I bought a cheap air tank at Harbor Freight. The hose on that was very thin and the chuck was plastic with a lever on it. I never could get that thing to work properly. I decided to try replacing the hose with this one. It was a great idea. It attached no problem and it's now so easy to fill the tires. Just push it on, no more wrestling with that junky plastic one.

Bought this air pump hose with ball chuck from amazon third-party marketplace seller ToolsNow for two bucks plus shipping for a total of a little over seven bucks. Got this hose as a replacement hose to put on our Black & Decker Air Station pump for putting air in car tires. The original hose had a plastic air valve, with a lever on it, that finally broke after years and years and years of use. So, purchased this one where the air valve is that "ball chuck" that doesn't have a flip lever to lock in place on the tire. You just hold it in place on the tire. Just like some of the tire air pump hoses at gas stations. Wanted this type because it shouldn't break. And it works. The only issue is after you are done, you may want to press in the pin on inside of the ball chuck to release the air. The air that is left in the hose (after pumping air into the tire) should release slowly by itself, but you could use one of your tools to press the pin in to quickly release the air and that way the gauge of your air pump will go back down to zero. And there are zero problems with this air pump hose with the ball chuck. Very much worth getting.

This compressor is everthing I thought it was going to be. It works great, not too loud not too heavy. I bought a Mi T M gas powered wheelbarrow type compressor 8 years ago don't use it everyday but use it a lot. Have only had to replace the regulator, not even a belt. This company makes very good products and is made in USA. It cost a little more but is built ten times better than that junk from China. Even the EMGLO'S are made in China. Fantastic output and low noise level (compared to some other compressors) paired with the portability of a 50 pound compressor makes this a great product. I bought this compressor new from Amazon this past summer.

Small Complaint: There is a 4" diameter blotch of rust on the tank that has caused the paint to bubble up. It's right on top where it's quite visible. I ordered the compressor for work and couldn't take the time to send it back. I had to use it immediately. Now I live with a tank that wasn't properly corrosion treated, and which is rusty as new from the factory (yes it came that way).

Bigger Complaint: The oil viscosity of the pump causes the motor to overload in cold weather. I am looking for a fix for this now. I just had the compressor in the repair shop (under warranty) for two weeks. They called yesterday and said it was just a thermal overload button that had to be reset.

The thermal fuse kicked in because the oil gets hard in cold weather.

The thermal fuse reset button is located inside the compressor. Disassembly is required to simply press this reset button.

I am a little bit disappointed that this is not the world's greatest portable compressor, which is what I was led to believe when I purchased it. I now have one more project on my hands: to see if changing to a lighter oil will void the warranty, and if it will shorten the lifetime of the compressor.

I have used this gun now to do quite a bit of siding, using wood siding and fiber cement trim. I have fired short finish nails and longer 2 1/2 inch nails (capacity). It has never, never jammed and never failed to fire if I remembered to turn on the compressor and to load in nails! There have been times that I drove a longer nail from one corner trim piece of fiber cement 1 X 6 into another and it didn't sink all the way, but it was silly of me not to change to shorter nails, so I don't blame the poor gun!

It's pretty, so you'll be tempted to treat it gently, but that isn't needed... it's a toughy!

I'm building a log home and bought this nail gun to install the tongue and grove ceilings. I've used over 4,000 nails so far and have had absolutely no failures. It is light enough to operate overhead all day and at 80 psi will seat a 2" nail under the wood's surface. It fits the hand well and is fully adjustable without tools. The only negative I can find is that it has no way to hang it up while fitting a board. I use it with a small 2.5 HP, 4.2 CFM compressor and it will shoot 12 nails before cycling the unit. The nails are easily available on-line or at your local big-box store and this gun is not fussy about what brand you feed it. I liked it so well that I went back and bought it's big brother, the Hitachi framing nailer (but that is another review).

Pros:

-exhaust can be rotated (air in the face is annoying and dangerous)

-button to spray air (very handy for bleeding compressors at the end of the day)

-great weight and balance, extremely comfortable

-jam clearing mechanism is super easy to use (haven't had a jam yet though)

-very consistent depth of drive

-comes with air fitting pre-installed (no need to buy)

Cons:

-don't like the tip style as much as my other nailers

-no lockout mechanism to prevent dry fire

It's worked well for me on furniture projects, and I don't have any major complaints. It's a great nailer (maybe even the cadillac), but I probably wouldn't recommend it to any of my amateur woodworker friends, because they can get something else to do the job at a fraction of the cost (lots of good nailers on the market right now).

Five stars for quality and design, but only three stars for value. In the end, it's still a five star tool.

Lightweight and I haven't had a jam in over 3 cases of nails hanging beaded pine ceiling. I read a review when I purchased the gun that said "The gun feels like an extension of your hand." They were right.The air blowing feature seems a bit pointless, but it doesn't affect anything.

The spray button is a nice touch. A solid gun, although hideous, and the grip and trigger are nice. No jambs to report. I actually shot 18ga nails in a pinch out of this gun (not recommended!) but it shot them two at a time for a while and still didn't jamb! Why they made it look like an alien respiratory system, I don't know, but form over function here, it's really not a beauty contest. The only (minor) complaint I have is that the large round head/tip is not perfectly tailored to small 2 5/8 crown moulding. It is still possible to get it where you want it to sink the nail well, but if you don't use the tip right you may have to set 1 out of 20 with a nailset which is fine if you keep it in your belt. I do think the tip is fantastic and sturdy in all other situations. Maybe I should just use 2" brads for that mould.

I've used this hose heavily for 1.5 yrs. Is it a nice hose? Yes. Is it a great hose? No. Not at the 2x (or more) the price tag vs. rubber IMO.

Likes: Doesn't stretch (permanently), lighter weight, doesn't kink easy, less friction while dragging around objects.

Dislikes: more 'memory' and 'springy' than rubber (easier for it to trip you, get caught on things, or twist on itself a MAJOR safety hazard IMO), price

This is what I have been using in our bodyshop for many years. It holds up better than any hose we have purchased. It is so light and flexable there is no other options. Bought this hose to replace a Goodyear black rubber hose. The old hose worked fine but left scuff marks when I dragged it across my work bench and anything else it came in contact with. I decided to go with this after seeing the reviews. The hose is very lite and limber. It takes up a great deal less space on my reel however it coils up badly and refuses to lay flat. I have tripped over this hose more times in the last 3 months than I ever did with my 15 year old rubber hose not to mention the fact that it does not like to be dragged around a corner. When you do get it around the corner keep eyes open when you go back because it will be coiled up like a snake waiting to trip you up. Bottom line--I'm still looking for a good replacement for my Goodyear hose ---guess I'll go with the red rubber model even though it's heavier.

Works extremely well, has all the features/adjustments of regular HVLP sprayers, works even with my little 2HP 6 Gal PorterCable pancake compressor that came with my air nailer. Granted the compressor does run more often than when your just nailing things, but I haven't had a problem as I build some furniture projects. I imagine painting a room or large objects would be better suited to turbine units that can supply a continuous airflow. But it beats spending hundreds more for a turbine unit that would just take up more space in my shop. If you have a compressor and want to try spraying finishes this is an economical way to start. I purchased one of these guns from another site that sells them at a good price.

It's performed quite well and is very flexible. I have painted 3 rooms in my house as well as painted some furniture. Also, I have tested some water-based lacquer and it performed very well.

This is a great gun to buy especially if you already have a compressor. There are reviews on the internet (if you search you can find them) detailing successes using this gun with pancake compressors.

I am surprised and disappointed that Amazon is clearing this gun out given how well it performs. Not to worry if you buy one, there are other sites that sell this gun and numerous parts and extra projector sets. Just do a thorough search and you will find it.

I just finished spraying a door with latex which is tough to spray even in the best of circumstances. Once I worked out the settings, the gun sprays nicely and evenly. The gun leaked at the packing seal out of the box and dropped blobs of paint on my door before I noticed the leak. The manual if you want to call it that is horrible. No advice on adjustments depending on material being spray, just a parts diagram and some crummy directions on how to hold the gun level. I'm used to spraying Acrylics and lacquers with my old Binks 62 so I know how to use a gun, I just need some advice on spraying with the HLVP process which is a bit different than the "old" days. The quality of the gun is good and it appears to be well made. It's a shame that Wagner did not put a bit more into the customer service side and include a decent manual.

Being my first HVLP gun I was quite pleased. For my first project I painted 6 chairs and 1 patio table with only 1 quart of black Rustoleum paint. That is how impressive the lack of over spray is on this gun. I used 15% Acetone in the paint and found the best way of measuring is to purchase some cheap semi-transparent measuring containers at your local hardware store.

Cleanup was a breeze as per the directions, just remember to spray the gun out in something like a trashcan.

Some pointers:

Even with the small amount of over spray, wear a mask. I didn't at first and after a good sneeze found black paint coming out of my nose. It may seem like common sense but it is something that is easily over looked.

The only problem I had with the gun is easily picked up in the instructions. There is a seal on the top of the paint canister that after some time of getting moisture will swell to get an airtight fit. When I was cleaning the gun with Acetone, the enlarged seal prevented me from properly locking the canister to the gun. Not noticing my mistake, I picked the gun up and the canister fell to the floor dumping the contents. Yes it was a mess to clean up, but a lesson well learned. The engineering could of been better on this aspect so beware.

Also when cleaning, take the needle valve out easier by pulling the trigger to send it out the back of the gun.

great gun! by removing the supplied regulator and attaching the quick connect fitting from your turbine gun you have the capspray titan II at half the price. save yourself the money and go this way.

My boss keeps buying cheap hose fittings for the shop and after a couple of weeks they start leaking and after a couple of months they fail outright only to be replaced with another cheapie.

I've known from previous shops I've worked at that these Milton fittings last much, MUCH longer many years in some cases! I finally couldn't take the incessant hissing noises and the air compressor constantly running any more so I took it upon myself to buy a couple of these for our most used air hoses.

Great for home use, small projects, airbrush painting, and HPLV gun use. Bought two "oilless" compressors in two years, sent one back for repair under warrantee, waited a month for return. They leak air, they are noisy, air needs lots of water and contaminant filtering, and can't keep up with the job/use. This compressor uses an "old fashioned" piston air pump, and works right. Add an auxiliary air tank to keep up with nail and staple guns, and presto, you have a dependable workhorse. Can't compare with the 60 gallon, double piston at work, but this one is fine for small projects. Absolutely worth money/use.

I called Campbell Hausfeld directly and they said the box is correct, and that they need to update their description of the item. This looks to be Cambell Hausfelds fault as every place I found this regulator on the web had the incorrect description "From the Manufacturer".

Of the Campbell Hausfeld filters & lubricators I wanted a blue set but this product was the only combined "set" I found. I figured blue, black, whatever but when I got it in the mail, it in fact was a blue set. Bottom line, I wanted an air filter, regulator, lubricator kit for my air compressor and this fits the bill perfectly. The only thing I noticed when I installed this and filled it with oil for use is that my air compressor already has a regulator on it at the hose connection and the two regulators are about 5 PSI different. When the regulator on my air compressor is set at 90PSI, the regulator on this combo is only reading 85PSI. So I just bumped the air compressor up to 95PSI in order to get a 90PSI reading on the combo set. I figure it's only 5PSI and within the range of the tools I have for no big issues. I still highly recommend this product.
