I used this pump to fill my low SUV tire. I left it on for about ten minutes because it is slow and VERY noisy. It did the job but then my car wouldn't start. My battery was out for a while. The box that this product comes in is too snug so you can't store it properly and neatly. I guess for the price it's ok, just be careful not to let it run for too long. I learned the hard way. Also, the quality of the product isn't sturdy because half of plug tip just came apart after the third use.

The reason I bought this is that I want to have an inflator on board for emergencies. The other day while on a trip I had to change a tire and put the donut on. The way this thing is mounted underneath my car does not allow to check/adjust the pressure w/o taking it down. As a consequence the pressure was way too low when I actually needed it. Luckily there was a gas station less than 2 miles away so I could bring up the pressure in the donut. Had it been a longer distance I might have needed a replacement for the donut in order to be able to get home. Anyway, now you know why I was looking for this device. I have no experience with any other inflator but this is what I think after having received it and used it once to adjust the pressure on both our cars. The light is not very bright and can only be used without the compressor running at the same time. This should be ok as you only need it to make the connection. It will not help you to read the pressure gauge in the dark anyway due to its position compared to the gauge. I was amazed how fast it brought up the pressure by 4psi on my Honda Pilot. The issue I have with this inflator is that the valve connector almost gets stuck to the valve stem and needs to be ripped off. I can imagine that this could create a problem in the long run to both your valve and the connector on the inflator. So, I will not use it on a regular basis but carry it with me in my car for an emergency which it appears to be perfect for especially when you consider the price.

This product shipped in a beautiful styro molded box. Arrived in great shape. It's mounted on the wall, hooked up, and keeps the air and oil from the air supply going to my equipment as advertised. The one thing that I wish they did differently is the bracket that holds this to the wall is a little flimsy. The three canisters with all the fittings are a little heavy for the tiny bracket around the center canister. I had to add an additional strap support twixt the large right canister and the regulator to keep it from listing to starboard.

Also, it would be nice to have a filter wrench thrown in so you can access the contents when necessary.

Other than these little nags the product is sturdy, well built and I expect to get years of use from it.

I needed this for application of a special firearm finish. It was recommended to me by my local paint supply store, who also uses it, and I got it here for a lot less than $700 they were asking at the shop. 3-stage filter, cleans /very/ easily. All it takes is some elbow grease to unscrew the canisters and give them a quick shake and a drying out once a week or so. Extremely user friendly.

The added regulator on the end has two 1/4" NPT outlets that are great for hooking up extra hoseI run one to my paint gun and one to my sandblasting cabinet. The screw-valve is a pain to back in and out, but you can control pressure nearly to the pound, up from 5 to 120 PSI. I've run it for two months now without so much as a hiccough.

Don't use this by itselfyou still need a good 15' of iron pipe to let the air cool and condense. If you try and run this straight from your compressor, especially for extended periods, you'll have to empty out the big canister and de-hydrate your dessicant beads. Which, again, not terribly difficult, but you might as well prolong their life as much as possible.

I would buy this again, without hesitation. It's definitely worth the extra money to make sure you've got the right equipment for the job. Scrimping and getting one of the cheaper single-stage ones will end up costing you more in the long run due to water and oil content in your end product.

This is an incredibly handy set that I am SO glad I purchased.

As I'm sure most people do, I think I have about 10 different accessory sets in my toolbox at this point and most of them are more of the same a bunch of #2 phillips bits, a bit holder and some assorted other driver bits. This kit has a few things that really make it stand out. #1, it includes 3 different socket sizes in it as well as an adaptor that allows you to attach any standard 1/4" drive socket to your driver. It also includes some very high quality drill bits in commonly used sizes, but the star of the show for me is the "flip bit." This is an incredibly cool little invention. On one end you have a #8 countersink bit and on the other you have a #2 phillips bit and with the included sleeve adaptor, you can switch between them within seconds which comes in EXTREMELY handy when doing finish carpentry.

I own a number of makita tools (including their outstanding LXT impact driver) and like all of those, this is top quality and I would recommend it to anyone who has an impact driver and needs a starter kit.

Shame on you Makita! The 1/8 drill bit broke on it's first use. The adapter that holds the drill bitphilips head wont lock down on the insert. I'm building a deck. I used the philips head and the deck screw broke the bit. Check your quality control...please! I love my 10.8 ion lithium impact and drill set. They're powerful...too powerful for your cheap bits. I waited too long to get a refund. Don't make the same mistake. Buy 'em, use 'em, break 'em (they self destruct) and send them back within 60 days. If enough of us to this maybe Makita will get the message and build powerful bits to match their machines.

I've been using the kit for a week for multiple jobs with a Makita Impact driver and a drill machine.

The drills are good, no wobbling.

The driver bits have worn out way too quickly for my liking. I think it's better to just get a set of low-medium quality driver bits with impact drivers.

My real gripe is the flip bit, the drill on it wobbles too much to make a quality drill. I could really see it being very useful, but because it failed so hard I had to use both a drill machine and my impact driver for my simple job.

I bought the Makita 3 piece drill set with lithium ion battery's which is a great drill set. So I figured the bit set would be great to. I used ONE bit for about 15 seconds on some cheap screws to hang some blinds and the bit was completely ruined. They obviously use the lowest quality soft metal to make these. I'm in construction and I have never seen a bit go to waste so fast. DON'T BUY. GET A DeWalt set instead.
