I've found that I use my air compressor a lot now for simple tasks like using compressed air to blow out dust in areas help clean out the garage, quickly fill tires in bicycles etc. Its much handier now to also use my nail guns quickly.
Here is the almost part:
The rubber hose is pretty soft like an inner tube so it attracts dirt and grime like nothing else. This really would be good for a greasy shop that needed it for pneumatic hand tools for cars.
I'm using it more around wood working so it picks up a ton of dust and particles from the ground. When guiding it as it winds up I feel like my hands are caked in grime. I think I would rather have it using one of the poly-somthing hoses that are a smooth finish.
Other than that It works great.

I would recommend this to everyone. It's a very good product with a great price. It's all made of good tough metal that won't bend and the hose is at good quality.Read Best Reviews of 3/8-Inch 100 Feet 100ft Retractable Reel w/ Rubber Air Hose Here
The unit is solid but our hose had severalSmall holes at the crimped end fitting and leaked. The crimping tool obviously missed theatre and hit the hose. An easy repair but annoying and unnecessary if they would just test these things at the factory. Another example of 90% craftsmanship in modern production.

This hose does exactly what I wanted it to do. I have had no problems with the reel rewinding or catching when it is suppose to catch. The hose itself is very durable. It can be mounted just about anywhere you want it, but is quite a job to mount on the wall if you are working alone as I was because of the weight, but it can and was accomplished. Shipping was fast and it was boxed well. No regrets at all.I have had this reel for about 2 months and it has worked perfectly!! My son and his friends work on their cars all the time and have had no problems with this reel. I use pneumatic tools often and this has been a great time saver. I added a 14 ft Goodyear lead hose that is much more flexible than the heavy duty hose that comes with the reel.I think the quality is top notch for the price payed. Highly recommend.Friday, August 30, 2013

I purchased this to extend the reach of a DC powered air compressor. Was deep in the desert of Mexico and found that this item didn't work. I was in a jam and had to extend the reach of the air compressor to inflate a flat tire on a boat trailer. That's when I found out that this item was defective. Had to cut off the connectors and do a quick and dirty splice into the wire attached to the air compressor.Don't buy this item. If you do buy this item please make sure to test it immediately.Everything is fine w/it other than we found out we actually had to either hold in on the cord which we plugged into the ext cord or push it in and then tape it on tight. Not what I wanted to do.price was right and length is great for reaching all our Durango's and Trailer's tires with our air compressor while still attached! Plus I don't have to move our riding lawnmower against the bumper to fill those tires!

Stanley Bostitch N62FNK-2 15-Gauge 1 1/4-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch Angled Finish Nailer
- 1 1/4-inch to 2-1/2-inch 15-gauge oil-free angled finish nailer
- Tool-free removable and angled magazine; adjustable depth control; bypass nail pusher
- Durable, lightweight magnesium housing
- Includes no-mar tip, 4 profile tips, 1,000 fasteners, durable plastic carrying case
- 11.63-by-3.13-inches; extremely light 3.8-pounds; 7-year limited warranty
The nail magazine is plastic and the housing is magnesium making this thing feel like a toy in your hand. I'm still a little skeptical about the plastic magazine and wonder if it would withstand the daily pounding of professional use (I'm only a heavy duty homeowner).
The good:
The oil free engine is fantastic. No oil on your work and no need to remember to oil it.
Easy to use and maintain.
Pretty much jam free (I've shot plenty of nails through it already).
VERY light.
The bad:
Only shoots Stanley nails (PC and Senco shoot a different type of nail). Not a problem as I see it [One home improvement store] sells them in boxes of 5000 (PC sells their nails in boxes of 1000).
Plastic magazine Not sure how long it will last.

From the sound of these reviews, the gun seems to work pretty good for homeowners & such. I've been a carpenter for 40 years. I've been using finish nailers for about 20 years. My last nail gun was a Duo-fast. I finally retired it recently, after 17+ years of service. Since the local lumber yard carries Bostich nails, I went with Bostich. I've had the gun 18 months & the piston rod has broken 3 times. Replacing it myself still cost me $35.00 a pop. Anybody who has trimmed a door or window or installed baseboard, knows it's immpossible not to hit a screw head or sheetrock nail once in a while. Well, everytime I hit one, the piston rod breaks. It breaks in the exact same spot. It appears to made of cast aluminum or something, instead of hardened or stainless steel. I like the gun & am thinking about getting somebody to manufacture a functional rod for me, since Bostich doesn't know how.I have been shopping for a 15 or 16 gauge finish nailer for about six months. This Bostitch is the only 15 gauge angled nailer that I have found to be priced in the straight 16 gauge price range. This is the best 15 gauge gun at any price. Just hold this gun in your hand and you will be convinced that you can't buy a better gun, period.
I had narrowed my choices down to the Bostitch, Porter-Cable and the new DeWalt.
The PC was nice, the price was right and I have had great success with my PC 18 gauge brad nailer, but the 15 gauge PC was way too heavy. Almost twice the weight of the Bostitch.
The DeWalt fit my small hands like a glove, was very light weight and within my budget (if I stayed with the straight nailer vs the angled model). However, I shyed away from the DeWalt models because the contact trip assembly had too many bends which didn't seem to operate as smoothly as the PC and Bostitch. The display model at a local hardware store already looked like it was on the verge of having problems. I'm not hard on my tools, but one nasty bump, or a fall off of the workbench and you might be out of business.
Finally the Bostitch!
At less than 4 lbs. it's the lightest in it's class, yet still packs the biggest punch of them all! 400 in./lbs. It only weighs about 1 lb. more than by Porter-Cable brad nailer.
The finish and quality are second to none. It just plain ol' feels good in your hand. It's balanced so well it feels like an extension of your hand.
I am on a major budget (per the wife), but this gun is definitely worth every penny of the MSRP of $.... So why is it selling for only $...? Either A) it's a "typo", or B) Amazon and/or Bostitch has gone loco. Whatever the reason, my advice is buy this nailer before they discover that they are practically giving it away. I'm sure this gun will be the standard by which all other finish nailers will be measured against. You will not regret this purchase!
"TEN Stars....Final answer"!
Want Stanley Bostitch N62FNK-2 15-Gauge 1 1/4-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch Angled Finish Nailer Discount?
I am a cabinet maker, and have been for more then 20 years, I bought a new bostitch T-36 finish nailer in 1983, to this day that gun has never failed to work, it has never been to a shop for repairs, of any kind. And I am very demanding of my tools, but I also take real good care of them and I do all of my own maintenance on my tools. I bought the new N62FNK-2 a few months ago because of carpo tunnel in my hands, and I needed a lighter gun to work with. All I can say is it is the best finish nailer to date that I have ever used, some of the things I really like about the N62 is it has low recoil in my hands when I shoot a nail, and the weight of the gun, and the balance, it's just perfect. when I'm shooting face frames on cabinet boxes the rubber nose really helps to stabilize the gun. I also like the power that it has, I can shoot a 2 1/2" nail thru 2 1/4" of solid oak and counter sink it a 1/6" at only 80lbs of air, and at a low counter sink setting using a 25' hose, so just think what you could do at 100lbs of air and a heavy counter sink setting, big oak crown mouldings, casings, it's endless what you could do. And for those who say they can't find an asortment of nails for the N62, I can tell you I have not had any problem finding and buying 1" all the way up to 2 1/2" nails for my gun. For me, it's the only finish nailer to have, and over the years I have used alot of different finish nailers out there, because most of my friends are contractors to. So I will keep my T-36 for shop backup, but with my new N62FNK I don't think I will ever need to use it. Thank you bostitch, you have done real good with this one.I am in the process of remodeling my "old" house. The walls are plaster which have become very brittle and delicate over the years. Hammering to install new molding was out of the question. I needed a gun that was light, powerful, easy to operate, and didn't require oiling so as not to make a mess in my home.I purchased the Bostitch N62FNK-2 nailer (my first nailer) based on the customer reviews and manufacturer information. This gun is absolutely amazing! It delivered everything I wanted in a nailer. I saved money because I didn't damage any of the existing plaster walls, all nails held firmly the first shot...hammering would have been a nightmare!!
I was a little apprehensive about using a nail gun since I had never owned one before. It was so easy and so fast!! My only improvement idea would be that the manufacturer offer variety nail packs, so you don't have to buy such large quantities of only one size nail... BUT... Have No fear...Go for it...perhaps the best tool I have ever owned!

Ingersoll-Rand 232TGSL 1/2-Inch Super-Duty Air Impact Wrench Thunder Gun
- Distinctive appearance, similar to IR ThunderGun racing tool
- Adjustable power regulator
- The Ingersoll-Rand fastest 1/2-inch impact wrench available
- 625-feet-per-pound of maximum reverse torque; 550-feet-per-pound of forward torque
- Weighs 6-pounds
I use this gun for work on big rigs and farm tractors. Can't beat it for the money. Just be sure to upgrade your hose and fittings to give it plenty of air.
The only downfall is that it uses alot of cfm at load. It will tap a smaller compressor if you are using it heavily.

I bought this item because all IR Tools seem to be the best in their class. I needed a replacement 1/2" Gun to replace the cheap one I got from Northern after the trigger fell out. I needed to run some 3/4" Nuts off the hitch on my Bobcat Trailer so I cranked up the gun on an older T30 IR Two-Stage Compressor set at 150 psi. I was really surprised that after soaking the non-rusted nuts with Liquid Wrench for a couple days, I couldn't get them to budge. Everything was right but the wrench was totally wimpy. I had to use a breaker bar and start them all without the wrench...When I asked at the dealer the sales person seemed confused by my issue but looked it up in the fine print and was very surprised to find that the tool requires 23 cfm to do real work. That's some huge cfm by most tools standards. In fact, without 23 cfm the tool makes a nice noise but it'll do no work. My pretty big 50 gal T30 IR Compressor is only good to 17 cfm at 150 which is probably too much pressure to put into the wrench over the long term...
There are lots of other tools including IR tools that work at the 6-8 cfm range but this Thunder Gun is not one of them! If I could exchange it, I truly would! It sat in the new box for almost a year before I needed it so I doubt that I could still swap it for a different lower cfm IR tool. Buyer Beware.

Want Ingersoll-Rand 232TGSL 1/2-Inch Super-Duty Air Impact Wrench Thunder Gun Discount?
This being my first impact gun I decided to go with Ingersoll Rand and the debate was between the thunder gun and the TiMax. Being a weekend mechanic I decided the TiMax was more for a professional working 8 hour days with the gun.The Thunder gun is close enough to the TiMax in torque power for my needs. It is much heavier but again I'm not holding the gun for any extended amount of time so the weight is a non-issue. It has enough torque to zip a lug nut that is torqued to 110 ft lbs off in less than a second. The lug nut is spinning freely before I realize the trigger has been fully pulled. Putting lug nuts back on using the forward torque setting is a breeze. I was able to dial in the forward torque to put them back on at around 80 ft lbs then use my torque wrench to get them at 110. It has been convenient to be able to go from full power in reverse to half power forward with just a switch of the button. If you need full power in forward it is easy to turn the dial also. I have a 6.5 HP 35 gallon compressor and can remove / install all 4 wheels without the compressor having to kick on to recover. It does kick the compressor on when trying to break a Really stuck bolt. Holding the trigger for several seconds at a time really sucks the air down, at 10cfm @ 90 psi my compressor so far has kept up just fine.
The protective yellow boot is a nice touch and has kept the gun from sliding on my garage floor and getting scratched up when I drag it around. However the nice yellow boot just seems to absorb grease and grim and mine is now mostly black. I tried cleaning it after each use hoping to keep it nice looking but it just didn't happen. It's not a big deal for me but worth mentioning to people hoping to keep a nice bright yellow boot, it will be a hassle.
That Nascar sound is awesome and makes me smile and just pull the trigger to hear it still all the time. It may not be exactly the Nascar sound but I'm not enough of a Nascar fan to be that picky, it sounds awesome. Anyone who hears it comments on how awesome it sounds. That's not much of a reason to buy a tool but anything to make you smile and enjoy working on your cars is a plus.
I had a small air leak as others mentioned which was a disappointment for sure to have an air leak right out of the box. I added a quick release fitting and thought it was the fitting I had added at first. I was able to quickly confirm it was the factory air fitting when I saw air/oil bubbles seeping from the threads. Removing the factory fitting and adding teflon tape only took a second but should not be needed with a flagship tool of such a respected name brand.
Overall great impact gun with a few minor flaws which I feel don't justify the loss of a star, you won't be disappointed provided your compressor can keep up.I am a lead tech at an Hyundai shop and I bought this guy bout 6mounths ago and i love it! It is vary loud tho but this gun has got me out of everything my old ingersoll-rand would not do! I recommend this gun to anyone that works with Impact guns!
Grip-Rite GRTMP16 Mini Palm Nailer
- Shoots up to a 16d nail
- Powerful compact design
- Lightweight at only 1 lb
- 70 Percent lighter and smaller than similar palm-sized air nailers
- Magnetic nose
I've just finished building a deck, using this mini-nailer to attach several dozen joist hangers and hurricane straps.
Pros:
As you can see from the Customer Images, this mini [palm] nailer is so small, it can fit into places a full-sized palm-nailer wouldn't. On this specific deck, there were two situations where only a mini nailer would fit, so I'm glad this tool was available. Size is this tool's advantage over a full-sized palm nailer.
This tool is very light. Although Grip-Rite doesn't call it a "palm-nailer", the design is a copy of its larger cousins. It's so tiny, "finger-tip" nailer seems about right.
Cons:
The Grip-Rite is far less powerful than a full-sized palm nailer, which isn't surprising. Small hammers aren't as powerful as large hammers.
As a test, I used it to drive a dozen 14 penny nails (3 5/6" long; .015" diameter), into a 3.5" thick beam of Laminated Veneered Lumber. LVL is one of the denser construction-grade wood products on the market. The Grip-Rite took at least 2 full seconds to drive each 14d nail, and took up to 5 seconds for many nails; even then, most nail-heads were not flush. 5 seconds is an eternity for a palm nailer. As a comparison, my Bostitch PN100 (a full-sized palm nailer) took 1/3 second to drive each and every nail flush; faster than you can say "amazing".
For [short] 10d joist hanger nails into southern pine, the mini-nailer is OK, although it's noticeably slower in hard wood than a full-sized palm-nailer, which sinks those short nails in an instant.
My Grip-Rite nailer leaked from the get-to between the two tool halves; and the factory Allen screws were tight. Not much air escapes, but enough so that a small air compressor comes on every 5 minutes when not using the tool. The "warranty" doesn't even cover seals, so if you buy one of these, check for air leaks immediately, before using it. Your best recourse with a leaking tool is to return it promptly for a refund. Of the dozen air tools in my shop, it's annoying that this is the only one that leaks. (I also removed the screws and the seal looked fine and was properly installed.)
Other:
As with any palm nailer, use hearing protection EVERY time you use it, even if driving a single nail. These tools are incredibly loud; even more so in confined spaces.
Summary:
If you don't own a palm nailer, my advice is to buy one of the full-sized models. Full sized palm nailers won't fit into super-small spaces, but they can drive a huge variety of nails into any wood in well under a second. This Grip-Rite is much more limited in its range of applications, and is simply unacceptable for large nails in hard wood.
However, if you already own a full-sized nailer, if you're a builder, or you are a tool nut like me; and you do so many projects that you'll likely face cramped spaces, mini-palm nailers like the Grip-Rite and Senco PC1195 are the smallest palm nailers on the market.
Buy Grip-Rite GRTMP16 Mini Palm Nailer Now
Very handy, won't replace your nail gun but will drive nails where you can't use a hammer, screw gun, or nail gun. Only short coming was toe nailing, but it more than makes up for that with what it does well. I used it to put up 3/8" soffit under eaves. Looped Mini Air nailer air hose over ladder with nail in it. Positioned soffit, held soffit with one hand and used nailer with other. You can reach out while holding on to ladder and drive nails one handed, so much lighter than nail gun. Worked very well driving nails next to fascia. If I wear it out I will replace it.Read Best Reviews of Grip-Rite GRTMP16 Mini Palm Nailer Here
I own a Ridgid full size palm nailer and bought the Grip-Rite Mini nailer because I had to work in some spaces where the full size nailer wouldn't fit. My Ridgid drives all kind of nails, big or small, quickly and surely, but the Ridgid's size is a limitation just like a regular hammer. So, enter the Grip-Rite Mini. It does work, fairly well, on big nails and gets into places the big nailer will not.My Grip-Rite leaked air, right out of the box, requiring tightening of 3 of the 4 cap screws to get it to stop. After fixing that, it worked fine, within its limitations. Contrary to what the company material says, the Grip-Rite Mini won't drive 16d nails well, if at all. The heads on 16d bright common nails are too large to go into the nose piece (impact socket). The opening in the nose piece is just slightly smaller than the average diameter of those nail heads found in a box of Grip-Rite 16d 3 1/2" bright common nails. Since the Mini wouldn't accept and drive their own common nails, I switched to 16d 3 1/2" finish nails for the spots I needed to use the Mini nailer. The shanks are smaller on the finish nails than on the common nails and still, the Mini nailer had difficulty driving them fully.
As a side note, I also own the Senco PC1195 Mini Palm Nailer which won't accept the big nail heads on the 16d common nails either, which was why I bought the Grip Rite Mini. Senco's manual tells you that their mini nailer has a head limitation and won't accept anything larger than .339" and the Grip Rite Mini manual states a head limitation size of 5/16 or .311". (The moral to that story is that I should have gone to Grip-Rite's site and downloaded the manual, instead of only reading the sales hype before buying the nailer.)
Measuring several 16d bright common heads revealed an average head size of well over .350". Measuring the heads on a dozen 12d 3 1/8" coated sinkers gave an average of over .330", but all of them easily fit into the opening of the Grip Rite Mini nose piece, which actually measured .350" on my unit.
In short, either Mini nailer is nice to have around, to complement a full size palm nailer. If you're wanting a palm nailer that simply works well on anything you want to throw at it, my advice would be to buy a full size nailer, like the DEWALT D51180 Heavy-Duty Palm Nailer or the Bostitch PN100K Impact Nailer Kit, instead of the Mini. The difference in power and ease of use is well worth the extra money for a full sized palm nailer, in my opinion. After seeing this tool on the Cool Tools show on tv, I bought three of them, one each for my dad and stepdad and one for my father in law for fathers day. They were amazed at the power and stability of it and all three said they would never use a hammer again unless absolutely necessary! I'm a woman and I tried it myself and it was so easy. It can get into tight spaces where hammers can't. Driving the nails is effortless and it gets the nails flush and there are no hammer marks on your wood. This definitely is a cool tool! I would recommend this to anyone.Best palm nailer I've used, including much larger ones. It packs the same punch with a faster hit speed than my older one, and it really is small!

I won't pretend it isn't loud, because it is. In fact it makes me jump every time it cycles on. But it's meant for use in construction, not in a library. If you're looking for a quieter compressor, there are other options, like the lighter duty DEWALT D55140 Trim Compressor.
I'm most pleased with saving the money over the cost of a new one. There were a few scuffs on the tank, but nothing I wouldn't cause myself in a few weeks of use anyway.
Incidentally, nothing comes in the box but the compressor and the manual. You'll need to get a hose and accessories separately.Got it right on the second try. The shipping carton allows the compressor to shift about and break the plastic housing without any obvious external damage to the packaging.

The Souce OA-BRACKET10 Vehicle Bracket for The Source High Performance Air System
- Holds 10 # Tanks
- Mounts Easily to Vehicle Floors
- Aluminum Alloy Construction
- Hammer Coated Finish
- Can be used in conjunction with Roll Bar Mounting Clamps
1st. The bracket securing strap uses a lever/fulcrum method to make sure the strap holds the tank very very tightly. And it does work, you can off road with this bracket and be certain your tank will not move. However, the strap itself needs a ton of room to work properly therefore limiting your mounting options to very large areas only. Basically you need the width of the bracket times 2 to mount and be able to use it. you can mount it horizontally, but the strap must be able to open upwards.. so you have only one option to mount it.. bracket lever upwards. If you are trying to mount in a tight spot pick another bracket.
2nd. NO THEFT PREVENTION FOR YOUR EXPENSIVE TANK.... The co2 tanks cost anywhere from 200.00-500.00 bucks. And the bracket itself is 45 bucks. Are you telling me that they never thought about theft prevention? They need to add a small hoop for a padlock or something so someone doesn't just walk up to your truck or jeep and walk away with your tank in 5 seconds flat. The bracket bolts into your truck so it it safe... but the tank is free for anyone to steal.
This bracket is solid as heck, and if you can find a place to mount it and pay a welder 40 bucks to add a bracket then you will like it. otherwise keep on looking.

The first reviewer was pretty accurate with his review, but there are updates I would add.1) I was frustrated with the lever strap for about 15 minutes, because I don't have room to fully open the lever. This seemed like an impossible hurdle. However, I realized that the strap did not need to open to remove the tank. You simply release the lever, which loosens the strap, then pull the tank up and out. This method is easier than fully opening the strap each time, then having to fully close it each time. There is little need to remove the tank for my purpose, except to have it refilled. I use it to air up my tires after running in the soft sand. The hose is long enough to reach all four tires. Even still, I can easily remove the tank if needed.
2) The locking problem is an issue. There is a very small hole that could take a pull pin to keep the strap from opening, but not big enough to accept a padlock. It looks like there is a way to lock it down with something but I haven't really tried yet. I plan to run a 20mm cable lock through the carry handle and around my chase rack tubing. Padlock's are as safe as zip ties when it comes to anyone really wanting your stuff. It would take someone 6 seconds to cut the lock and take the tank.
The Power Tank mount looks much better built, but then you get what you pay for... Get a Power Tank if you want a Power Tank mount. It also comes with a loop for a padlock. It only costs about $200 more!

I agree with the other reviews. I bought this hoping it would work ok and I didn't expect much since it was only 40.00 dollars at Harbor Freight. But it isn't worth even 40.00 dollars. You can't use it to blow dust off things because it runs out of pressure right away and it is constantly running the engine that has a high pitch noise that is too much for me. I'm taking it back and getting something with more than .6 SCFM at 90 psi. This is worthless to me.Read Best Reviews of Air Compressor 3 Gallon, 100 PSI Oilless Pancake Here
I purchased this from Harbor Freight Tools for around $30 after sales and coupons. Even at $30 this was a wast of money.I was thinking I could use it blow dust off my work bench, or air up tires. It does not produce enough air to even do that much.
It takes a long time to get up to pressure, and virtually never turns off.
What makes the bad is that the motor runs at the resonance frequency of the tank. So anytime the thing is plugged in it makes a high pitched whine.

For doing trim work, it has plenty of air and keeps up with the nailer just fine. It is light and easy to move around and most of all it is very quiet. The air compressor is real loud. Works well when it is fills up properly. Small enough to fit under a display case.Saturday, August 24, 2013

Didn't work for mine, I have a Frigidaire FAA055P7A which seems quite the popular AC to buy here on Amazon. I did follow one of the previous reviewers tip and measured the fins with a ruler before purchasing, mine had about 12 per one inch so I figured it would work on my AC. It didn't.Read Best Reviews of Advanced Tool Design Model ATD-3404 Condenser Fin Straightener Here
This tool WORKS, but you might want to buy 3 or 4 of them since the plastic teeth break after a few pulls through the fins. I had to resort to dragging the tool sideways across the bent fins to straighten them after a few of the teeth broke. A tool like this with either high-impact plastic or metal teeth would work much better. If it helps, I have a Coleman-Evcon heat pump/AC unit and the 14 count teeth worked well on my fins, until they broke of course.

I purchased this tool to straighten the condenser fins on my a/c unit that received some damage after a hail storm. Easy to put together, just screw the handle on the plastic straightener.Doesn't seem to have small enough combs for a residential unit, although I have not removed the wire cover to gain complete access to the fins.
Would probably work great on a car or truck radiator as the fins are much larger. This tool arrived in new package and very handy for straightening those bent fins on my air conditioner. Could not find this product in stores.

I purchased this unit from Tyler tool. Within 2 months the air pump broke. Then the plug would not work. the final straw was it would not take a charge. I called the black and Decker customer service and some guy by the name Angelo answered the phone. After giving me the run around about finding my receipt which I did, he tells me I have to lug this thing to the post office and send it to them and they might send me a new unit upon inspection. This charger was fully under the warranty but he wanted me to pay 20.00 to ship it to him so (Instead of sending me a new unit and paying the postage to return old one) they could check to see if I had a new one coming to me. He also goes on to tell me the charger was an old model they had trouble with, but it was not there fault, because they purchased a company that was responsible for the charge. ( it did have black and Decker all over it) I might have well kissed the 20 bucks goodbye, because I think it might have been going to India. Anyway to make a long story short, Black and Decker will not stand behind there products. He gave me some cock and bull story about how they bought this company from vector and the charger was defective. So I guess the consumer is the collateral damage. I hope this helps other consumers with there purchase, because if I ever see Black and Decker again I will not buy there products. Oh by the way I dumped the charger in the dumpster.Read Best Reviews of Black & Decker #5140045-42 Replacement A/C Charger Here
I purchased this for the Vector/Black & Decker SLH100V HID flashlight. It requires 13.8vdc / 750ma. This power supply is 12vdc / 500 ma output. It's imported junk & was a waste of money.Want Black & Decker #5140045-42 Replacement A/C Charger Discount?
***Be careful out there!
There are various pin sizes and the Barrel Plug is just too small for my booster pack (Husky HSK012HD). It depends on the age of the product to be charged, I am told. I went straight to Black and Decker Service (Baccus Global 1-877-571-2391)and was able to purchase it for more money plus shipping, totaled about $24.00, but at least now I have the correct charger. FYI the various Black and Decker replacement etc web sites all carry this version (P/N 5140045-42) which was the wrong version for this charger.Based on the compatibility list, I purchased this charger for my Vector VEC010S Jump Starter. Unfortunately the barrel plug doesn't even fit the charging receiver on the Jump Starter. So for me it was a no-go right out of the box. It should also be noted that this transformer weighs mere ounces it feels like a nearly empty plastic box. Now I'm no expert on "wall warts", but every other plug-in transformer I own is quite dense and weighty. What did they leave out of this one?
