Pro-Force FT5 5-Gallon Portable Air Tank

Pro-Force FT5 5-Gallon Portable Air Tank
  • 135 Max PSI
  • Fully assembled, ready to use
  • High quality brass manifold
  • Durable welded on handle
  • Equipped with air pressure gauge, air line shut-off valve, pressure relief valve, easy access fill valve, 3-Feet by 1/4-Inch air hose and air chuck

This is a very well made 5 gallon air tank but gave it three stars due to it's price. Now wish I had bought the 7 gallon one at Walmart or 10 gallon at Lowes for a lot less money. What drew my attention was the higher pressure rating 135 vs 125 psi for the others. That's extra margin of safety and more stored air. The tank was boxed as well as an expensive power tool and construction is excellent, no complaints there. One complaint is that it is designed to fill tires, balls, etc with an air chuck. I was imagining having a port for tapping other things like an air spigot for blowing, running my nail gun or a little bit of paint spraying with low cfm hobby type spray gun.

As a tire inflator, it's wonderful to have and use. Very convenient and no dragging the air hose and cranking up the stationary compressor. Will be modifying the manifold to add an extra port but am disappointed especially at the price of this tank.

First off, before you order this, go to Home Depot, Lowes and/or Harbor Freight and see if you can get a similar item at one of those stores for less money. I could of saved about $8 (plus shipping costs) if I'd done that.

As for this particular item, it's not bad for a first air tank. It's geared towards having a portable air system so you can fill tires when not near a gas station, but I'm looking at using it for airbrushing my model kits.

Now, I know next to nothing about air tanks, but I think it's rather odd that mine's losing pressure. Not sure why... I'm using sealant tape on all the valves, everything is tightly sealed, and I have the pressure release locked down, but even so, mine's losing pressure at a rate of about 3 PSI an hour. Also, on the second day, the plastic twist-knob split, making it very likely that it'll break off soon. It's still usable so long as I don't twist it too hard one direction or another, but I'll be returning the tank anyways.

For airbrushing, you will need a regulator capable of handling up to 135 PSI, but my compressor can only fill the tank to around 53 PSI, so I'm okay on that for now. It should be noted that the air chuck can not be removed from the hose. As such, you will need a replacement 1/4" hose and a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter to get it to work with with your airbrush. (Some regulators come with 1/4" to 1/8" adapters. Mine did as it accepts 1/4" hoses natively.)

The fill valve is exactly like a tire valve, (which requires an air chuck) so don't expect to use it to fill the tank with your compressor. However, when the main valve is open, (which releases the air) you can use your compressor (with a 1/4" hose) to fill the tank. Using an open manifold or a T-Junction would let you use this tank with your airbrush, and fill it with your compressor at the same time. (Sounds impossible at first, but it works!)

If the leak was an aberration and the twist-knob hadn't cracked so easily, I would consider buying this again.

this tank is handy for all your air up needs great to use on your motorcycle or car so you don't ahve to drive to the gas station you can fill your tires when they are cold the correct way to do this

IIT 10040 18-Piece Pneumatic Air Compressor Accessory Kit

IIT 10040 18-Piece Pneumatic Air Compressor Accessory Kit
  • Complete set of air accessories - essential for every professional and DIY workshop
  • Includes brass quick-connect coupler, female & male-threaded connectors & adapter
  • 6" dual-head tire chuck, tire pressure gauge, inflating tips for sports balls & water toys
  • Blow gun with over-sized squeeze trigger, rubber tip, cleaning brush & specialty tips
  • Valve stem tool with valve remover, stem adapters and replacement valves

I bought this product. The moment i hooked it up, i could tell something was wrong. The tools included with mine leaked air constantly. It caused the compressor to keep running and the tool attached to keep working (when you didnt want it to). This wass especially problematic when i had it attached to a paint sprayer. It caused it to keep spraying when i released the handle.

Let's just say, one of the reasons I love amazon is because they have a great return policy.

Stanley G13301 Pattern Pistol Gun and Hopper

Stanley G13301 Pattern Pistol Gun and Hopper
  • 3/2-Inch and 1/8-Inch nozzles
  • Smooth, even coverage
  • Convenient trigger lock
  • 9 pattern orifice wheel
  • Hopper included

I purchased this gun for putting 'knockdown' on my kitchen ceilng and walls. I have had absolutely no experience in doing this before. It was a 'growth' experience. There is a plethora of information on the internet, videos et.al., but none gave a start to finish discussion of how to do this. In the long run, you have to experiment on some scrap material or a section of the wall that will be covered up (by cabinets etc.). I bought the 'knockdown' material from Home Depot and simply followed the mixing directions on the package.

I did the walls first. Great! the gun performed perfectly. It took a number of tries before I got the balance between the opening to be used (I used the 3rd largest hole ..next time I'll use the next smaller hole.), the amount of trigger pull needed ('winged it' mostly wide open) , and the pressure from my compressor (=< 40# ... less may be better). And that's the beauty of this machine.. it's so easy to change settings. I love the all metal construction of the gun and the hopper is made of very good plastic type material. Although there is a variable 'stop' that can be used to limit the amount of trigger pull, I was not able to find the right location...and so as I said I simply pulled it all the way back and relied upon the orifice opening

And now we come to the ceiling (and the reason for the 4 rating instead of the 5). This unit comes with a plastic elbow attachment which is supposed to allow you to tip the gun upwards whilst keeping the hopper vertical, to avoid spillage. Thinking back, I seem to remember an innocuous comment on one of the internet sites (not in the manual!) about tightening the lower part of the elbow attachment with a hose clamp. I really remembered that when the hopper popped of the gun and the material started running down my arm and onto the floor. The stuff was starting to set up so had to finish by trying to hold the hopper in place by putting pressure on it. Made for a sloppy and uneven ceiling job, which turned out to be passable. I did buy a hose clamp and it makes the whole ensemble rock solid ..... but com'on guys... for crying out loud, just put the hose clamp in with the gun... REALLY!

Bottom line: This is a great gun, better than those I saw in the home improvement stores (IMHO) and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to do knockdown on a large area. Just remember the hose clamp or the gun will remind you!

We first bought a cheap pattern sprayer and it broken after a couple weeks. We bought this one and it works great. Easy to take the gun apart and clean it after use. Multiple holes for changing the sprayer pattern. Easy to hold the bucket when doing the ceiling. The only problem you need an extra hole clamp for the 45 degree elbow or else it will fall off.

I had 2 Goldblatts for over 30 years until they finally wore out. I automatically ordered another Goldblatt.. Big mistake! I had modified the first 2 guns with a PVC 45 bend so the guns worked better for ceilings. This new gun has a "rubber seal" where the gun meets the hopper. The hopper is impossible to keep on the gun, even with the clamp provided. They have changed the size of the hopper and gun just enough so a PVC 45 ell no longer fits. The gun is OK for walls, but not worth a darn for ceilings because of the improper angle you have to hold the gun at to get the mud to flow to the gun. In 6 texture jobs, the hopper came off the gun 6 times. Such a nice mess when it does! I cut my finger trying to clean the inside of the gun due to sharp casting edges left in the gun. This appears to be a cheap Chinese mess.

Manifold 3 Hose Air Brush Air Compressor Adaptor- Badger Airbrush

Manifold 3 Hose Air Brush Air Compressor Adaptor- Badger Airbrush
  • Manifold with 3 hookups

I bought this manifold for my compressor. I could only run one airbrush off the compressor and I have like 5 or 6 of them. Okay, I only really use 2 but hey, I didn't want to be switching them out all the time. This little puppy is a tad expensive, but I'm loving it so far. The item was slightly different than the picture on-line with a straight connection into the old connection rather than the 90 degree bend shown. But this worked out well for me and made it easy to connect.

Now I've got two airbrushes hooked up and I can power them both. The valves make it easy to shut off unused ports or even unused brushes. I like having the ports all pointing in differing directions, it helps keep the airbrush hoses separated instead of tangled. I suppose you could stack these to add even more ports, but I'm happy with 3 for now.

I've got an Iwata and a Crescendo hooked up at the moment. Both connected just fine. If you don't need a gazillion ports, this is a pretty good connector.

Klimaire 12,000 Btu 20 SEER, Energy Star, Ductless Mini Split Inverter Air Conditioner & Heat Pump,

Klimaire 12,000 Btu 20 SEER, Energy Star, Ductless Mini Split Inverter Air Conditioner & Heat Pump, 220 volt, Ion Generator Air Purifying System, Active Carbon Filter, Evaporator Self Cleaning Function, Follow me Comfort Function on Remote Control + Free 16 ft Installation Kit.We just had this unit installed last wednesday. Yesterday we noticed the unit was not heating. We called the installer and he determined that the condensor line was leaking and that we needed a new outdoor unit. We have to pay shipping on the unit for Heat and Cool on an item that is brand spanking new, plus will have to pay to have the new unit installed. This is so wrong. It is obvious that customer satisfaction is not a priority with this company. I would not recommend anyone buying any product from them if you can help it.

Update, Heat and cool paid for shipping both ways and 3 weeks ago replaced at no charge the controller board which was fried by lightning. Increasing rating to 4 stars.

We purchased five units some five years ago, in our new house. They were installed professionally. Saved a ton of money over conventional air conditioning. We love the concept, and at first the units all workd fine. Quiet, cool, etc. We also saved money by heatine or cooling only the rooms we use. (Why cool a spare bedroom 24/7?) Zone cooling at its easiest. Energy efficient.

But getting service has been a nightmare, and three of units today are not functional Warranty? Don't make me laugh. A new compressor will cost just about what a new unit will cost, and shipping by pallet is so expensive (that's the only way, they say) that it's cheaper to toss the entire unit and buy a new one.

We'll buy new ones, alright, but not from this company.

the install was pretty staight forward. It took me about 2 weeks of an hour here and there after work to get everything done. I LOVE the unit, it is quiet and cool. People always ask about it and its easy on the electricity bill. Dont make the mistake I made and move the condenser lines after the freon is in circulation. The nuts that hold the lines together can loosen, and the the freon will escape into the ether. Then, you will have to call your AC person to come take your money.

I have a 9k btu klimaire mini-split working fine. Two pieces of advice: When assembling use Nylog Blue assembly sealant at all metal to metal connections..works great. 2-If using cheap vacuum pump heat up the evaporator coils with a hair blow dryer;makes up for the poor pump capacity.

Want Klimaire 12,000 Btu 20 SEER, Energy Star, Ductless Mini Split Inverter Air Conditioner & Heat Pump, Discount?

While not the exact model listed above, I did purchase 3 separate units of various sizes. All have heat cooled as expected for over 2 years now. Be sure and don't lose the remote control...was fairly expensive to replace. I ended up just using 2 remotes to cover the 3 units. I did all the drilling & setup work and then had a retired HVAC person help me with the connections and vacuum. Otherwise, you should call a professional installer. I'm unsure about quality of support because I've never needed to contact anyone. However, these were so much cheaper than any other alternative at the time, I would come out ahead to just purchase a replacement unit versus going with some other brand that claims better warranty/support services.

AAA 65-Piece Winter Severe Weather Travel Kit

AAA 65-Piece Winter Severe Weather Travel Kit
  • Compact 65-piece road assistance kit for winter conditions by AAA and LifeLine First Aid
  • Includes folding shovel with sheath
  • Includes 3-piece fleece set
  • Includes strobe light
  • Includes a 46-piece first-aid kit

I ordered two of these kits in anticipation for another cold Minnesota winter. I received it within 2 days since I have Amazon Prime. I am pleased with the kit overall, but am disappointed as well.

The kit seems sufficient with plenty to get by if I were to be stranded somewhere in the middle of no where. There's stuff to keep me warm, safe, and to signal others as well. Everything seems to be of mediocre quality, which is good enough for me.

However, it is different from what is described.

1) No Matches! The set of matches in both sets were replaced with another cheap candle due to shipping restrictions. What good are my 4 candles without matches?

2) The flashlight is NOT a hand-charged dual LED flashlight. Instead it is an ordinary cheap flashlight with two AA batteries.

The waterproof matches and the hand-charged flashlight were definitely selling points, and I'm not so sure I would have bought this particular set if it I knew these pitfalls ahead of time. Nonetheless, I'll keep them to save myself the hassle since I'm still better with the kits than without them.

I am planning on adding a few items before I chuck it into my trunk. Some hard candy, extra socks, some baggies to keep my feet dry in case I need to trudge through some snow, a container to melt snow in, chapstick, a medium sized and durable container of cat litter, and finally my trusty jumper cables.

Buy AAA 65-Piece Winter Severe Weather Travel Kit Now

If you are a driver who travels in rough winter weather (or if you know and like such a driver), this is a perfect starter kit to put in the trunk before the first leaves fall. The AAA Winter Travel kit has put together a bunch of survival items that could make the difference between freezing to death or waiting for help in relative comfort. The kit is not 100% complete, no kit could be, but if you add the items that pertain to your personal situation, you will feel a lot better when driving those backwoods roads.

The most useful item, by far, is the enclosed "Emergency Car Care Guide," which has instructions and suggestions to get your car headed back to safety instead of being stranded at the side of a cold and stormy road. If the car cannot be started again easily, the Guide also contains suggestions on how to keep warm and safe while waiting for rescue. To help, there are emergency candles, a shovel to remove snow from around the car's tailpipe (keeps away that carbon monoxide), a flashlight and an emergency blanket. The blanket is made of thin, reflective plastic and would be better supplemented with a heavy woolen blanket, or even layers of newspaper in an emergency.

Another thing that the kit does not contain is food and water necessary to stay warm, comfortable and not hungry while waiting. I suggest always having a case package of water bottles (you need a lot more water than food, and three candles won't melt much snow) and some high calorie snack bars, which last a long time and will provide needed body heat in a winter emergency. Both items can be easily replaced and rotated as time passes, so that the items won't be old and stale when a real emergency occurs.

As a thoughtful starting point for your kit, this is great, but don't kid yourself 46 pieces of the 63 piece kit are the "first aid supplies" (mostly bandages) and "quality vinyl cover." You need more than this in a winter emergency. An hour's online research will give you a complete list, to which you need only add something to kill time. A novel from Amazon, perhaps? :-)

As other reviewers have said, the description and pictures are misleading! Unfortunately for me, these reviews didn't go up until after I put in my order! I am very upset. This is the first time I've ever bought something from Amazon and been so misled. And for those that may not have read the other reviews, there is no hand chargeable flashlight or waterproof matches. Matches were replaced by ONE candle due to alleged shipping restrictions. How am I supposed light any of the candles WITHOUT matches?! Also, it is now a 65-piece kit. I don't know how it compares to the 63-piece kit, but I doubt the 2 extra pieces are anything more significant than bandages. One final thing is that there is a August 2010 expiration date listed on the front of the bag. I haven't checked to see which item expires, but it probably refers to a minor first aid item.

Want AAA 65-Piece Winter Severe Weather Travel Kit Discount?

Useful item, misleading description. I actually used this last weekend when I unexpectedly had to put chains on my tires and was without a hat and mittens, so I am glad I had it. However, the item description lists "1 hand-charged dual LED flashlight" which is not the case. I got a normal, incandescent flashlight with two batteries. No LED, no hand-charge. Also, the item description lists "strobe light" which also appears to be absent, unless you repeatedly turn the flashlight on and off by yourself. Finally, no matches as the description says. Apparently shipping regulations restrict the shipping of matches.

These items really need to be fixed in the description.

I got one of the other AAA kit's and figured that the severe weather one would be a good addition considering I live in Chicago and every so often we have severe weather. I read the reviews and people raved about the little shovel...ummm why? Either I didn't get the same one they did or I got a defective one because I couldn't use it. Three people couldn't use it. I actually threw it out it was that much of a waste (the shovel not the kit).

Any of the other AAA car kits are just as good and have everything if not more that this one does.
