Powermate PLA1683066 30-Gallon Portable Twin Cylinder Cast Iron Air Compressor

Powermate PLA1683066 30-Gallon Portable Twin Cylinder Cast Iron Air Compressor
  • Heavy duty induction motor for maximum performance and efficiency
  • 155 psi max pressure for optimum tool performance
  • 30-Gallon ASME
  • Dual voltage motor is wired for standard 120 volt outlet, and may also be converted for 240 volt application
  • Fully assembled and equipped with quick-set regulator, tank and tool pressure gauges, quick connect air outlet and on/off switch for ease of use

I have had my compressor for a year and I like that it is very quiet when running and keeps up with my air tools. The pneumatic wheels make it easy to move because I use it to close my sprinkler system and I need to go across the grass to get to the valves. I have had a oil leak since it was new from the cylinder heads to the block and I am on my second time tiring to repair it. The machine has a two year warranty but it's to heavy to move to bring it to a repair shop so that's my last resort. This is a 110 volt unit and I never blow any fuses. I have modified the bottom drain so it's easier to drain and you can get all the hardware at and big box store. Home Depot sells there version of this machine with the Husky name on it if you want to pick it up or have it delivered for $429.00 + $55.00 to have it delivered. The only difference I can see is the belt protector is plastic and it's a 2 year warranty instead of 3 years with the Powermate which makes up the difference in the price.

Campbell Hausfeld DH5300 1-Quart General Purpose HVLP Spray Gun

Campbell Hausfeld DH5300 1-Quart General Purpose HVLP Spray Gun
  • General purpose spray gun adaptable to a wide range of applications
  • Easily changes from siphon to pressure feed with the twist of a knob
  • Pattern control adjusts fan size for better results; convertible from non-bleeder to bleeder-style for use with standard or tank less air compressor
  • Includes 1/4-inch male NPS air inlet; works with paint tanks and remote canisters
  • Weighs 2.7 pounds

This spray gun has everything that a amateur would need. It works great I sprayed 14 pre-primed doors in about 4 hours, they took one coat, and it was a mirror finish. You can not ask for anything more from a spray gun in this price range. Be prepared to have a lot of overspray as is to be expected with any spray gun.

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this spray gun.(has both pressure and siphon features with an easy switch knob).

I previously had a Binks model 35 that was just super but now discontinued.I replaced it with a Binks Model 25 that lasted one spray session. I recently sprayed acrylic enamel with this gun and it worked flawlessly.

This gun hopefully will spray latex and most liquids. The nice thing about Campbell Hausfield is that on their web page you can purchase individual parts or parts kits. I purchased a O ring gasket kit for $15.00.

After using and while cleaning this gun I discovered a broken seal. I called CH and they sent a replacement part immediately. So I give a A for both Amazon and CH.

Works as advertised. Much better for small projects than the airless sprayer I was using. Clean-up is a snap after use, with very little wasted paint.

I am extremely satisfied with Ingersoll Rand as a company. The problem is...if you order the wrong item, it costs way too much to return such large products and then you have to pay a restocking fee (usually 15-20%) I could have went to my local Tractor Supply and bought the same thing. Live and Learn I guess!

Vaper 19303 1/4" Locking Pressure Regulator with Gauge

Vaper 19303 1/4' Locking Pressure Regulator with Gauge
  • Small and light weight
  • Attaches to all conventional and hvlp spray guns

works just like it's described, however, not as good as the RTC locking pressure regulator I have for my other spray gun

Buy Vaper 19303 1/4" Locking Pressure Regulator with Gauge Now

The digital readout went bad on my 155 psi air compressor, so I bought this to install inline so I could see what pressure I'm running . Maybe I bought the wrong thing, but this gauge/regulator is not working for this. If I crank the regulator to max, which should be 180 psi, and crank my compressor to max, which is 155 psi, air just constantly blows out of some kind of relief valve in the gauge. I do achieve a full 155 psi, but the compressor never shuts off since that air is venting. The gauge seems fairly light weight, but that's to be expected at this price point. It installed easily and has a nice dial. So, I'm tentatively giving it four stars for these factors and assuming I'm doing something wrong or bought the wrong product. But why would air vent on a pressure gauge? If anybody can help me out with this I'll update the review. Thanks.

I installed this over a year ago and it's never leaked or given me any issues. The valve was easy to mount and is really easy to adjust. I don't even need my glasses to read the numbers. You won't go wrong if your looking for a regulator with a gauge.

Campbell Hausfeld FP202899AV 1 Gallon Tank Mounted Air Compressor with 2 in 1 Nailer

Campbell Hausfeld FP202899AV 1 Gallon Tank Mounted Air Compressor with 2 in 1 Nailer
  • 1 Gallon tank offers additional stored air capacity.Tank eliminates pulsations caused by piston action.
  • The sturdy handle allows for comfortable handling and simple storage.
  • Bonus nailer kit is included with a 2 in 1 1-1/4" brad nailer and 1-1/4" stapler.
  • Compressor offers automatic shut-off feature.
  • Accessories are included for convenient use right out of the box.

This is a great little combo for the money. The small one gallon tank is great for small jobs around the house and is pretty light to carry. It has plenty of power (100 p.s.i. max)to run the stapler/brad nailer it comes with. I have had zero problems with the combo in the four months since I have had them. The only fault I can find is with the nailer, it seems to leave a 1/4 inch wide dent (for staples i guess) from the firing head. I am not sure if this is a problem with all stapler/nailer comos or just this one, But its nothing a little putty won't fill. Over all i am very pleased with my purchase.

I got this @ another store (walmart), thinking it would be a good buy. As i needed something to fully inflate my car tires. It never worked right, even after doing all tha trouble shooting. Still this thing didnt help me @ all, in fact it managed to drain any available air i had in my tire out... Now my car is relaly stuck & i have to go get another unit!!!

Ex: Read all directi0ns, & did each thing step by step...

Problems::

1) Never built up enough pressure in tha tank to inflate tires

2) Couldnt even maintain airpressure, airpressure dropped dramatically when attempting to fill tires.

3) It actually aided in draining remaining air out of tires.

4) My car is really screwed now, since i only have 17lbs of air in 1 tire...

Porter-Cable CMB15 150 PSI 1.5 Gallon Oil-Free Fully Shrouded Compressor

Porter-Cable CMB15 150 PSI 1.5 Gallon Oil-Free Fully Shrouded Compressor
  • 2.0 SCFM at 90 psi allows for quick compressor recovery time, per ISO1217
  • 1.5 gal tank in shroud is easy to carry, includes water drain valve and rubber feet
  • 150 psi max tank pressure stores more air in the tank for longer tool runtimes
  • Durable oil-free pump for long life and no maintenance
  • Low Amp 120V motor starts easily in cold weather or with extension cord

a plumber for 35 years i am always looking for the perfect tool to replace what used to be the perfect tool in my truck. this thing is beyond fabulous. lightweight and well balanced when you grab and go it is also well protected by its case. it is as light and compact as all the truck compressors i've used but didn't have the tank to build up pressure for the air gun for blowing out lines. adjustable pressure delivery dial and a cord wrap that actually works. rubber feet let it stay put while in use instead of "walking around."

Buy Porter-Cable CMB15 150 PSI 1.5 Gallon Oil-Free Fully Shrouded Compressor Now

Good value for the price. The air hose is chintzy, but easily replaced, when necessary, with standard 1/4" NPT hose from any major hardware store. The air flow rate is far greater than tankless air compressors, so this is a much better choice for automotive, truck, bus or RV tires. It would be over-kill for smaller tires. I didn't think it was too noisy, unless you have it very close to your ears when operating. There is an easy cure: get more hose. I don't think pulling on the ring of the relief valve to bleed off tank pressure is a good idea. It is noisy and will wear out the valve prematurely. It is also hard on your finger. Install a trigger-operated inflator instead and bleed off at the hose end instead of at the relief valve. I have only used it a few times, but am very pleased with performance so far. Durability remains to be seen. Bear in mind that the manufacturer recommends tank replacement in 10 years, regardless of how often it has been used during that time. It should last much longer if used infrequently and if the tank is ALWAYS drained after each use.

I ordered this product for my husband. He is absolutely pleased with its performance and portability. Would recommend getting this brand if you are thinking of purchasing. As far as we are concerned,it is a great buy, made very sturdy, and by far better than other brands that we have looked at or purchased in the past.

I received the compressor as an early X-Mas gift less than a month ago. My expectation was that the compressor would serve me well as a portable unit ideal for occasional home-use, primarily for adding air to car and bike tires, and pumping up basketballs, soccer balls, etc. While the hose and accessories included with the unit seemed very cheap, I was hoping the compressor itself was not cheaply constructed. However, on the 4th time using the compressor (to add air to a car tire), the unit failed. In particular, there's a massive internal air leak (inside the case) that renders the unit unusable. The compressor runs and the tank builds pressure to 150psi, but when the regulator dial is turned clockwise to provide working pressure, there's a massive leak inside the case and pressure is immediately lost, most likely behind either the regulator itself or perhaps at the connection to the pressure gauge. In any case, I've repeatedly checked the safety valve on the side and relief valve on the bottom, which are both fine. And the leak is not coming from the hose or the hose connection, but is definitely inside the case. I'm very disappointed with the poor quality control that let this defective unit reach the customer. It may be simply be a loose internal connection, o-ring, etc., but I'm left with nothing more than an industrial paper weight in my garage, which I'll not likely return since it was bought as a gift (off Amazon.com), and because I tossed out the original box the week after I received it, making it a hassle to ship back.

For the uses I bought it for this is a great little unit. I will use it to inflate bike tires, trailer tires, car tires, winterize my travel trailer and clean bike parts with a pistol gun. It is compact and light enough to take along on a road trip. The coiled hose has had some complaints but for my purposes it is fine. I do not intend to run any tools with it, but it probably would handle a small job. I looked at several other compressors and even brought one home that I was not happy with. After a lot of research this one is perfect and fairly priced. I did buy a few quick connect fittings that make changing from one use to another much faster.
