Ingersoll-Rand P244-610 1/2'' Female NPT Regulator NEW
- 1 Piece
Since my smaller compressor is used little in the garage on my home, and is a 60 gallon vertical unit, I decided a single station at the tank outlet was sufficient. I also decided a large coalescing filter wasn't needed, like the large expensive one I have on my 7.5 HP Emax, but filtered air is always a must. The P244-610 was just made to order for my use on this 3 HP compressor almost!
The ratings for airflow and PSI requirements, easy pressure adjustments, and filtering were also just what I needed and wanted. The easy read color coded gauge, and the nice metal filter with its sight glass, were all icing on the cake. The 175 PSI rating was also a plus over other filter regulators. But, the modular design is even better.
The color coded gauge is also adjustable, under the gauge cover, for quick pressure viewing. I keep the colors adjusted on mine for easy reading with no more than a quick glance to note 60 or 90 PSI as the numbers and divisions on the gauge are small.
Note: The part number you will receive is P39344-610. The gauge is mounted into the modular housing by two screws, and is not the older 1/4" NPT screw-in gauge model. This is the IR ARO 2000 modular series of gauges.
The P244-610 comes set up with its air input to the left of the gauge and the output on the right. That works out fine if you have your tank outlet fitting on the right of your tank, but mine are on the left of my air reciever setup which would have the gauge facing the rear of my compressor. Thanks to the modular design, that's no problem. I simple unscrewed the face of the gauge, removed two Phillips head screws, and removed the gauge. I also removed the cover plate on the opposite side. Keeping the two rubber air seals in place, I then reversed the position of the plate and gauge, and re-assembled the regulator. The regulator housing is also made so the filter can be replaced 180 degrees opposite of the factory configuration. This gave me the inlet on the side I needed, kept my gauge facing forward, and put the bowl sight tube toward the front. All you lose from the frontal view are the painted ARO emblem, and the "lock" and "un-lock filter emblems, on the housing. The filter regulator performs just as well in either configuration and mine looks great! It wouldn't have been so great with the gauge and sight glass facing the rear of my compressor, but Ingersoll Rand has covered that problem with the well thought out modular design.
The bowl bleed works easily with a light touch from the front and seals instantly when released, and the metal bowl is easily removed and replaced with the pressure cut off to the P244-610 and relieved from the bowl. The bowl locks in place while pressurized.
My entire change to the unit, and installing it to my compressor with thread tape, took only a few minutes and I didn't have a single leak!
Since I use a 3/8 industrial quick connect to a single rubber hose on this compressor, it now looks much neater using the compact design of the P244-610. A gate valve cuts the pressure off to the filter regulator, and the whole assembly is close to the side of the tank and easily accessible. This also makes for a sturdy mounting of the sturdy P244-610 unit. I was previously using a very bulky DevilBiss filter regulator that stuck out much further from the side of my tank. The Ingersoll Rand P244-610 makes the DevilBiss look like a very bulky and weak antique by comparison. It's also much easier and faster to service than the DevilBiss. I expect this new P244-610 will last a long time just like my other Ingersoll Rand ARO regulators and filters.
Rated for a maximum 175 PSI connection with a maximum setting of 140 PSI air regulation, this is a very flexible unit that can be used in numerous air pressure line configurations. The compact size is roughly 3-inches x 11-inches.

LG Electronics LP1311BXR 13,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control - Black/Metallic Si
Summer of 2012, begin using the new replacement unit. Works great for one month. Then the same issue...cooling part breaks and is on back order. LG granted me a warranty extension, but now the replacement part is still on back order after 1.5 months and LG wants me to wait for the part or have the third-party company verify they contacted LG for the part. LG will not do this themselves (they are the ones that recommended the third-party company to fix unit) and I'm playing phone tag. Third-party company servicing the unit says they received the incorrect part and needs to wait another 3-4 weeks. LG says to find out with the third-party company the order number and let them know the details and they will determine what to do from there. An here, it looks like I won't have it back for use again until this fall.
This is NOT reliable. Both the original unit and replacement unit had the same main cooling component fail after 1-2 months of use. Now i'm without a room AC unit and out $500.
DO NOT BUY.
UPDATE: I'd like to give this ZERO stars, but it's not avail. I tried posting this same review on the LG website and it got rejected. Surprise surprise. No wonder the reviews on the LG website have this product rated at 4/5 stars when here on Amazon it's 1-2 stars.
