Factory-Reconditioned Campbell Hausfeld FP209400RB 3 Gallon Oil-Free Hand Carry Horizontal Air Compr

Factory-Reconditioned Campbell Hausfeld FP209400RB 3 Gallon Oil-Free Hand Carry Horizontal Air Compressor
  • Small tank size for easy portability and storage
  • Easy to read gauges allow for easy monitoring of air pressure
  • Scoop handle makes the unit easy to carry anywhere
  • Perfect for inflation, stapling, air brushing

This compressor stopped working after I used it twice for light airbrushing. Turns out that you cannot run it on an extension cord, not even a heavy duty one. That was the first thing the manufacturer said when I called about the broken compressor. It doesn't mention anywhere in the compressor's manual that you cannot run it on an extension cord but it will void the manufacturer's warranty if you do. I also called one of the repair centers from the manufacturer's website: They recommended to buy a Maxus compressor instead. It's worth spending the extra $$.

It works great for it's size! I bought this to blow out the water from the trim on cars that I detail. It wasn't big enough to do a full car so instead of buying a much bigger one for $$$$ I went to Homedepot and got 3 10 gallon air tanks for $30 each and made a "custom" "air compressor system". Now it is awesome! One downside to my setup is that it's a 3 gallon compressor filling 33 gallons of tank...(it takes an hour). But thats ok because I can't wait for a compressor to refill so I just have one that's big enough and let it fill after I'm done.

Now the compressor itself is craaaaaaaazzzzzzyyyyy LOUD!!!! I measured it with a Db meter. It's about 110 Db which is the same as a rock concert. If you have it anywhere near where you work you will go def. My "custom" solution was I set it on the concrete floor of my garage and built a brick and mortar box around it with a sound proof foam lid 8" thick on top. I took the power supply from an old computer and the cooling fans and made a cooling system for it so it wouldn't overheat in the box. Now it's about 70 Db which is the same as a casual conversation. Nuf sed

I am sorry to say that I am very disapointed in the performance of the unit I received. It is slow and week when attempting to build up and recover psi, excessively noisy, and had pressure inconsistencies making the shortest of airbrushing strokes difficult. I have $10.99 diaphragm unit for inflating tires that outperforms this unit. If I had not become ill and been able to test the unit before return time expired, I would have requested a replacement or refund!

Item shipped from seller very fast. It is smaller than I thought it would be, which in my case is a good thing. I wanted something that could be stored in the house and moved as needed. It will primarily be used to inflate tires and toys for my nephew. It is a small compressor, so don't buy this thing thinking it will power an air ratchet or paint sprayer. It is very loud, so you may want to let it fill where it won't bother anyone or wear ear protection. Would buy again.

Legacy A73457D Color Connex Type D 7 Piece 1/4 in. Red Coupler and Plug Kit

Legacy A73457D Color Connex Type D 7 Piece 1/4 in. Red Coupler and Plug Kit
  • Industrial type D connectors in all red colors
  • Allows matching of couplers for dedicated hose applications.
  • Push connect easy connect system
  • Female and Male couplers are the same color

Solid brass is the only way to go for high use, but these are nice for air tools that aren't used too often. It is really nice that they are anodized aluminum in different colors. This set does not leak at all so far and I am happy with my purchase.

Excellent color coded connectors for use with a new Makita MAC700 big bore air compressor. A few things to know however:

1. You must also buy pipe tape (a.k.a. teflon tape, blue or yellow kind doesn't matter) 1/2" x 260" Teflon Pipe Thread Seal Tape or pipe dope to apply to the threads before sealing this to the rubber hose you're using. Otherwise you will bleed air. This is for ALL connectors not just Legacy Connex. Funny how few connector reviews mention this.

2. The Legacy Connex couplers use a much larger wrench size than the plugs. I actually didn't have a big enough wrench to use on the couplers so I ended up having to use a vise grip with terry cloth towels to minimize scuffing of the metal. Not a deal breaker just didn't have it in my standard metric wrench set.

Convenience of the quick connects make this a must have for swapping out air tools quickly. the red paint is so pretty that you'll end up being super gentle with the hose to minimize scratches (i.e. no careless dropping of an unattached hose on the garage floor with these on).

Would definitely buy these again.

Having just bought an air compressor (Makita MAC2400 Big Bore 2.5 HP Air Compressor), and some air tools, I needed some fittings.

This worked in hooking up my tubing to the compressor, and setting up a few air tools as well.

I don't need to separate air lines yet, but this seems like a good way to make it easier.

A bit more expensive than standard kits, but seems worth it.

I purchased this unit to power the Koolatron Compact Kooler, which uses 4.5 amps. I figured since this adapter is rated at 5.8 amps there should be no problem. Well there was a problem. I got no juice from the adapter at all. At first I thought it was an issue with the cooler, but I quickly ruled that out when I was able to get the cooler running while plugged into a 12V outlet in my car.

I then thought that maybe the amp rating of 5.8 was exaggerated, so I tried plugging in a standard car phone charger, which also did not work with the adapter. My conclusion ... the adapter is a dud. It seems like after reading some other reviews here, the amp rating of 5.8 may indeed be exaggerated, so I decided to go with another product (5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter).

*** UPDATE ***

The 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter worked great right out of the box. My first impression was that it was definitely much heavier than the Sunforce 55520 and it seemed to cool the fridge effortlessly. If you need an AC/DC Power Converter that will power a device upto 5 amps, skip the Sunforce and go with the 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter. You won't regret the decision.

I bought this to use with a Coleman Inflate-All Quick Pump so I could inflate bike tires and other things without having to be near a car. It did not produce enough power to even budge the pump, even though the manufacturer claims it will work with a pump or compressor.

Make sure the seller will pay for return postage if you buy this. (Northern Tool & Equipment didn't.)

I ordered this converter and the first one I received didn't work. I have another converter that runs my DC appliances just fine so I know it wasn't my appliances. I returned it and requested a replacement. The replacement didn't work either. I would order a different brand.

I purchased the AC/DC power converter for my 40" Coleman Cooler and at first I thought it didn't work because there's something like metal that shakes in it, but I think that is supposed to happened. At any rate, the converter kept my cooler hot and cool for 3 days of traveling. I enjoyed having the option to switch from cold to hot. Great product!

Amazon recommended this product for an air compressor that I was buying. It didn't work for the compressor. It would work for a lower amp'd item, but that was not why I bought it. So buyer beware of what you need this for.

Stanley Bostitch N66C-1 1-1/4-inch to 2-1/2-inch Coil Siding Nailer with Aluminum Housing

Stanley Bostitch N66C-1 1-1/4-inch to 2-1/2-inch Coil Siding Nailer with Aluminum Housing
  • 1-1/4-inch to 2-1/2-inch coil siding nailer with 500-pounds of driving power
  • Drives wire weld and plastic collated coil nails; tool-free depth adjustment; directional exhaust
  • Lightweight, durable aluminum housing
  • Includes nailer and carrying case
  • 4.4-pounds; 1-year warranty

I bought this reconditioned, and I like both the saving, and the fact that someone looked over the tool. This winter I shot 10,000 plastic colated Hitachi nails through this gun without a single misfire. The company I worked with uses the Hitachi siding nailer, thats why the nailes were hitachi. And I bought a Bostitch nailer because it was both cheaper, and watching others with the Hitachi frustrated with jambing and misfires, helped me make my choice

We use this gun for cedar siding, trim boards, and plywood sheeting for both roofs and sidewall sheeting. The gun is light, reliable, durable, and easy to repair if you do abuse it. We have replaced an aircap and a top seal (the gun took a nose dive off a 3 story victorian roof) That said we have enjoyed using it and would recommend it. Can't think of a down side so a 5 star buy. One note if your I would recommend the wire collated over the plastic collated ...we have had issues with the little plastic trails that hangs onto the nail and sticks out around the head. Wire seams to be cleaner.

I BOUGHT THIS PARTICULAR NAIL GUN FOR DOING CEDAR SHINGLE JOBS. ITS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT. VERY HELPFUL WHEN USING IT FOR 8 HRS A DAY FOR SEVERAL DAYS IN A ROW. I OWN OTHER BOSTITCH GUNS , NEVER HAVE ANY TROUBLE. PARTS ARE EASY TO GET IF NEEDED. NAILS FOR IT ARE AVILABLE ALMOST EVERYWHERE. PLUS ITS MADE IN U.S.A.

I was a little disappointed with the firing of this gun. Like another user commented... the gun should be able to strictly single fire and STOP after a nail has been fired. I used this gun for cedar tongue and groove siding installation with premium 2" stainless steel coil nails. About 5-10% of the time the gun would fire 2 nails even when I tried my hardest to allow for a single fire. In addition, for me too, some of the wire from the nail coil would be driven into the wood. Not the worst thing because ultimately when done right with tongue and groove the nail would be covered up by the overlapping siding. But still somewhat concerning when spending close to $300 on a gun.

On the bright side, the gun is light and handles well. It seems to be build very solid. Overall I have been using my DeWalt 15 gage cordless finish nailer for over a year and that gun is awesome. This Bostitch is the first air powered gun I have purchased and I was hoping for the same predictability. Unfortunately you sometimes can't predict what's going to happen when you pull the trigger and I wish this wasn't the case.

Ok...ok...ok... I had to come back and edit my review. The Bostich N66C comes with 2 triggers. One is exactly for my issues listed above. It's stricktly a single shot trigger and will not allow the gun to fire twice. It is for more precise firing when speed and coverage is not the issue. As a result my review has gone from 3 to 4 stars. It's definitely a quality product.

I bought this gun to nail on fiber cement siding. I thought it was going to set all nails flush with the surface of the siding. Frankly, I couldn't see how this would be posible since the hardness of studs varies and some nails may hit knots. Also some will miss studs and just strike OSB. I installed the single shot trigger when I got it. Well when using it the nails all vary in in depth, some shoot part way through the siding and some don't go all the way in. I sometimes get doubles. What I had to do was set the pressure low enough so that most the nails shoot close to the surface of the siding and then finish them off with a hammer. Since it's my own house I don't mind the extra time as I think it makes for a tighter lap. It would be a different story if I were applying siding for a living. I own four other Bostich guns and I believe I could get just as good of results using a 2 1/2" nail in my stick framer. However, I believe the siding warranty is void if you use a clipped head nail. I used to own a Bostich coil framer and I'll bet one of those would do just as well as the N66. On the plus side the N66 is a lightweight, well made and easy to handle gun and doesn't require a large volume of air so your compressor doesn't run as much as with a larger gun. I gave it three stars because it was called a siding nailer but mine doesn't perform any differently than my other nailers. Maybe it's just mine but I have tried varying the air pressure and the depth adjustment and have never acheived any consistancy in depth control.

12/22/09 Gun is working like it should now. I'm sorry if I misled anyone, I should have read the directions. On one of the forums someone told me I needed more air pressure. I was afraid too much pressure might damage something and they are only 2" nails so I kept the pressure at about 80 psi. Well, after listening to advice on a forum and reading the manual I upped the pressure to 105 psi and adjusted the nail depth all the way up. To my suprise when I shot them they were all consistent in depth, about a 1/4" high. Then I adjusted the depth control down until they shot at the desired depth and now they are very consistent. I'm still getting an occasional double but considering considering price, warranty and everything else I believe it's a five star now.

GMC Syclone 1610A Ultra Quiet & Oil-Free Air Compressor

GMC Syclone 1610A Ultra Quiet & Oil-Free Air Compressor
  • Ultra Quiet - Only 60 decibels - Less Noise than someone talking!
  • Oil-Free - No Maintenance - 3000 hour life cycle
  • Powerfull 1.0 Hp Rated/Running and 2.0 Hp Peak
  • 3.80 CFM @ 40 PSI & 2.35 CFM @ 90 PSI - Max 120 PSI
  • 1.6 Gallon Aluminium Tank - Lightweight 35 lbs - Rust Free

This compressor lives up to the hype. It is very quite, I can carry on a conversation when it is running. It is much quieter than our hoover vacuum. I chose the 1 HP over the 3/4 and 1/2 because I wanted a shorter run time to fill the tank. The compressor can keep up with constant nailing with a brad nailer. The smallish tank does not hold enough air for steady use of a blowgun but the 1hp motor builds pressure fast and allows for short use.

I have a larger oil-filled compressor for my shop but needed a replacement for a Senco 1/2HP, 1-gal compressor which gave great service for many years. While looking for a replacement, the reviews and videos indicated this to be very quiet, and light enough to easily carry around for small projects very true. The larger capacity made for longer intervals between run-times, and the 1HP motor shortened the run times. While not major differences, they were enough to make a change when the greatly increased CFM was figured into the equation no more waiting for the tank to re-fill. I use this for small jobs with 18-gauge brads and 23-gauge pin nails, and it also works well for cleaning refrigerator coils!. It has been a very satisfactory replacement/addition. It obviously doesn't have the capacity for major production usage; but works great if used within the design parameters.

The compressor is quiet, but the o-ring keeps going bad on the drain valve, causing me to over close the valve and then the finger nut breaks off the threaded portion of the valve.

It's really hard to describe how quiet this thing is.

If every compressor could be as quiet as this one the world would be a better place.
