Works very well, just as advertised. I wish it could be set to blow off a bit less often. 45 minutes is the shortest intervals you can set it. That's probably good for a commercial operation, but if my 80 gallon blew of every 1 1/2 to 2 hours, I'm sure it would be fine. I've only had it hooked up for a week, but so far so good.

Since I never seem to remember to drain the air compressor tank, this product looked like the answer. Out of the box it was obviously very well made and was also easy to install with the addition of a 3/4" to 1/2" NPT reducer. I have it set for a 2 second burst every 30 minutes and it appears to be working well but I may have to reset it in the summer when the air is more humid. Overall great a great product for a fair price.

If you have a compressor that you use regularly and keep full you need one of these. Solidly built and simple to install. You supply the pipe and fittings to go from the compressor to this drain. Meaning you might need a section of pipe to go from your drain valve to this drain. Typically drains are 1/4" NPT and this unit has 1/4 inch female NPT on both sides and 1/2 inch NPT. Connect this to a drain line that runs outside or into a floor drain. You can slip a piece of garden hose over the one end and put a hose clamp on it to accomplish this. The black control box can also swivel to be turned to face a different direction. The directions are not great but if you can handle basic plumbing and have some pipe tape you'll do fine. The longest cycle time built in is 15 minutes, and you can adjust how long the valve stays open as well up to about 5 seconds. I put it on an outlet timer. So it only cycles about every 12 hours. As soon as you plug it in it cycles. So just put a plug in timer on the outlet to kick on for a few minutes how ever many times a day you want. Mine drains twice a day and that takes care of it just fine. If it's just a home weekend shop you could probably set it to drain just a couple times on weekends with the right timer. It does have a three prong plug so get the right timer if you do this. You can also still manually drain the tank and this valve also works like cleaner for the small screen strainer that prevents rust and sediment from in the tank from getting into the valve.

I just received and installed this valve on an 80gal, vertical tank compressor. It appears to be very well made, all brass and stainless steel valve materials. Of course the electronics are in plastic, but every thing seems very sturdy. This valve is an excellent value for the price, most automatic drain valves cost much more. I had been wanting to add an auto drain to my compressor for some time, but didn't because of the prices. When I found this on Amazon I was skeptical of the quality because of the low price. After receiving it and seeing how well it is made, I am very pleased. Since I just installed it, I can't report on how well it holds up, but I can see no reason it wouldn't.

This unit is much more quiet than a Whytner I had that leaked all over. It is also cools much better and does not leak. I would give this product a 5 star rating but for the window vent kit. First, it will extend to about 49 inches but there are 4 sections that you must use. This makes the panel very flimsy. Three sections are more than adequate. That was the only good part about the Whytner in comparison. Second, either the vent tube should have been made with a diameter 1/2 inch less or the vent kit panel should have been made 1/2 inch wider. When you attach the hose to the panel you have to move the panel away from the inside of the window for it to fit because the tube does not clear the inside of the window frame. Use a lot of duct tape. I hope this made sense.

Used less than one year and it worked great last summer,then carefully rolled into a spare bedroom for winter storage. BUT just like other reviewer, set it up for this summer and no cool air at all! Called LG and a week later repairman came out to tell me it has internal leak and not repairable! Lucky for me, my warantee had two more weeks. LG service contacted me within a day and will give refund after I return unit to them. They do not have one in stock to send replacement. Service good but product is junk.

do not buy this. i had mine for less then a year. i used it for 1 summer and it worked great and next summer the compressor is shot.it dont blow cold air and makes so much noise that you would think there is a truck running in the room. and as for the lg repair service that is junk too. the repair man said it was fine meanwhile it was blowing warm air and leaking all over the floor and sounds like a truck. now the warranty is out and out on the curb it is going

LG may may decent products, but heaven forbid you should need to get service. I have a relatively new (still under warranty) room A/C which has stopped cooling. After almost an hour on the phone with a tech who could barely speak English, he referred me to the (only) service center in the area, which is closed for the next 10 days (6/28 to 7/8). So beware that the service network for LG is paper thin compared to most established appliance man'f in the US, and should you need service be prepared to be without your product for weeks. Really great if you need an A/C fixed in the summer.

I received this last year (2011), purchased from Home Depot and used it for a full month and half until a part broke down and the unit stopped blowing cool air. LG honored the warranty as the replacement part was backordered and they sent me a new unit. Since the process took so long, I received the new unit in the winter, hence no real use.

Summer of 2012, begin using the new replacement unit. Works great for one month. Then the same issue...cooling part breaks and is on back order. LG granted me a warranty extension, but now the replacement part is still on back order after 1.5 months and LG wants me to wait for the part or have the third-party company verify they contacted LG for the part. LG will not do this themselves (they are the ones that recommended the third-party company to fix unit) and I'm playing phone tag. Third-party company servicing the unit says they received the incorrect part and needs to wait another 3-4 weeks. LG says to find out with the third-party company the order number and let them know the details and they will determine what to do from there. An here, it looks like I won't have it back for use again until this fall.

This is NOT reliable. Both the original unit and replacement unit had the same main cooling component fail after 1-2 months of use. Now i'm without a room AC unit and out $500.

DO NOT BUY.

UPDATE: I'd like to give this ZERO stars, but it's not avail. I tried posting this same review on the LG website and it got rejected. Surprise surprise. No wonder the reviews on the LG website have this product rated at 4/5 stars when here on Amazon it's 1-2 stars.

I purchased the MIIIFS stapler to lay approximately 1,700 sq. ft. of 3/4 inch red oak flooring in my new home. After installing well over 1,400 sq. ft. here are some of my observations:

1) The tool makes it very easy for a novice to put down a nice, tight hardwood floor. If the boards are laying tight an easy swing of the mallet is all it takes to fully seat a staple (more on this later). If the board is warped the MIIIFS can stand up to a solid mallet smack without any trouble. The mallet's plastic face, by the way, does not show any signs of cracking so far.

2) The stapler efficiently uses the its air so you do not need a big compressor. I have been using a 1.5 hp unit with a 6 gallon tank. Output is set at 85 psi. I doubt such a small compressor could supply two nailers simultaneously, but it handles one quite nicely.

3) The stapler did develop a small air leak near the top shortly after I began using it. The amount of leaking is small (based on psi drop at the compressor) but does make a distracting noise. This leak does not affect the function or reliability.

4) At your starting wall you need to face nail the flooring until you get about 6 inches from the wall. After that you'll have enough room to get the stapler into position.

5) As you approach the far wall the stapler can be used up to the last 13 or 14 inches.

6) As mentioned earlier the tool only requires an easy mallet smack. However, if you don't swing firmly enough the staple will not seat fully. This is usually caused by crowding against the far wall and not having enough room to swing the mallet.

7) The firing knob is too stiff to actuate by hand reliably the mallet is required. It would have been nice if there was a way to trigger the stapler by hand then you could use it much closer to the far wall.

8) I have not had any problems with jamming. The unit I've been using has reliably shot every staple right down to the very last one in the magazine.

9) I have heard some rumors of staple-style flooring nailers damaging the floor's tongue. After closely examining several hundred staples in oak I'd say that about 2 or 3 percent show any signs of tongue damage. Some of this infrequent damage is due to stapling through a knot or due to handling. Some is due to the MIIIFS. I'm not sure how this compares to nail-style nailers. Anytime you send a fastener through kiln dried hardwood you're bound to have some occassional splitting.

Would I buy the MIIIFS again? You bet I would. Despite its few minor shortcomings this tool has saved me a LOT of work and the price is lower than other pnuematic nailers that I've looked at.

As a professional building contractor I have tried several flooring tools, and can easily state that this is the best fastening system I have experienced for both unfinished and prefinished flooring. The staples hold better than cleat nails, and result in far less tongue splits as well. Surface marring and excessive tongue splitting are caused by improper or inexperienced operation of the tool, not by the tool itself.

I run a hardwood flooring company in Wyoming and have 3 of these units running all the time...They are durable and very dependable...we have been experiencing problems with the nuts and bolts holding the bottom plate on. Several of these bolts are in hard to reach areas and come loose and fall out several times a day. I would recommend this item to anyone, but I also would recommend that you buy a bottle of LockTite at the same time, And go through and LockTite all of the bolts, Other than that this is a awesome unit, We have one that is one of the very first air assist bostich nailers and it is still running strong. I purchased this nailer from Amazon to lay 3/4" hardwood flooring in several rooms in my house. I have since fired about 5000 staples through it without any problems whatsoever. This stapler is very well designed ergonomically and mechanically. The mallet is big and somewhat massive in weight but there is a purpose in that. It takes very little effort and just a slight tap to drive a staple because it is pneumatic. So if a board lays nice and straight, then a slight tap will suffice, but if you have a somewhat uncooperative piece of flooring, then you will appreciate the heft of the mallet because it will cause the most finicky of boards to come together and lay tightly. The handle is long and fits well in your hand. Consequently your not bent over as much. My first floor laid was oak and I've started my second which is brazillian cherry. This wood is extremely heavy and dense. This stapler does not care how hard the wood is, it just works and flawlessly at that. After all isn't that what you want from a tool, flawless performance!
