- Oil-less design, with a gearless direct drive permanent magnetic motor, heavy duty PTFE piston ring and precision durable bearings for increased piston and motor life

- 100 percent duty cycle
- Kit includes 450C compressor, mounting hardware with vibration isolators, freeze-resistant wiring, remote mount air filter assembly, air line for remote mounting air filter, heavy duty terminals and more
looks like this compressor could be mounted out in the elements as long as the intake port was piped to a clean location, i typically pipe these to the truck cab so it takes in cleaner and already partially dehumidized ( air conditioned) air.

The compressor I had Prior to this was a piece of junk, but the Viar 450C is simply amazing. It airs in a quarter of the time as my previous compressor. HIGHLY recommend this product.I have used this compressor without trouble and it exceeds the requirements I needed for driving a pressure driven centrifuge for turning waste oil into diesel fuel.I'm very pleased with the unit's performance and the fact it is rebuildable, though in my usage I don't forsee that need. I have used the Senco nailer for years until recently it had been stolen. I decided to give the Porter Cable a try. My finish nailer & Router are both PC and I have had no problems with them and I use them both everyday. I have used the Senco & Hitachi guns and found that I like the Porter Cable best of all. The Porter Cable trigger isn't as sloppy as the Hitachi and not quite as tight as the Senco. The gun also seems to be quite lighter than both of the other guns and not as bulky as the Senco. Also another plus is that the box is not as big as the Senco box. All in all I have found that I enjoy the Porter Cable gun better than both of the other guns that I have compared with. You definitely get your money's worth with this gun and if carpentry is how you make a living like myself, you will not have to worry about going hungry ! 5 Star GunRead Best Reviews of Porter-Cable FR350 Round Head Framing Nailer Kit Here
I read the reviews of the FR350, and they convinced me to buy the tool. I will say this at the outset, the FR350 does NOT need a large compressor. I have a "pancake" type that does quite well with it. Finding nails was a bit of a chore at first, until I went to Home Depot and told them what I needed. There they were in the nail aisle. The tool itself feels solid, and drives nails like there's no tomorrow. I am rebuilding a basement with this and I would never have tackled the job without it.
But, and you knew there was a but, you must get the sequential trigger if you are not used to the trip firing method. I had a couple of "double taps" before I put on the new trigger. None since and replacing the trigger took all of three minutes.
This is the tool for the novice, and probably the pro. The case that comes with it holds the tool and accessories nicely.
You won't be sorry you bought this air hammer.

I started building a 10x12 foot shed about 1 month ago. At first I was using the old and arm tiring method of hammer and nail. My neighbor saw what I was doing and loaned me his Pasload framing nailer. It took about 5 milliseconds for me to realize that I was behind the times and needed to get a nailer for myself.I'm writing this review about 2 hours after I used the Porter Cable FR 350 for the first time. Except for the loud POP of the gun firing (that's why I only gave it 4 stars), each nail I shot went in with great ease. Speaking of nails, my local Home Depot has a great selection. The manual calls for 22 degree nails but the 21 degree work just as well.
I was impressed by its light weight compared to the Pasload. It generally took me 2 hands to handle the Pasload but I was able to use the PC with one hand with great ease.
If your looking for a good nailer with an even greater price, go with the the Porter Cable FR 350.

AAA 73 Piece Premium Excursion Road Kit
- Compact 73 piece road assistance kit by AAA and LifeLine First Aid
- Heavy-duty booster cable
- 250-psi air compressor
- Hand-charged dual LED flashlight
- Includes a 45 piece first-aid kit
Seventy-three pieces sounds like a great deal or bargain; however, keep in mind that one alcohol prep or small pamphlet is counted within that number. In addition, the accompanying hand-tools (e.g. screw driver, pliers) are of very low quality.
Overall, the kit is recommended, but users may consider supplementing the hand tools for better brands, such as Craftsman or Stanley, and adding other useful materials, such as air foam to fill tires, ice scraper (if one lives in cold climates), and much more.

this pack has a lot of great stuff, including jumper cables and an electric air compressor (would have never thought to buy one but now that i have it i feel much better) The triangle is heavy which is good for windy weather, and the wind-up flashlight is useful. The poncho and first-aid kit is a great extra. when i first got it i took everything out and played around with the different pieces and then was able to repack the bag to get it to zipper up easily (unlike maps where once you open you cant fold it again). The bag stays in my trunk at all times and feel that when i travel i will be safe for most situations.Read Best Reviews of AAA 73 Piece Premium Excursion Road Kit Here

A great value for the money. Comes with everything mentioned in the description above and is contained quite nicely and conveniently in the double sided/zippered bag. The contents are arranged nicely inside. The only thing it didn't come with was a glass breaking/seat belt cutting tool. The next AAA kit up comes with one, but you can get the tool cheaper than paying the price it costs to upgrade the kit.I bought two of these; one for my car and one for my husbands. Actually, he cut his finger pretty bad the other day so we got in the first aid part of the kit and used a band-aid!!The first time I needed to use an item from this kit it let me down. I had a slow leak in a tire, and discovered it while hundreds of miles from home. This kit has an air compressor -no problem right? Well the part that clamps on to the valve stem broke off in my hand before I even had the compressor out of my trunk. I've since replaced many of the components of this kit with separately purchased items. I'd have been better off just using the description of the kit as a packing list to build my own.
Tool Force A-C3 High Pressure Spray Gun
- High-pressure spray gun ideal for painting new work for covering up damaged repairs
- Pistol grip and a trigger for comfortable operation
- 1.8 millimeter nozzle
- 1 liter cup and 1/4-inch nozzle
- Requires a 2 to 3 HP compressor (not included)
One drawback: The instruction manual was nearly useless. A couple of springs and some gaskets were included in the box but there was no indication whatsoever where they were to be used. No instruction on use of air and paint knobs...in fact, save the box to find labels for the various parts of the gun. No breakdown of parts for assembly or disassembly or ordering replacements, either. That lost a rating star.
Aside from that, I had 12 each 4'x8' wooden latices to paint, and chose an oil based paint. Don't know yet how it will work with latex, but I assume you don't need an additive for lubrication as you do with the airless guns when using latex. Didn't have any info on what viscosity was acceptable to the gun, or how to measure it, so just poured the paint in out of the can. Hooked up to my compressor and started to spray. Worked like a charm. I fiddled a bit with the air and paint knobs but couldn't tell any difference and didn't want to get away from what was working. Used about 7/8 gallon of paint to finish all 12 pieces in about two or three hours of spraying. I'm sure I'd have run out of paint and patience using a brush or roller for the job.
Used mineral spirits and a rag to clean the sprayer. One thing to be sure to check is the two holes in the side of the front piece that eject only air to control the shape of the spray. Used a small brad to clean them and then worked with mineral spirits a bit more.
I'm now sold on this kind of painting. Beats heck out of buying spray cans for such projects. I've already got another project in mind: painting several rocking chairs on the front porch.
One caution: Be sure to use breathing protection and a face mask for eye protection.
Buy Tool Force A-C3 High Pressure Spray Gun Now
I have been using paint spraying equipment for over 40 years. This is a good cheap high pressure 50-70 gun. It shoots well at 40psi, and I would personally never go over 50 which is guns minimum. If you have to go to 70, your paint/reducer mix is probably to thick. A good rule of thumb is that the paint after reducing should be just between a drip and a run, but closer to a drip when viewing it off of the funnel screen (You are using a funnel screen, aren't you?) or test stick.
The so-called no drip function sometimes drips.
The body is painted and it is effected by thinners.
The locking mechanism is iffy and you need to take care when you have a full pot in order not
to think it is locked down and you spill the whole frigging thing all over yourself and the floor and whatever else gets in the way. (Been there, done that)
To the gent that could not figure out the controls, the top one is fan/air adjust, the bottom one is fluid adjust, and if you want to control the air intake of most guns you need to add a small gauge/control valve or a simple screw valve (PH5516 is what I use) before the separator, or just rely on the compressor valve.
A word to the wise, at 70psi, you will be using 9cfm consumption which will put a small compressor through its paces and because it is constantly going will add a lot of water to the system. You should always spray at the minimum pressure required for the job.
This is a good gun, but not a $300.00 Devilbiss.
Take the time to clean it out with the same reducer you used for the paint (Two gallons of reducer for one gallon of paint; one to thin, one to clean up) and to the point that
it comes out clear, and use a small brush to flush down the nozzle and cup areas (sometime soaking all the nozzle parts) and the gun should last for many years.

I bought this gun a couple of weeks ago to paint an old jon boat. It did a GREAT job, considering what I paid for it. I used very thick marine paint, and it shot it on with no problems. I have an old crappy compressor and it still did a good job. Paint was even and did not clog up or cause sags.If you are thinking about it, and are scared by the price, don't be. It is worth every penny you pay for it. You can find pictures of the paint job on my boat @ in the forum section under duck boats.

Oh my gosh, this is a fantastic add to anyone's tool box. I have toyed with the idea of getting one of these type sprayers for months, possibly years. Just never really knew quite how to use it or what I would use it on even though I have used many paints and painting equipment on many projects....Finally I decided I would get this sprayer..it was cheap and got decent if not great reviews...Well I would like to continue the great reviews. This product is light weight but solid feeling. Well built. Comes ready to uee. Easy to clean. Simple in application, just fill the container, set it, seal it (which will make sense to you after you actually see it) and hook it up to your compressor and go. As some of the other reviews say, it takes a bit to get used to the paint volume and air adjustment, but just fool with it and test it out on something and go to town. It never oversprayed and caused the project to run, had great coverage and very paint efficient. I had used a cordless Graco model that not only wnet thru paint fast, but was 20 times the cost and eventually broke after about 5 hours. Lesson learned. This unit does come with a few extra parts and as other reviews say the manual is not very cleear on usage or where these parts will go if needed eventually, but for the price I am not too worried about that....and I do not feel this unit will need any fixing as it feels very well put together. i only have one complaint...i wish I had purchased this a long time ago!!!!!Bought to paint a fence, but found it exceeds my original expectaion.Prop: Solid built, drop to garage floor many times, still works fine. Paint spray is fine and good.
Cons: only thing I found is manual not detail for the first time users.
Best value.

Hitachi C10FCE2 10-Inch Compound Miter Saw
- Carbide blade included
- Equipped with a 15-amp motor
- Large pivoting fence
- No-load speed of 5,000 RPM
- Bevel angle from 0-45, miter range from 0-52
Assembled the saw accessories in about 5 minutes (flip over fence, rear stabilizer bar, and hold down) and took it out to my shop. First up was a standard pine 2x4. Plugged in the saw and gave the trigger a pull. The first thing I noticed as a nice soft start mechanism, very nice. The blade started spinning and had little to no vibration. I love the horizontal anti vibe handle. Pulled the saw down and cut through the 2x4 like a hot knife through butter. I was impressed at this price point. Next up were some miter cuts. 52 degrees left and right, no problem. The indicator is very thin which makes for more exacting measurements, again very nice. Next up, bevel. Went to 45 degrees, gave the handle a tug and i had a clean 45 degree bevel. Checked the angles and they were spot on, right from the factory. I cut 2x6's, stacked 2 2x4's, and stacked 2 2x6's and it cut them without any problems or bogging down. This saw will cut 4x4 posts no problem at 90 degrees.
With the 5 year warrantee and a saw that performs like this you can't go wrong at $99.00 with free shipping.

I bought this same saw about a year ago at Lowes, I paid something like $150 for it. It's a great saw, really smooth and comfortable to use. Works great for cutting trim boards, but I've also used it as a chop saw to cut 2x6's, it doesn't bog down one bit when cutting larger stock. It's a little heavy, but to me that just means it's built better. It's also quiet compared to other miter saws I've used. This is definitely a great deal! I'm almost tempted to buy a second as a backup!Read Best Reviews of Hitachi C10FCE2 10-Inch Compound Miter Saw Here
I received this saw as a Christmas present in 2007. I've used it nearly every other weekend since, and the only complaint I have is with the manual. This was my first miter saw so I wanted to be sure that it was put together correctly, but the instructions were nearly incomprehensible. But, since I'm a guy and am used to not reading directions (j/k) I figured it out eventually. This saw is very powerful relative to other models in this price range. I had looked at the Dewalt saws, but didn't really think the quality of construction was the same since Black & Decker bought them out a few years back. I've used this to cut 4x4" treated posts and it slices through them like a hot knife through butter, with no motor lag at all. The sawdust catch-bag is a nice feature, but doesn't catch it all. I wasn't expecting it to, and having ANY of it get caught is a plus, and simply less clean up for me once the project is finished.
After receiving this saw, I did some research and found out that all Hitachi power tools have a 5 year limited warrantee. I've blown through 3 drills 1 Skil, 2 Black & Deckers (guess I didn't learn) on my trip to the Hitachi brand, and will never buy anything but Hitachi tools from here on out. I would recommend this tool to anyone that is looking for a professional quality tool at a decent price.
Want Hitachi C10FCE2 10-Inch Compound Miter Saw Discount?
This saw was bought as a replacement for a contractor grade Craftsman compound miter saw and boy... I should have upgraded sooner! The Craftsman saw weighs in at 55 lbs which makes it a pain to move and setup, however with this Hitachi weighing in at half the weight (just 26 lbs) not only makes it easier to move and setup it feels as well constructed as the Craftsman, if not better constructed. Also the built in carrying handle on top of this saw means no more having to carry it awkwardly or smashing my fingers!
The motor is nice and powerful and can easily cut through pressure treated 4x4 posts, 2x4s, you name it it cuts through it with ease. And the saw itself adjusts to pretty much any angle and beveling degree you can possibly need. The large fence allows you to cut some of the largest pieces of wood (like crown molding, window trim, etc.) without having to figure out a weird and dangerous way to hold the piece of wood while you make the cut. I can't remember how many times I've had to hold a piece awkwardly while making a cut because the fence is too short.
The added vise assembly is a HUGE plus, something that some of the more expensive saws don't even include.
Now you're thinking why did I give it only 4 stars? The dust bag only does a mediocre job at collecting dust and it's made in China... thats right a Japanese company making stuff in China. I really would have preferred to see it made in Japan or the US. It is covered by a five year warranty and made to the high standards of Hitachi... so it is a trade off.
Overall I would highly recommend this saw to anyone.
Pros:
Powerful.
Light-weight but very well constructed.
Fairly quiet, even for a miter saw.
Built in handle on the top of the unit makes transportation and setup much easier.
Comfortable handle.
Cons:
Made in China.
Dust bag doesn't collect a whole lot of dust... better then nothing though.I purchased this miter saw to replace its predecessor, Hitachi model C10FC2, which experienced a terminal encounter with my garage floor...
First Impressions:
This model is both smaller and lighter than I was expecting. Hitachi has apparently redesigned this product to minimize shipping costs from China. The bed of this saw is about 3 inches shorter than the C10FC2. It is also noticeably lighter. With these modifications, the saw can be packaged in a smaller (and flimsier) box. The saw pivots smoothly and has solid stops at common angles. The "D" style handle offers good control and is an improvement on the earlier pistol grip. I also like the fact that they have enlarged the throat of the dust collection bag; not nearly as much blockage. Finally, the Hitachi 5 year warranty makes this a reassuring choice.
The first thing I did after unpacking the saw was to align the fence(s)and blade. Next I upgraded the saw with a quality 80 tooth blade and an Irwin Miter Saw Laser Guide. Finally, I bolted the saw down to a larger plywood base to minimize tipping.
This saw delivers good basic accuracy at a reasonable price. As noted, the bed is kind of short. I suspect that commercial users will want to add extensions or build a cutting bed to handle longer pieces. The manufacturers have added a "flip fence" feature to the left fence to address some of these issues. Folded up, it provides support for taller material. Unfolded it pivots out horizontally and provides backing for longer materials. I was a little skeptical of the pivot, but it seems to work as intended. The only drawback is that you can't make bevel cuts with the flip fence retracted.
One disappointment is the redesigned material clamp/vise. They've downgraded this feature by using lighter materials and resizing the hand knob to the size of a small dial. The screw down clamp is mounted on a post which slides into a receiving vertical hole in the left or right fence. A second hole is lined up in the bed of the saw. So why couldn't they make these items the same size? The post slops around in the fence hole, but doesn't even fit into the receiving hole in the bed. If I used this feature more I'd be more concerned. It works, but its not pretty.
Overall, I am happy with the saw. Cuts were very accurate and repeatable. A reasonable tool for the hobbyist or home shop. Commercial users will probably need to make some of the noted upgrades. Too early to address durablility issues. I doubt this will be as robust as the earlier saw, but it will probably hold up if not abused (or dropped).

This "Dust Collector" is little more than a wall mounted shop vac. It will barely move light saw dust through a 20' hose, let alone shavings from a plainer or other high volume cutting machine. I had to buy a whole bunch of fittings and hook up my Rigid shop vac to run in tandem to the the Fox. It now works moderately effectively, but I still have the problem I bought the dust collector to begin with, mainly dealing with the shop vac and the floor space it takes up in my 1200 sq ft shop. I would not recomend throwing good money after bad on this machine. It just doesn't work.Tuesday, June 24, 2014

I'm a big fan of this cordless compressor. While it's not super powerful, filling tires from 0psi is no problem. I use it all the time around my small farm, sure beats lugging an air tank around. To fill 4 very low car tires, I used one fully charged battery plus 1/4 of another battery. It's multi function, it's easy togo from inflating tires, to inflating air mattresses.Pros: portable. Comes with many attachments. Easy to swap batteries
Cons: slow, loud, eats 18v batteries.

It's a low volume pump, it's not fast, but you can lock the trigger, set a pressure, and let it run.The shrader valve on mine was poor and broke, a $10 replacement locks on tight and lets it work very well.
Want Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi ZRP730 One+ Dual Function Inflator Discount?
This thing makes "topping off" tire pressure so easy since you can set a desired pressure up to 39 lbs, pull the ON trigger while sliding up the lock switch on the top handle and then stand back and let it run until it reaches your set pressure, and then it shuts off. Now it is not exactly like this since the final pressure after it shuts off is always a few lbs less than what it is set at but it is consistent in the way it operates. For car tires I set the dial on mine to 36 psi and it auto shuts off at 33 lbs.The auto shut max is 39 lbs-this is a safety measure. For inflating bicycle tires you let it run until it shuts off at 39,really 36 lbs, then squeeze the trigger on the handle while watching the LCD pressure gauge. It doesn't take long at all for it to inflate a bicycle tire.
I have had other battery powered inflators but the batteries in them always went bad after a few months. If you use Ryobi 1+ tools and keep the batteries on hand this thing is well worth the $40. Topping off the tire pressures in my vehicles with this way faster and easier than going to a gas station or setting up an air compressor.I bought this air pump to fill up an inflatable kayak and to use with my bicycle tires and so far, has done both jobs well. Seems well made and since I have the +1 battery system, it integrates with that well. Has plenty of power, is not too big and seems well made. Can't speak to durability over time, but after a few months, I'm satisfied.

I got both a staple gun and these staples on Amazon. I had kitchen bar stools at the island that had seen better days. I found a BRILLIANT piece of fabric to re-cover the seats, so I set my plan in motion. Amazon was GREAT once again, 2 day free shipping for Prime ..... obviously didn't wait long for these items. I sat to recover the first stool seat, but found that about every 5th staple got jammed in the gun. So it would be 3 minutes to open, empty, and re-load the gun every time this happened. Of course, by the end of the first stool's minor repair, I was sick of the project, frustrated about the lack of stamina in the staple strip. I came back to do another about a day and a half later. (no, I wasn't that p*ssed off, I just got busy with other things) Sadly, I had the exact same issue the entire time I did the second one. It's been more than a month and I haven't attempted to do the 3rd (of 6!) stool. The staples are just too frustrating.***let me add a side note here: before you think I am just some chick that didn't know what she was doing with a staple gun or a "tool", let me say that I am NOT an amateur! I have used SO many tools, even the big, scary, "manly" ones that make lots of noise, ;) so it was NOT lack of intelligence on the operators part. In fact, I have also had prior experience with staple guns before. I like to do the little projects around the house just as much as my husband. The staples sucked!! bottom line. don't know whether they were just ancient, being passed off to rid the inventory of another box, but I was disappointed that the strips didn't hold together well enough to complete such a simple task. I think about 1/3 of them were wasted in the process. In my eyes, that's a waste of time and money.
Want Arrow Fastener 504 Genuine T50 1/4-Inch Staples, 1,250-Pack Discount?
product arrived timely and as ordered....very pleased with the way the items were packaged and received to my door.I used all 1,250 of these in the process of stapling 1,000 square feet of foil radiant barrier to the trusses in my attic. I had a few jams and misfires along the way, resulting in loss of approximately 5% of the staples. In short, I was sufficiently satisfied with the quality of these staples such that I ordered two more boxes to continue with my project.

1/8" NPT(M) Tank Valve
- Campbell Hausfeld #MP3229 Carry Tank Valve
- CAMPBELL HAUSFELD
There isn't much of a price difference in valves when buying small quantities. So there's no reason to go with another brand.
