locked back and nails were dropped in through the top.

I bought it only a few weeks ago, so I may exchange it at Home Depot and hope for better luck or return the whole unit and buy something else.

IF YOU JUST BOUGHT THE TOOL: I recommend (this is only my amateur guess of what could help) you go easy on it for the first 300 shots or so the parts will wear in. That means keep your pace down and the pressure low. This may result in better long term durability.

I've had several 16 gauge finish nailers over the years, and this is probably my favorite of all of them. It can drive a 2.5" nail through red oak with ease and never jam. Super easy to load and oil free! Functional belt clip and light weight.....great tool all around.

The nailer works exceptionally well, until the seal breaks. I use my nailer 2 3 times each year for finishing work, replacing old molding, etc... After less than a year, and on my third use, the seal was broken. I would suggest buying a higher quality product.

I have used them all and this one lasts the best. Sinks the nail everytime. I use this every day and shoot thousands of nails as a finish carpenter. I drop it all the time and never take care of it but it just won't stop. Make sure you have enough air preasure, I run more than whats stated but it works for me.

3/8" Female Thread Tube Connector Air Compressor Check Valve Gold Tone

3/8' Female Thread Tube Connector Air Compressor Check Valve Gold Tone
  • Product Name: Air Compressor Check Valve
  • Color: Gold Tone; Material: Metal & Brass

  • Hex Head Size: 18mm/ 11/16"; Total Size: 42 x 39 x 32mm/ 1.65" x 1.54" x 1.26" (L*W*T)
  • Package: 1 x Air Compressor Check Valve

This worked perfectly for my Central Pneumatic, model 40400, air compressor. The original check valve was made of pot metal and only lasted a few years until it actually fell to pieces. Harbor Freight was not very helpful in finding a replacement. It is great to have it working again even though I only use it a few times a month.

When I broke this piece on my Harbor Freight air compressor I thought I was going to have to buy a new compressor. I went to all the local companies that work on air compressors and they told me I was out of luck.

So I jumped out on Amazon and while I was looking for air compressors I decided to do a quick search for parts and found this. It was a great price & qualified for Prime so I thought I'd try it.

It worked perfect and my air compressor is holding pressure better than it ever has before. I highly recommend this part if you have a broken or leaky one.

My compressor check valve broke under intense heat, and I bought this item from Amazon.com, and it fit the application perfectly.

It has been a few months now, and I have been very happy with this purchase. I bought this for a 8 gallon tank a part of 2 HP compressor from Harborfreight tools that had an original cheap looking valve.
