Ampro AR3710 Air Grease Gun

Ampro AR3710 Air Grease Gun
  • Lubrication for automotive and industrial work
  • 3-way grease loading: cartridge, filler pump and bulk
  • Air vent valve releases trapped air pockets
  • Delivers 1200-6000 PSI at nozzle to penetrate the most stubborn grease fitting

I set the gun up with a cartridge according to directions to bleed off air blockage and it worked perfect. I had bought a cheaper gun and could never get it to work. This was definitely worth the price for me.

CoolBot Walk-In Cooler Controller for window air conditioner

CoolBot Walk-In Cooler Controller for window air conditioner

Like Most intelligent farmers necessity and budget are always in play. The need for a commercially available refrigeration unit is part of all farms cool down and storage requirements, yet the availability of affordable

equipment to small farms does not exist, unless it is taken back to the purest form of design and function.

What Ron has done here is recognized that the limits imposed by residential A/C unit manufactures, specifically the

restriction of low temperatures by thermostatic control, can be manipulated. In designing the Cool-Bot he did several things;

1. energy conservation, large commercial units are power hogs, typically three phase 400-600 amps, and they are an antiquated, inefficient method of cooling, specifically taking copious volumes of cold air and moving it into a space that is usually poorly designed and has huge air leaks, the net result is waste, both in terms of energy, and product stored as air mass on leafy greens desiccates and wilts foliage, so unless your stored product is potatoes, you want coiling without excessive moisture robbing air mass. Cool-Bot delivers through your Energy Star unit, cold air without damaging the crop, and saves big money in energy costs, and efficiency.

2. Back up, when your space requires multiple units to achieve the desired level of cooling needed, you simply run more window units, again the often overlooked benefit here is the built in back up. If your commercial unit goes down, your product temps go up and spoil. The repair cost is high, and you still have one unit. With multiple Cool-Bots, you have an emergency back up in place, if a unit went down, the others can maintain temps for that period while you replaced that A/C unit, and since it has not been modified whatsoever, it is under a factory warranty. Now you have continued cooling during the repair or change out, something not offered by commercial refrigeration, with them your down, and your out.

3. Seasonal change. During cooler periods of the year with a multiple unit cooler you have the option of shutting down several of the A/C units for additional energy savings, with the big units, its on or off. So it is time to ask yourself, who brings the best things to life? not just those guys, but us farmers, we feed you, and increase your health with safe local foods, and design and build products that are frugal, and efficient. The highest praise a farmer or designer can receive is from his peers, and I highly recommend Cool-Bot to anyone, for a multitude of purposes. It is the only intelligent choice for efficient energy conscious cooling, and the only choice for 3 Boys Farm, a 365, 24/7 large grower of hydroponic and organic produce. Way to go Ron!

Robert@ Three Boys Farms gives a good overview on the Coolbot. I use the coolbot in my coolroom to keep grapes around 39 degrees F. before I crush. What I have to offer in terms of a review is a demystification of the product for any potential user that would like to know exactly how it works. To begin, it doesn't 'turbo-charge' your air-conditioner. This is largely hyperbole. There is definitely no magic involved.

The Coolbot consists of three probes, a thermometer, a temperature probe, and a heater probe all leading back into a single well sealed package. Here is how it works. After removing the grill from the AC unit you will locate the thermostatic sensor which is affixed to the cooling fins of the AC unit. This temperature sensor is naturally responsible for cycling the AC unit on and off. You will now take the AC's temperature probe and place it in contact with (secure beside) the Coolbot heater probe. The second probe on the Coolbot is a temperature sensor which is placed in the fins of the AC unit approximately where you removed the AC temp. probe.

The heater probe on the Coolbot is in direct contact with the AC's thermostat. The Coolbot heater probe simply heats up the AC's thermostat thereby causing the AC unit to sense a warmer temperature than what actually exists in the cool room. The second probe of the coolbot monitors the temperature of the AC fins so that the Unit doesn't ice up. Ron has taken an extremely simple concept, one that isn't wholly original and created an excellent, dependable, durable and vastly overpriced product that will do exactly what it warrants. I am very pleased with its performance.

I have had a Coolbot in place about a month now. I am extremely pleased with its performance...It keeps my 6'X 9' walk in cooler at an average temperature of 38 F. Great product and a great savings (about 1/6th the cost) over installing a 2 part commercial refridgeration unit

Thanks Ron...nice unit...keep up the good work.

Want CoolBot Walk-In Cooler Controller for window air conditioner Discount?

We purchased the Coolbot controller in July 2012. Have been very satisfied with it so far. We have been using it with a LG 15000 BTU air conditioner, in a 18'x7' cool room. We use it at 47°f, for flowers. We had been getting estimates for having standard refrigeration installed. The estimates started at $3000.00+ for a used system. I purchased the Coolbot controller and a new LG air conditioner for under $800.00. It was worth every penny. You save not only in equipment costs and installation costs, but also on your electricity bill. Just follow the Coolbot instructions about installation, and insulation, and you cannot go wrong.

TEKTON 4583 In-Line Air Filter

TEKTON 4583 In-Line Air Filter
  • Traps and Removes Harmful Water Vapor and Debris Particles from Compressed Air Supply
  • Metal Outer Shield Protects Internal Filter Unit
  • Easy-Clean Filter with Brass Drain Valve
  • Delivers Clean Air Supply to Maximize Tool Performance
  • Protects Hoses, Tools, and Accessories from Excessive Wear and Damage

Like the other reviewer mentioned, the threads are non-standard. I wasted time and money trying multiple options to get a 3/8" fitting to work, NPT or flanged, doesn't matter.

Cheapo steel filter bowl protector is hard to attach and remove. I regret throwing away the packaging or it would send it back in a heartbeat (unused).

I wish I could rate it "zero" stars. One is way too many

Probably the worst purchase I've made on Amazon. The threads are terrible so it took a while to get it sealed even using brass couplings and Teflon tape. After a few uses the unit started leaking from where the plastic cup seals onto the housing so I'm now looking for a replacement.

Senco PC0947/FP18KIT 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Compressor Combo Kit

Senco PC0947/FP18KIT 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Compressor Combo Kit
  • 18-gauge brad nailer and 1-gallon compressor combo kit
  • Nailer: adjustable depth of drive, rear exhaust, easy-open latch, no-mar pad, low-load-indicator
  • Compressor: 1 gallon; aluminum cylinder with steel sleeve; 20-pounds
  • Includes nailer, 1/4-inch -by-25-foot hose, safety glasses, fittings, oil, 1,200 brad nails, wrenches, and manuals
  • 1-year warranty on nailer; 90-day warranty on compressor

My wife purchased this combo package for me for my birthday this year (well, more like I bought it and thanked her for it). I have to say, I am impressed.

THE BRAD NAILER:

The gun is lightweight and small enough to get into tight spots, yet it appears to be very well built. The protective no-mar pad does not scratch prefinished moulding, and the side load magazine is convenient and easy to use. I shot about 200 2" brads while installing new 1/2" baseboards and 3/4" birch door trim in my bedroom. Every brad was countersunk to perfect depth, and I did not get a single jam. I ended up with very professional results and finished in 1/2 the time it would have taken me with the old hammer and finish nails.

THE COMPRESSOR:

The PC1010 will change the industry. For homeowners, hobby woodworkers, and customer service professionals in the cabinetry industry this is the perfect compressor. There is no need to lug around a 4 or 6 gallon compressor for a little brad nailer. You can easily carry the nailer, hose, and bread box sized compressor in one hand. From startup, this quiet, lightweight little workhorse takes about 2 minutes to pump up to 110 psi. I consistently got 10 shots before kick in, then another 40 seconds or so to recover. I nailed right through the recovery time, and never had to wait for the compressor to before driving any brads.

SHORTFALLS:

It is very difficult for me to find anything that I don't like about this one. However, rumor has it that Senco guns work best with Senco brads, and the local home improvement stores sell mostly PC and Bostich... so I will need to find another source. I would not recommend the PC1010 for anyone who wants to drive anything larger than 18ga brads, or run multiple air tools from a single compressor. Also the compressor is so new that Senco has very limited literature on it, but I would be willing to bet they will get this taken care of soon.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Some of the best customer service I have had the pleasure to work with. If you purchased from an authorized dealer, and you have any problems with your equipment, I recommend calling Senco directly.

Buy Senco PC0947/FP18KIT 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Compressor Combo Kit Now

I got this package for very light duty use woodworking shop projects and qtr-round molding on flooring. The nailer is a quality tool that sells for $120 everywhere so that makes the compressor only $75. I had a $15 coupon so the compressor was only $60 for me.

The compressor is so light that it is no problem carrying it. The tank pressure is 125 lbs and I set the tank outlet pressure to 90 lbs. It shoots about 10 brads before it cycles but you can keep shooting as it runs. I used 5/8" brads on molding on a shop project and 2" brads on floor qtr-round without a single problem. This sure saves time and doesn't mar the wood. It is pretty quiet and also looks good. Getting to small jobs and using this little tool is a pleasure. I will get an air blower tip for it; so far I'm satisfied.

I agree with the other reviewers who have given praise to this product. I felt the same way till mine broke after less than a months use.

Of course it was the compressor which broke, the part with the 90 day warranty. I did not catch that when I bought this.

Senco is a good company, but I think this little compressor is not quite up to the quality of their other products.

In my case it was the 1/4" copper tubing which brings the air to the tank that failed. It split where the tubing had been bent.

I have fixed it with some liquid steel, since I'm on a job with it, I'm hoping the repair lasts till I have time to replace to tubing.

I have used this to build two large bookcase and cabinet projects so far, and in doing so I have learned the compressors limitations. It does not do well

shooting two inch nails into MDF. It does not have the power to fully sink the nail into the material. I bought this combo for the light weight

of the compressor, so I guess there must be some compromises. This won't take the place of more powerful compressors,

but it is great for carrying to and from a job. I just hope I do not have problems with it in the future. I'm not sure I would

recommend this product, the 90 day warranty on the compressor is a big negative. especially since it seems to have some problems.

Want Senco PC0947/FP18KIT 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Compressor Combo Kit Discount?

I upgraded to this from a cheap little electric brad nailer that could not sink a 1" brad. This tool is light and has plenty of power. The compressor is small & quiet and has absolutely no problem keeping up with the nailer. I own an old 5 horse 220 v compressor but wanted something to use inside the house without running hundreds of feet of hose from the garage. This will fill my needs perfectly.

P.S. I shop online alot and would like to say that Amazon.com has the best customer service of any company I have dealt with.

I own several portable compressors, but hate to lug them around. So, I bought this one for installations of wood mantels and little odd and ends work (like attaching a piece of trim after the rest of the job is already done). The little compressor is lightweight and perfect for small jobs like these. On bigger jobs I still use one of my heavy duty compressors. So, that may be the problem some of the other reviewers are having. It's just not built for heavy duty work.

The gun on the other had was a disappointment. I already had a Senco XP 25 and prefer it. Still, it's a pretty good price for both pieces, so, no real complaints here. I've just set the newer one aside, for now.

Regarding the cheap 1/4 inch hose... pleeeease. Anyone with half a brain knows it's a cheap piece of krap, but will work fine for the occasional hobbiest. If you want a good hose, buy one.

Stanley Bostitch PRO-3850 Prozhoze 3/8 Inch x 50 Feet

Stanley Bostitch PRO-3850 Prozhoze 3/8 Inch x 50 Feet
  • 3/8" x 50' Polyurethane
  • Flexible from 180° to -40° F
  • Ribbed design for longer life and maximum hose lubricity for maneuverability around the job site
  • 1/4" MPT fittings for maximum compatibility
  • Snap fit strain relief provides flexible reinforcement

Not a great deal to say about this apart from polyeurethane hose seems to be the way to go and 3/8" dis gives marginally more air volume over 1/4" (38ci to be precise). The low temp flexibility is very impressive. Would definitely buy again to run multiple tools

Buy Stanley Bostitch PRO-3850 Prozhoze 3/8 Inch x 50 Feet Now

It does not specify at all in the description but this hose is made in the USA. There are a number of Polyurethane hoses out there for about the same cost but many are made overseas. I always look for quality products made domestically. Now for the product. It is indeed lightweight. I doubt it would be noticable if you were on a scaffold and had the entire 50' of hose hanging down. It is simply that light. For those of you who are using rubber hoses, the difference is dramatic. The fact that it can be repaired on a job site in a flash is just a bonus. They sell the repair kits at Amazon too and if you are like me and have trouble finding Bostitch products locally, I suggest buying a couple kits to have on hand and hope you don't need to use them. The hose ends are reinforced and are decent quality. Although the hose is yellow, it is translucent and you can easily see through and see if there is condensate or debris in the line which could cause damage down the line. I just may buy a second hose for more reach or get a Goodyear rubber hose (GoodYear 045 3/8-Inch x 50 Safety Yellow Rubber Hose 3/8 -Inch by 50-Feet 250 PSI With 1/4-Inch Ends)

for the 1st 50' and save a few $. It is on Amazon for $19.99 and is also made in the USA. I would rather have two 50' hoses than a 100' line as there are certainly times when I would not need a 100' and would only use one hose.

After I ordered this I realized no where was it mentioned to what psi rating it was certified to be... I needed at least 250 psi hose so I tried to cancel the order but it was too late as it was shipped. So I figured I would return it upon arrival (luv amazon returns, sooo easy). Well it showed up promptly and as I looked at it closely I saw 300 psi imprinted on the hose every 12-18 inches. The packaging had no rating what so ever however. Overall I am SUPER pleased with this hose and price. Light weight & flexible no matter the temp, AWESOME!!
