I currently run five Hitachi, three Senco, and two Max finish nailers. The Hitachi NT65MA2 is the best nailer I have. It is very light with minimal recoil. It has enough power to sink nails in maple effortlessly. It is stone cold reliableit has never broken a driver after five years of fulltime use (bought my old NT65MA in 98). The safety works well without marring. It shoots the Senco DA series (also UA) nail which has become the defacto industry standard. Hitachi appears to have spared no effort in designing and building the best 2 1/2" finish nailer.

As a custom homebuilder, I love high quality tools. I've had the opportunity to use many 15 gauge finish nailers throughout the years, and my hands down favorite is the Hitachi, for several reasons. It's by far the most reliable 15-gauge I've used. I run some HItachi's that are over 5 years old, and I've never had a problem with any of them. The balance of this gun is exceptional. To me balance of the gun is one of the most important features. I've run Bostitch, Senco, and Porter Cable, and I believe this gun is balanced better than any of them. The built in dust blower is also a great feature.

If this gun cost twice as much, I'd still use it, but the fact you can get it cheaper than most other 15 gauge nailers is just icing on the cake. If you're looking for the best 15 gauge nailer, this is it.

i bought this nailer several months ago. great finish gun. the little button near the top/side of the gun is an air blower. great to have available when doing base, to blow away the crumbs from falling plaster or debris that is in the way. just push and it blows it away, nice added feature that the others don't have. have had no problems and would recommend this highly

I've been using the Hitachi NT65MA for over three years now on remodeling jobsites. The only difference between the NT65MA that I use and the newer NT65MA2 is that you can bump fire the NT65MA. I suppose the Hitachi people felt that bump firing a finish nailer was uncalled for or dangerous, but I think it's great in some situations.

I've used Senco and Bostitch finish nailers on various jobs, but I think the Hitachi is superior because it has the best combination of balance, reliability, and power. It can easily handle all trim (from fir to rock maple) and light framing (door and window setting, drywall backout framing) applications, and never misfires. The only times I've had to clear nail jams have been when nailing trim to an old plaster over brick wall, and even then, only if the backing brick was very dense or hard.

At first I thought the air blower was a gimmick, but I've found it to be very helpful when I've had to blow away drywall or plaster debris and dust. This happens surprisingly often, especially if the drywallers didn't do a great job and I've had to bash out places where they've put on too much mud or have encroached on rough openings too much.

I've modified my nailer by attaching a circular saw rafter hanger to it by drilling through the magazine and cutting out the case to accommodate the hanger. Recently it has started to leak air a bit, but this is to be expected after 3 years of continuous use and abuse (it's been kicked, dropped 10 or so feet multiple times, thrown about, left in very dusty locations, rained on, etc.). A sealing rebuild is easy enough to come by anyway.

As for the choice of nails, I've never had any trouble with any brand of nails in this tool (unlike another reviewer mentioned), but I prefer to use Senco's 2.5 inch long galvanized ones.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy this nailer again.

I had a 15 ga. Bostich that mysteriously took flight from my job site. I'd heard good things about Hitachi so I bought this one even though it was $50 more than the Bostich. I also took a hit because my Bostich nails won't work in my Hitachi. I didn't realize that when I bought it. However, I really like the Hitachi better especially the nails because they have slightly bigger heads and less glue stuff on them. Both nailers performed flawlessly. I like that little air valve on the Hitachi. Sometimes, I hit it by accident when reaching for the nailer and get a plast of air in my face. Other times, I use it to blow off my saw and tools and to empty my air tank before loading them up. I'd buy it again and really wish my framing nailer was an Hitachi.

I've owned one of these reels since 1993, and have used it hundreds of times.

The reel works as you would expect of a high-quality product. To have the reel lock at the hose length needed; pull out what you need, and stop after one of the loud clicks. When done, pull the hose out a foot or so to release the lock, and slowly release the hose for it to automatically roll back up. Don't let go of the hose at that point, because it goes in so fast, it could hurt someone or damage something if smacked by the hose end. (The only reels on the market where it's safe to let the hose go when it's winding up, is the more expensive Coxreels EZ-Coil series; they feed the hose in, slowly.)

About 6 months ago, air started leaking in the fitting that the air compressor's hose attaches to. I sent an e-mail to Coxreels technical support and they told me which new part would eliminate the leak. I purchased, then replaced the swivel (see Customer Images), and the reel is as good as new. It's nice to know you can still get the manufacturer to provide advice on a 15-year old product.

The reel is all steel, except for the brass fittings. The base is 1/4" steel plate and is very strong. The painting has held up without any issues. The hose that comes with the reel is excellent reinforced rubber. It looks pretty much as it did 15 years ago. There are no rattles when pulling the hose out, as with some cheaper hose reels.

This is a high-quality, professional-grade hose reel. Highly recommended.

High quality professional unit. Works very well. Mounts on wall or ceiling. Does not leak air. Strong recoil spring. High quality hose also. You will need a typical 3/8" hose to run from your air compressor to the hose reel. Hose and fittings are easily found at Home Depot etc.

Didn't work for mine, I have a Frigidaire FAA055P7A which seems quite the popular AC to buy here on Amazon. I did follow one of the previous reviewers tip and measured the fins with a ruler before purchasing, mine had about 12 per one inch so I figured it would work on my AC. It didn't.

This tool WORKS, but you might want to buy 3 or 4 of them since the plastic teeth break after a few pulls through the fins. I had to resort to dragging the tool sideways across the bent fins to straighten them after a few of the teeth broke. A tool like this with either high-impact plastic or metal teeth would work much better.

If it helps, I have a Coleman-Evcon heat pump/AC unit and the 14 count teeth worked well on my fins, until they broke of course.

I purchased this tool to straighten the condenser fins on my a/c unit that received some damage after a hail storm. Easy to put together, just screw the handle on the plastic straightener.

Doesn't seem to have small enough combs for a residential unit, although I have not removed the wire cover to gain complete access to the fins.

Would probably work great on a car or truck radiator as the fins are much larger.

I would say this works good, but theres still water in my line after the filter. I dont know if its something I am not catching, or if the filter is just not working. It does trap water, as when I empty it some comes out, but it doesnt seem to catch it all.

I got this cabinet to avoid building my own for small glass sandblasting projects with a small compressor. Cost less than the materials would have and, while I thought the included gun would not be useful with the small compressor, was pleased to find that it worked well enough with the fine grit used to speed projects through.

1st review (after few hours of work) :

I bought this of ebay for 110$ shipped and it's wonderful. It came well packaged and contrary to other reviews mine didn't leak at all. My only problem was that my 5 gallon compressor was dropping pressure way too fast for me to do any kind of sand blast.I hyad to stop every 2 minutes to wait for pressure to built back.

If you are looking into buying one of theses and don't have money for more rugged versions get it!

2nd review (after 2 months of use):

It leaks!!!!! but easily fixable with sealer around the top window and a new bigger foam strip from hardware store for the door. I bought a ch compressor vt6275 witch is more then efficient for this kind of job. and it works great. I tried to blast 13in wheels (5"wide) in there and it was a pain, the cabinet is too shallow and its hard to blast.

I would only recommend this cabinet to anyone that wants to fix it first and use it only for work on small items (brackets, nuts, bolts etc.).

NB: i buy my sandblast media from tractor supply for very cheap (their aluminum black diamond is great.) cheaper than anything here.

It is what it is a box. It leaks some but I expect and can live with that feature. The interior light worked for about 30 seconds and went out. I called the vendor and was told they would send another light; they did and it works.

This was one of the best investments I've made it a long time! I repair electric motors for my job and 4 out of 5 times the motors are in horrible shape. I've tried everything under the sun to clean the corrosion off and while there are ways, they are not easy and very time consuming. Since the purchase of this little puppy, that is no longer the case; I can do twice as much in 1/4 the time now.

Just remember to clean filters frequently so the cabinet stays clear of dust.
