1/4hp 1075RPM 5.6" Diameter 208-230 Volts Fasco # D7909

1/4hp 1075RPM 5.6' Diameter 208-230 Volts Fasco # D7909
  • 1.8 amps @ 230 Volts 60hz.
  • Shaft: 1/2" x 6 1/2" Rotation = Reversible - Bolt Circle - 5.2"
  • Belly Band Mount or Base Mount - Required 5 MFD 370V Capacitor Included
  • Motor Length Less Shaft = 4"
  • 1 Year Manufacture Warranty

I was quoted a price of almost $300 to replace my condenser fan motor. For a fraction of that price, this motor matched the specs perfectly, except that this one has ball bearings at each end to ensure even longer life. It was easy to install, I think it took me a couple of hours. I had to trim the shaft and I cut the mounting studs a little shorter. It seems to be a quality part, on par with the original or even better. Mine didn't come with any instructions, so you will need to know a little about wiring a motor. I was able to find specific information online for connecting the included capacitor, as my unit has a combined type of capacitor.

I ordered this motor to replace an OEM unit that cost over $200 without the capacitor or shipping. For about $50, I got the motor, capacitor, and shipping.

This is a 4-wire motor, so if you are replacing a 3-wire unit, you'll have to take care to wire it properly. There are pointers to be found on the Internet if you know an electrician or technician, you might ask for a little advice.

Also, the motor can be wired to run forward or reverse with a pair of jumper wires mine had to be swapped to rotate the fan properly (pulling air out of the condenser unit).

Another issue is that the studs holding the body together are very long. Once I tested operation of the motor, I removed each screw to trim about 1" so that I could move the fan blade as high as possible. The shaft is about 6" long, but I did not trim the excess from it.

Finally, the wires from the motor are only about 18" long. That may not be long enough for some applications. The motor I removed had about 3' of wires. Be sure to use accepted methods if the wires have to be lengthened.

I'm a handy guy, so the extra work to install this motor was worth the savings. If you have to hire an electrician or AC tech to install the motor, it may not save too much. This one's been installed for about a month and is working great.

Recieved quickly. I own several rental properties and bought as a standby motor. Therefore it has not been installed yet. Great price.

At the time of this review the listing details say that capacitor comes with it. Some people did not get the capacitor so immediately after making purchase I sent seller message requesting they include capacitor. They replied fast and polite and said Amazon had not informed them of change to listing details. I got motor fast and capacitor the next day as they were shipped separately (due to shipping origins being different I believe).

I was replacing a motor with a 3 prong capacitor (it is called a dual capacitor not to be confused with 2 pole as that is different aspect of capacitor) and the one that comes with this is a 2 prong. Most of the few motors that include a capacitor are a 2 prong capacitor. IF you are replacing a motor that has 3 prong (dual) capacitor with a motor that is 2 prong and the original capacitor is ok you simply leave original connected to everything except motor you are removing. Generally this will be a wire to compressor and a power wire. Then mount new capacitor and connect new motor to that one. A bad capacitor will generally look bad by having a bulge on either end of the cylinder.

Any time you replace the motor you should clean or replace the contactor. They are pretty cheap on Amazon being around ten bucks and usually you can get them same day locally for about 3 times that. Plan ahead and save some money with Amazon. For the price it is worth just getting new but in a pinch you can clean them up (meaning to clean contacts).

Bad capacitors and or contactors can be cause of fan motor failure but also many times it is simply just a bearing failure in motor too. But for less (often much less) than $30 you can replace both at same time if you order on Amazon. No I don't work for Amazon, lol. Just hope to save someone the problem of getting motor and then wishing they had ordered capacitor and contactor.

KTool was seller when I bought this motor and they are EXCELLENT. (just in case seller changes since I wrote this).

About 7 weeks later with c/a running almost every day and still quiet, smooth, and running perfect.

After reading the description and receiving the Fasco 1/4 HP motor part, a key component to make it work was not included. The 5 MFD Capacitor was not only missing but the shipping box says that it is optional and to order separatley. Amazon Description stated that it was included and never mentions ordering it separately. The product cannot work without it either. Sent an email and received a reply from CSH. CSH will be sending the part out and apologized for the inconvenience. Really thought I was going to have a hard time getting the needed piece. Kudos and Thank you.

Air Blow Gun Kit with 5 Interchangeable Nozzles

Air Blow Gun Kit with 5 Interchangeable Nozzles
  • The classic air blow gun - essential equipment for every professional and DIY workshop; 1/4" NPT
  • Blow gun with over-sized thumb trigger, PVC-coated for comfort & firm grip; convenient hang-hook
  • Includes 5 nozzles; soft rubber tip, metal tip, inflating needle, 3"-narrow & 4"-large tubes
  • Interchangeable tips increase versatility from one gun; easy-to-handle for close-in or hard-to-reach

Got what the picture shows but the gun had NO threads to screw in the attachments...useless. No response from the company to my e-mail to fix the problem. Because it was such a cheap item to begin with I won't pursue the matter BUT I will remember the company and not purchase their products in the future.

Hi All.

This item is very poorly made. As soon as I took this air-gun out of the package, the trigger on it bent. I was able to straighten it back out, but I doubt very much this item will hold up for very long, or for very little use.

The attachments on this blower are great. I like the long nozzle for cleaning out my Computers, the computers I work on and any of my old dusty electronics. I've had no issues with this item or it's durability, but I use it in a very light duty environment and not at some hard working construction site or machine shop.

I would buy this again and use it about once a week to fend off dust!

The only thing I was a little disappointed with is the smallest (thinnest) attachment is not a needle nose. But I looked at the description again and it doesn't say needle nose so I give it 5 stars. The attachments are very well made. The smallest attachment does fit (very tightly) into my soccer and basketball though. Good product.

Stanley Bostitch CPack1850BN 2-Inch Brad Nailer and Compressor Combo Kit

Stanley Bostitch CPack1850BN 2-Inch Brad Nailer and Compressor Combo Kit
  • Bostitch 2-Inch brad nailer and compressor combo kit is perfect for all of your around-the-house projects
  • The oil-free air compressor offers 2.8-cfm at 90-psi with 150 max, large 6-Gallon reserve tank, impact-resistant shroud to protect gauges, and weighs only 38-Pound
  • The brad nailer features adjustable depth guide, tool-free adjustable exhaust and no mar tip, and drives 18-gauge brads 5/8-to-2-Inch in length
  • Accessories Include 1/4-Inch by 40-Feet PVC air hose with fittings, 1000 2-Inch brads, tool lubricant, and carrying case
  • Backed by 7-year limited warranty

I needed a brad nailer and compressor in order to properly finish some home remodeling. I was putting in a lot of new baseboards and other finishing trim and a hammer and nail just doesn't cut it anymore if you want a professional look. I bought this combo pack as a refurbished item from an ebay reseller and it works like a charm. The 6 gallon tank means it has plenty of capacity...I get like 40 brads in before it cycles on, and with 2.8cfm at 90 psi, the compressor only cycles on for a few seconds every couple of minutes with the brad nailer. The nailer works great too. Now i'm shopping for a bostich framing nailer to rebuild my fence with.

I did used multiple 2.0 HP compressor prior to this for multiple projects including wood flooring and crown molding. This is first time I am using a 6.0 HP compressor and also pancake type.

Pros

1. Good for heavy duty projects projects.

2. Included brad nailer support multiple size of nails.

3. Feels and looks really sturdy.

4. Multiple people complaint on the sound level. But what I see is that a 6.0 HP motor will make that sound, if you have a low sound, go with 2.0 HP ones.

5. The hose connector is very easy and the hose come with the nailer kit is good.

6. Within 1 min after fresh start the compressor is ready to serve.

Cons

1. Size is big and eventhough this is expected, still you need to make sure you have enough space to keep it.

2. Weigh's around 40 pounds, so be sure you have enough muscle to carry around.

3. Start switch is really bad design. A switch which is pull and push. I am not sure why that design, instead of regular switch.

Overall the refurb unit came with great condition. As mentioned by many customers, CPO did not had any packing in the box, but the box is really big and strong to keep it ok during shipment. Brad Nailer and hose is brand new.

I recommend this product to home improvement passionate.

LOVE this compressor! I have had Porter Cable compressor that leaked air like crazy and was very loud. I had a Makita Big Bore compressor that stopped running after 2 weeks. Decided to go with the Bostitch as I used to have this compressor and had to sell it due to some financial problems. Recovers very fast and I can run my Hitachi full head framing nailer with no problems at all, actually, i could run 2 if I had another and someone to run with me. Holds 6 gallons and actually isn't very loud. No compressor is 100% quiet, but isn't obnoxious like the Porter Cable. I bought it new because I only buy Amazon Prime shipped products and didnt really want to go the reconditioned route, I use my compressor too much for a reconditioned unit.

I just bought this Bostitch unit (on sale at Lowes) to replace my Porter Cable unit which just failed after about two years of light home-owner use. (Air started leaking out of the cylinder head.) The Bostitch is the superior compressor. It is slightly more powerful in terms of CFM yet significantly quieter. The drain valve is a real valve that is clearly visible and requires only a quarter turn to open. The Porter Cable valve is more like a screw that requires multiple turns and is located under the unit where it is not visible and you have to feel around for it a bit of pain.

The brad nailer works great it's nice to be able to drive the longer (2") brads when you need to.

I had this compressor about a year now and there's no complaint about it. The nailer works ok but at some time i will upgrade to another Bostitch brad nailer.
