This unit quit after one battery charge(mechanical sounds, then nothing). I sent it in for warranty coverage and the person on the phone asked another person whether they still warranted them. They had me send it in at my expense, and after 9 days I called them for a status. They said they had the unit but had not looked at it yet. That was 6 days ago...the saga continues. i would love to just get my money back.I have used this little compressor for about three weeks now and it has performed very well indeed! I love that it's lightweight and battery operated, makes it very portable. We also have a larger compressor (6 gallon?) that my husband uses for big projects, but this compressor is much better suited for small jobs. So far with this compressor we have re-upholstered our dining room chairs, installed trim around the new laminate floor in the small kitchen, and repaired our wood fence.Pros:
*Works with other nailers we used a Bostitch nailer-stapler and borrowed a friend's Hitachi finish nailer.
*Battery operated and lightweight
*Quiet compared to our bigger compressor
*Recharger has a red and green light to tell you when battery is charged
*Includes two batteries I use one while recharging the other
Cons:
*Wait between shots of a couple seconds for the compressor to build up pressure. (Not a big deal though, you just can't use it for a big job.)
*Won't replace our big compressor because of limited number of shots per battery charge
The battery lasted long enough for each of my projects. The compressor performs as advertised and I will definitely consider this for a couple people on my gift list.

This compressor works great! I need it for small jobs around the house, and it's a much better alternative to having to drag the big compressor around just to tack on a few nails at a time. The battery has so far lasted through building two simple workshop shelves and tacking on some light wood rails to a bookshelf. It's not that slow either. I can make a shot per second (I'm new at woodworking), and it's kept up with me just fine.Highly recommended for light jobs and smaller nails (I've only used it with 1.5", 18-gauge nails so far).I like this unit. It's lightweight, in several senses. I got several batteries, and I keep recycling them through the charger when working for long stretches. The brad nailer is a very precise unit, no jams so far. The compressor broke after a week, but customer service was superb, very happy on that score. Nailed up a cedar closet, made a few picture frames. I'm keeping it! There's also a version that's a little cheaper, without the battery feature. That one would be a more suitable comparison to the units that tether you to a huge, rolling compressor. By the way the Palmgren is relatively quiet when its compressor kicks in.

its fairly light weight and very powerful. so far, i've used it for trim, wood siding, crown moulding and a wood ceiling. the brad nailer jammed on me once so far. other than that it worked nicely.Took a chance on a reconditioned item and the finish nailer I received with this set never worked at all from day one.I called Bostitch and they sent me to a local repair shop. The guy could tell it was brand new so he had no issues fixing it for me for free. 3 weeks later I have my reconditioned reconditioned Finish nailer and all is well. Tank is light and portable with soft feet o as not to mar the flooring. The hose is the lightweight plastic one, but that is fine for my trim work around the house. I would recommend Bostitch again.

I was delighted with this purchase. I had committed to saving money by going with a factory re-conditioned product and was thrilled that it appeared to be like new with no sign of any blemishes, and It works like a charm.I really like it. I have had zero problems with guns. The regulator on the compressor is a little finicky, and difficult to get set to a particular pressure. Other than that, it is great!Saturday, July 27, 2013
AIR SAND BLASTER KIT - AIR TOOLS
- Comes with three 1/4" Nozzles
- 13/64" Air Jet
- Key wrench
- 10 ft. hose & pick-up tool
I figured out what must be the only way to use this product attach your air compressor to the gun, and run the black tubing to the inlet valve on the bottom of the gun barrel. Then, attach the other end of the hose to the metal pipe, and stick the pipe into your sand. When you squeeze the trigger, the valve on the gun barrel should siphon out sand into the barrel, where the air output causes the sanblast effect. Seems simple, but just plain doesn't work. The hose would not siphon any sand. It would trickle about 1/3 of the way up and then stop. I was able to get sand to come out by putting my bucket of sand on top of a ladder, and holding the gun below it and upside down, to use gravity to pull the sand into the gun, but even then, the effort was hardly worth the meager output.
I have a professional DeWalt 300 PSI 5 gallon air compressor, and I turned the regulated pressure all the way up to 250, so that should be more than sufficient, but there was not enough suction to pull up the sand. Air leaks out of the gun through the handle. Also, once I was able to get it working, the gun would lose pressure from my compressor after about 7-8 seconds. So then I would have to sit and wait for the compressor to fill up again (again, I have a large 5 gallon tank).
This is one of the worst products I have ever bought, simply because it did not work at all and was completely useless to me.
EDIT 10/9/09 According to a commenter, you may need to adjust the plastic tubing to suck up air in addition to the sand to get this to work correctly. I'll stick with the 1 star review for now, since it should have come with better instructions if that is the case.

The picture clearly shows a blaster handle with four ceramic nozzles. What arrived had four steel nozzles, which are inferior they wear out quickly and cost less than ceramic. That's pretty deceptive.
I bought this primarily to get the nozzle holder this entire kit cost less than buying just the one piece, so I gave it two stars instead of one because that piece was fine.
Also, the black hose in the kit absolutely reeks of mothballs(?). I opened the box and then had to get it out of the house. It sounds weird but you really couldn't store this in the basement.
In any case, if the seller is shipping metal in place of steel you can do better on the price, so look elsewhere.

There were no instructions with the kit and no way of getting the information. The Kit requires almost double the pressure that was listed in sales.
I would suggest this unit be used by hobby people for a part time use. Thanks Kay

Ingersoll-Rand 2141 3/4-Inch Ultra Duty Air Impact Wrench
- Twin hammer plus mechanism for 30 percent greater durability
- Contoured professional touch trigger and ergonomically designed handle for increased comfort
- Provides 1200 feet-per-pound maximum torque
- Weighs just 7 pounds
- Only 8.2 inches long
I use this to pull off lugs on heavy tractors and trailers, both inboard and outboard type wheels. While it may be a tight squeeze on some wheels because it lacks the two to six inch extension of the large guns, it does manage to fit in and get on the lugs. Also, I find that the 3/4 sockets are easier to find and cheaper than 1 inch. Although I do maintain a full range of the 1 inch sockets anyhow (Hey, I already own them)
I had one occasion where a lug just wouldn't move so I saved it for last, let the compressor fill up, tried again and it still didn't come off. A moment later I realize I had the gun on the lowest setting. Changed the setting and Blaaappp, the lug was off. So the gun was removing lugs at the lowest setting. These are heavy lugs that are usually put on at the highest setting, so the 2141 removed 9 out of 10 at the lowest setting.
Additionally, because of the small format, the gun fits where that larger gun wont. I have used it in engine cavities where you cant fit a breaker bar as well.
I would recommend buying this gun as a mainstay for most heavy stuff and buy the cheap 1" gun for $100 as a backup if at all

This thing is strong. 1200 ft lb of torque compared to the 261 model with 1100. The 261 is mega heavy compared to this one too.Keep in mind, standard shop air hoses are only 1/4", and really don't provide the cfm needed to run this tool. If that's what you have to use, you can hit it for a few seconds, let the hose fill back up, hit it again, or spring for a fatter hose. Their website recommends 1/2".
I paid about 380 for mine, now looks like the best deal amazon has is 390, compared to 388 for the 261. I recall getting the 261 for 325 about 10 years ago.

This is a great product. It is light weight, solidly built, and has plenty of power.Want Ingersoll-Rand 2141 3/4-Inch Ultra Duty Air Impact Wrench Discount?
I bought the impact wrent to replace an 10 year old ingersoll impact that was just worn out. I put it through the paces of a very tough undercarriage rebuild of a JD 330LC excavator and it did not even come close to letting me down. The power is immense and could not ask for user friendly operation. The noise level is not deffening by anymeans. I would recomend it to anyone who is in need to a great strong 3/4 inch drive impact gun.If you want a lightweight, kick-butt impact gun for heavy duty work, this is it. I've tried more than a few, this beats a lot of 1" guns as far as power goes. It's small enough to fit in limited spaces, and with a 1/2" hose, is strong enough for tough truck work. I use mine daily on dual wheel trucks and buses and have had no problems with it since I've owned it. I got a great price and saved alot of $! Its light weight certainly makes it very manageable so it won't wear you out. Highly recommended!
