This drill has everything going for it. The fit and finish are excellent. It has very little runout, and Campbell Hausfeld didn't scrimp on the chuck; it's a Jacobs. I love the compact size and contoured grip; this drill feels like an extension of my hand. It's very good for drilling in tight places.

Here's a couple of tips...

Like most air drills, this one doesn't have variable speed, so you need to be ready when you hit the trigger.

For continuous or heavy use, It's a good idea to use an in-line or stationary oiler. And flood the drill with oil before you use it for the first time. I poured a teaspoon into the inlet as Campbell Hausfeld recommends.

The FR350 round head framing nailer has power plus. It can sink 3 1/2" nails into the hardest wood. It also has a very responsive (but not a hair) trigger. Linger too long, and it will double shoot. Like other Porter Cable products (except for the Bammer a.k.a. Bummer finish nailer), the FR350 is well built. The FR is more conventional than, and often preferable to, the FC that uses clipped head nails. The only problem is trying to find a local home improvement store that carries round head nail strips. However, they are readily available on-line and at building suppliers that cater to contractors.

Ninety percent of nail gones are not equipped with a case, which this one comes standard with along with safety glasses and oil. The magazine hold 2 strips or 72 nails. Its operating pressure ranges from 70 to 120 psi. The tool weighs in at 7.5 lbs which is actually farelly light for a framing nailer. This tool fires like a dream it is extremely low maitenance and exceptionally dependable. Ive replaced my o rings 1 time in three years of steady usage, and that is almost unheard of.

I have used the Senco nailer for years until recently it had been stolen. I decided to give the Porter Cable a try. My finish nailer & Router are both PC and I have had no problems with them and I use them both everyday. I have used the Senco & Hitachi guns and found that I like the Porter Cable best of all. The Porter Cable trigger isn't as sloppy as the Hitachi and not quite as tight as the Senco. The gun also seems to be quite lighter than both of the other guns and not as bulky as the Senco. Also another plus is that the box is not as big as the Senco box. All in all I have found that I enjoy the Porter Cable gun better than both of the other guns that I have compared with. You definitely get your money's worth with this gun and if carpentry is how you make a living like myself, you will not have to worry about going hungry ! 5 Star Gun

I read the reviews of the FR350, and they convinced me to buy the tool. I will say this at the outset, the FR350 does NOT need a large compressor. I have a "pancake" type that does quite well with it. Finding nails was a bit of a chore at first, until I went to Home Depot and told them what I needed. There they were in the nail aisle.

The tool itself feels solid, and drives nails like there's no tomorrow. I am rebuilding a basement with this and I would never have tackled the job without it.

But, and you knew there was a but, you must get the sequential trigger if you are not used to the trip firing method. I had a couple of "double taps" before I put on the new trigger. None since and replacing the trigger took all of three minutes.

This is the tool for the novice, and probably the pro. The case that comes with it holds the tool and accessories nicely.

You won't be sorry you bought this air hammer.

I started building a 10x12 foot shed about 1 month ago. At first I was using the old and arm tiring method of hammer and nail. My neighbor saw what I was doing and loaned me his Pasload framing nailer. It took about 5 milliseconds for me to realize that I was behind the times and needed to get a nailer for myself.

I'm writing this review about 2 hours after I used the Porter Cable FR 350 for the first time. Except for the loud POP of the gun firing (that's why I only gave it 4 stars), each nail I shot went in with great ease. Speaking of nails, my local Home Depot has a great selection. The manual calls for 22 degree nails but the 21 degree work just as well.

I was impressed by its light weight compared to the Pasload. It generally took me 2 hands to handle the Pasload but I was able to use the PC with one hand with great ease.

If your looking for a good nailer with an even greater price, go with the the Porter Cable FR 350.

This product does what its supposed to and fits nice and compactly in my secret trunk compartment. It takes a little longer to fill my vehicle tires but that was to be expected since it's not the heavy duty gas station pump.

It's only major fault is that it is LOUD during use so would not recommend using during late/early hours unless necessary.

I have a dewalt AC and the switch started to leak badly. I first looked for an orignal OEM replacement but it was $70+. This is close but the port orientation is 180 deg out, however this was not a problem for me as iplaned tp remove the orignal regulator assembly anyway. This will may not work (depending on you AC model) if want a direct replacement, BUT othere amazon P switches might, be carefull and check. It is also very nice to be able to adjust the cut in/out preassure ans it is very easy to do. I set my cut out at ~ 155, up from the my orignal 125. Believe it of not this makes a signifent inctease in the total cubic feet of air in your tank, which helps in those high volume needs.

I bought this air compressor at Costco and I'm not sure why the previous reviewer thought a clamp could be clipped on the air hose. It wouldn't maintain a proper seal that way under the amount of air pressure going through the hose. The Bonaire rep was correct in saying that the clamp is permanently attached to the hose. This Bonaire compressor came without a valve attachment clamp (the thing that connects the hose to your tire). I called Bonaire and they were very UN-helpful, saying I could NOT have purchased this from Amazon and that they only sell this to Target stores.

So, I ask -can I just purchase a replacement valve attachment? "NO," she says, "that part comes permanently attached to the hose." I could clearly see that this thing just clipped on, but this person just plain refused to check or help in any way. With a real bad attitude.

This seems like it might be a decent air compressor, at a reasonable price, but I think the Bonaire Customer Service is non-existent. And reflects on the product as well.

Where has this puppy been all my life?!

I already had two 18v batteries so I didn't need the whole kit, so this worked out perfectly.

I bought the brads from the local hardware so I could inspect them I'm buying this to make my life easier and collecting a bunch of brads that came apart in shipping is not my idea of easier.

This thing... man I'm kicking myself for not buying it sooner. I had it in my head that this was just a novelty/nice to have item but I can do fine without it for the cost. Was I wrong. I can't express how much easier and faster this is, and leaves a much smaller hole. I've used it on trim (baseboard, casing, etc.) and even to face nail some HARD, thick flooring that I had to replace. Punches through with no problem and you don't have to worry about having room to swing a hammer, or use a countersink, splitting, etc. Hold it up, POP, done.

I haven't tried the sequential firing setting yet so I can't comment on it.

What I can say is hold on to this thing, otherwise the brads won't sink properly. In fact, if the nailing surface or the nail gun are not secure when firing the nail won't penetrate properly (may be less of an issue with soft wood). Do some testing before hand to get a good feel for it and to get the depth set right, especially if you're doing something like flooring where you really want it right the first shot. I assume this is the same for any brad nailer, but this is my first so just throwin' it out there for anyone else in the same situation.

Just received my 18V-18 Gauge brad nailer and fired some test nails. What a tool! I've been using the 16 gauge finish nailer for a number of years and love it, too. When I first used the 16 Gauge gun, I called DeWalt to see if they planned an 18 gauge brad nailer and was told it was not in their plans, so I went with the Paslode gas fired gun.

The Paslode isn't a bad gun, but over the years I've had it repaired a number of times, and it's rather finicky about firing every time. It seems like it never fires the first time when you are in an awkward position holding precision pieces just so. The other issue with the Paslode is keeping fresh gas. They tell you to store in a cool place, which is impossible when your tools go with you everywhere and are continuously baked in the Florida sun.

This DeWalt brad nailer has none of those issues. It's a great tool, makes very little noise, and sets nails perfectly according to the variable depth dial. If you do finish carpentry for a living, don't leave home without it. At first look, it will seem rather large, but I can get it in any place that I used to get with my Paslode, or my old Bostitch air gun.

I use the whole line of 18V DeWalt tools (circular saw, jig saw, vacuum, impact driver, hammer drill, cutoff tool, 16G finish nailer)every day, so I invested in the Lithium Ion batteries. The Lithiums are far superior to the XRP batteries in charge time, operating time and longevity, so while I'm offering opinions, I highly recommend them as well.

With this unit, like its big brother the cordless Finish nailer, I don't have the hassle of loading up a compressor and hoses to do a small job. Production use? Not sure. If you wanted to put trim on a bookcase, shelving, etc. this is the unit. A bit bulky compared to pneumatic nailers, but hey, trade off seems worth it. Haven't gotten in to heavy or prolonged use so my review may change if I encounter problems in the future. Home craftsman? Buy it. Light maintenance/furniture refinishing? This will work nicely.

I think my title says it all.

I have owned the Dewalt nailer for 5-6 months now. I have remodeled our entire second floor including two bathrooms, 3 bedrooms all with base and crown molding and one room with chair molding, using this tool. I opt'd for the upgrade to the lithium ion batteries,(I got the drill driver/impact wrench set)and I love the longevity. I only have two batteries, but with charge times less than 1 hour per, and run times that far exceed that, I have never been without (even using the driver and nailer together).

The only down side to this tool is how silly you will feel for not buying it sooner. Seriously one if my favorite tools ever. I have owned a Bostich and Rigid nailer (corded to compressor) and I will never go back to dragging around a compessor. This tool uses NO cartidges, so you will save big $$ vs most competitors cordless CO2 models.

I have now lent my nailer to two friends, both of whom have gone out and bought one shortly after using mine. I can't say enough good things. I can't believe big box retailers don't carry this product. Congrats to Amazon for scooping up all the sales. This should be in any DIYers aresenal if quaility finishings are important to you.
